As a Nintendo switch Minecraft player since the legacy edition for the Switch and 2,530 hours. I can confirm that I it takes forever to load, BUT since the latest update and downloading minecraft directly to the system memory the loadings times are way reduced only a min to load. With the bugs were you get an invalid session I just swap from local play then back to online by pressing y. Also, I have to reconnect my account once or twice a month. Forget about having a long term single player world, I have a 250 mb world it lags so frigging much and crashes every 10 min. Sometimes I can't even open chests or open UI without it crashing its rlly bad. I have beat my friends on pcs butterfly clicking and I absolutely Destroy them that's the 2k hours. I probably won't be very good bc the friggen game won't work in the latest version. So yeah... SO less time in the loading screen but game crashes and bugs out in a 200mb world
This is confirmed and happened to me as well. I also quit playing for a awhile but ended up just making a WHOLE NEW profile, Nintendo account and online account, but imo other than that it’s not really that bad kinda sad to see this
The Switch hardware isn't the whole issue. Bedrock on consoles is just pretty shoddy in general (I've had it literally hard crash my Xbox on numerous occasions) If you compare it to their Console Edition contemporaries the difference in performance and stability can be shocking. Mojang needs to make some heavy optimisation on Bedrock for consoles and it's crazy that it's been like 6 years since Better Together and many of the issues that people reported then still exist.
I agree with that and I own a Nintendo Switch with the $20 expansion pack I also think they should have an entity render distance and particle limiter in the game cuz those are the main 2 things they should have in the game but other than that the weird bugs at startup don't require restart you have to wait just like the server list and friends list and some things Mojang added "help the community" but yet people are reporting 1.2 Million bugs a year but only 3% gets patched
bedrocks peformance is just ass, i like get more than 60 fps on java and i literally just get 30 to 50 fps when playing bedrock (playing on my old low medium end pc), defo a bedrock problem
There used to be a glitch on the switch where if you had enough data on Minecraft, the game would take about 30 minutes to start. This made me stop playing the game for about a year
Issue isn't the switch hardware. I know this cause when bedrock originally came out on the switch it ran smooth as butter. They haven't been keeping up with optimization on the switch. Which sucks cause I know the switch could run it just fine if the just took the time to optimize it better.
I agree, I remember when the chunks would load so quick and everything ran smoothly, but as time went on, it got worse and worse. Every time I travel somewhere always have to wait by the unloaded chunks to load for about a minute or 2, just to do it all over again. I have lost many horses due to the game glitching out having me close the game, re open it, then I am teleported to a random location with my horse no where in sight. I am good at playing on the switch but these bugs that I have mentioned plus everything else needs to be fixed :/
Not just the switch they haven't been optimizing it for all consoles in general, I have an xbox one s and when i tried to create a world it took me at least 12-15 minutes to load in
@@Sukuna2437 It's also not just consoles, the PC and mobile version of bedrock runs like shit now too. In reality, there is no platform that runs bedrock well, bedrock's performance has just been that awful.
@@stevensanchez1192 Also, bedrock is coded using the main language of each hardware, for example android=kotlin, windows=c++, so there has to be adjustments for each device and what makes the lag even more is that bedrock has technical features in the behavior pack and resource pack so it makes the apk heavie
A lot of the issues on the switch version of minecraft are (in my opinion) because the original legacy console edition was a lot more optimised and so ran a decent bit better - also a lot of games designed for the switch don’t run badly at all. The issue is that mojang isn’t bothering to optimise it.
Optimizing the ancient 2015 hardware with very slow eMMC is already a challenged. Some of those games run well because most of them are in house games, others are significantly downgraded to look very blurry just to get playable 30 fps
@@superqaxclub if you litteraly can run Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal on stable 30 FPS, then Minecraft on Switch (not Legacy) was just poorly optimised and not realy thoughtfull
@@Crocdor_UwU not all developers are the same, doom is not the same as minecraft, one is stage based game and one is infinite open world that you can do literally anything, so optimizing open world is the big task, and the game can't expect what you put in the game (1000 tnt? 1000 mobs? Tony stark base? Complicated redstone?). Plus they have to support a lot of devices cross-platform (thousands of pc specs, thousands of phones, ps4, xbox one, xbox series, switch), can't blame the devs when they have to work there arse out to optimize half of ancient hardware in the list (2013 xbox one, 2013 ps4, 2015 switch, various weak mobile phone and pc)
u shouldve 1v1ed me :) as a switch player, life is hard plz fix bugs and fps needs improvement. this is both nintendos and microsoft's fault in my opinion
Hey watermelon I can aggre with u bc I have gotten in a game witbu before and I did combo u but u had an amazing clutch that I can hardly pull off so I can agree u are good on switch if u would like I can send u the clip of it but that's it and I think u r a very good switch player
I am not sure if this is a good example, as I have seen more demanding games run pretty well. It’s all about optimization. Some developers are good, some are bad, and some are questionably terrible at it.
@Jeff its not, really, on high end pc’s bedrock can render up to 96 chunks with decent enough performance, unless you’re talking about java but thats just badly optimized
@@RealValkorjava on pc isn't optimized at all it runs on single core which means you would have so much less performance over all unlike bedrock and for optimization of bedrock for console then they are already doing that the bedrock for ps5/xbox series X is running like an emulator for bedrock and they are currently working to make one optimized for them. And for switch... Don't get me wrong but it's hardware looks like something from ps3/xbox 360 which is probably why it could run lagacey minecraft better than bedrock (it stuck on 1.12 which is why it doesn't take that much performance) that's because after 1.13 so many servers stopped updating because of it and bedrock is the same 1.2 was good and optimized just like lagacey so i don't think its bedrock problem
@@NotTured what do you mean by stuck on 1.12? Do you mean the bedrock switch version or the legacy version? The legacy version was finished on 1.13 actually, with the aquatic update.
The problem is Bedrock and Mojang not optimizing their game for the target hardware, I still play Minecraft Legacy Edition which was developed by 4J specifically for the Switch and it’s smooth as butter, the difference is night and day. The Bedrock on Switch experience has actually gotten worse over the years, and I bought Minecraft the day it came out on Switch, so the hardware is definitely underpowered but really it’s a lack of optimization problem, and the session bugs are not the Switch’s fault, it’s their buggy engine.
In my opinion, since the new 1.16 updates, my phone can't and literally won't let me play properly without dropping frames or lagging. It's also for me to mention that my phone has decent RAM. We really need Microsoft to optimize bedrock more.
@Leonardo Matheus With a game as simple as minecraft you don't need a insane gpu. CPU and Memory are pretty much the only thing that matters, so yeah more RAM would probably fix it. If the game isn't managing its resources properly then it'll lag like it does on switch.
What really annoys me is how you can't get the Legacy Console Edition version of Minecraft on Switch anymore since it had no physical release and the digital is of course delisted. One thing I always wanted to play but couldn't because I didn't have a Wii U was the Minecraft Super Mario Mashup Pack, and so when I got Minecraft Bedrock for the Switch (I didn't get my switch in time to get the Legacy Console version) I was excited to finally play it. But it turns out it's completely BROKEN in Bedrock, many of the redstone contraptions like the Yellow Switch Palace don't work, the vanilla villages are deserted, some of the features are flat-out missing, and the infinite world generation being applied by force even though the original pack didn't use it messes up several things (Delfino Plaza is literally SNOW-COVERED, and the ocean there is FROZEN, like WHAT?!) and also causes a lot of lag and makes the game dip into _30fps_ at the edges of the map where the new terrain starts for some reason. So that was all a massive disappointment, and because they delisted the Legacy Console version for some reason (which I still don't understand, Bedrock is so different that it can't be a perfect replacement and keeping it up on the shop wouldn't harm Mojang financially because either way the user is still paying them to play Minecraft) I can't actually play the map as it was intended to be played anymore unless I get a Wii U. Both versions should be available to buy on Switch (or any system that has both, tbh).
100% agree. I was used to playing the mini games on the Wii U console version. I was disappointed you couldn’t play them on Switch because it’s only in the old version that’s delisted. I’d legitimately pay for an older copy of the game just to play the original minigames on Switch but I can’t because it’s delisted.
Nostalgia aside.I honestly like console version played on a console more than bedrock played on a console (of course if they did add the current updates) :)
@@dry4smash946 Almost like Console Edition was specifically designed for consoles, while Bedrock was made for a different platform (mobile) and then just force-ported onto everything else.
@@legoboy7107 yes and thats why i just dont like it… and also aside from the pc sweats that ur gonna probably encounter if ur trying to actually play hive or any server
I remember playing on a friend's world, he was on switch and I was on pc, and it was beyond abysmal. The first few days of playing were fine, but soon after beating the ender dragon, the world refused to load chunks. Like you would go someplace and tons of chunks weren't loaded and it would take several minutes for them to load, just to move like 100 blocks and do it all over again.
I agree with the fact that minecraft isnt the greatest on the nintendo switch, and that is is definitely underpowered, but one of the main reasons to get a switch in the first place isnt to mainly play games using super high graphics, but to play the games that are exclusive to the switch, like mario odyssey, botw, splatoon 3 for example. the example you gave comparing minecraft on a switch to a cheaper android tablet did show the performance difference vs the price difference between the two, but the android tablet isnt able to natively run probably around 99% of the games the switch has to offer (btw 2018 switches can actualy run android in a way without jailbreaking the switch). yes you can use an emulator on android, but unless you own those games you intend to play on it in a legal way which will cost you money, you either have to pirate, or not use the emulator at all. also people playing minecraft on the switch probably would just be looking to play survival are creative mode in singleplayer or with their friends, but probably the featured servers which are pretty much just cashgrabs. dont forget that the nintendo switch is made to be portable, and with its size its not very easy to fit powerful gpu with performance near the xbox series x or ps5, and its intended for the casual gamer, just like the wii was , and dispite it having much worse performance than its competitors at the time, it sold way better than all of them. and tbh, its kinda unfair to judge a console by the way it can run minecraft.
Regardless, if they're offering a game on Switch, it should meet certain baseline technical standards. The current state of the game on Switch (and other consoles apparently) is atrocious, and I'm amazed more media outlets haven't called them on it.
You clearly missed the point of the video. The video isn't about why, generally speaking, the Switch is a bad console. It's about why Minecraft on the Switch is a bad experience - and why you're better off playing the game on something else.
That isn't Nintendo's fault, Mojang just don't optimize their games enough, we can see the Switch run games like BOTW, and nobody owns a Nintendo Switch only for Minecraft, you buy a Switch for exclusive games
@KristiyanT Smash Ultimate is the best fighting game, it's perfect, and Nintendo has never been next gen, they have always been innovative, the only issue since 2017 I've had with the Switch it's the JoyCon drift, resolved with some Isopropyl Alcohol
To be honest when I first got a switch and started playing Minecraft on it those were my first thoughts but once I got used to the mechanics it’s really not like that except for the loading takes like six years-
For a bit more information on the specs, it specifically uses the Tegra X1 chip. A chip from 2015 made to be used in the Nividia Sheild TV (basically a roku or Apple TV). It’s overall close in power to something like a 360 or ps3.
Lmao no. Switch is significantly more powerful than a 360 or a PS3, although lacking behind Xbox One / PS4. The issue with Minecraft isn’t the switch itself. The legacy console version ran great on Switch, just as it did on Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4 before it - the problem here is the poorly optimized bedrock version, which runs like crap on all consoles. This one’s on Mojang and Microsoft. If they’re going to fix it, they’ll need to work on it.
I think that it isn’t the switch’s problem about how buggy Minecraft is, there are plenty of games, including Fortnite (more intensive than minecraft should ever be) that run perfectly fine on the switch. It’s the fact that the MCBE team doesn’t care for optimization at all.
Minecraft is definitely more intense than Fortnite, everything in Fortnite is pre rendered Minecraft has to do world generation on the fly which is very CPU intensive and has a lot of data to keep track up Fortnite is just one map that mostly doesn't change
The only problem is that every cpu has multiple cores in it but minecraft only uses a single one. Cpu cores have hardly improved since minecraft was made which is why Java and bedrock have painful amounts of lag.
1 year later, multiplayer is 100% broken for me and im unable to join any and all realms, cant sign in to nintendo or microsoft, cant access my skins and stuff that i paid for, etc. After all the troubleshooting in the world, i ended up just getting one of those cheap controller thingies for my phone and the experience is flawless.
I don't really agree with most of the stuff said in this video. The switch is incredibly made and runs games pretty well. Not all of them run perfectly but that's the trade off of having a portable console. Fortnite and Apex run with no issues albeit with lower frame rates than xbox or playstation consoles. But that's fine because if you want to play high powered games you can buy an xbox series s for 50$ less than the switch. Minecraft however has problems galore on all platforms, but alot more than usual on the switch. But it's not nintendo's fault because Minecraft ran incredibly on the Wii U, a console from 2012 with approx. 80% less power than the Switch. Also, the version made before bedrock edition (the 4J studios version) runs flawlessly on switch, which you can see for yourself by buying a physical copy of it or if you owned minecraft on the eshop before bedrock edition was released. It's a good video overall but most of the problems are blamed on the switch rather than mojang for not optimizing the switch version properly. Like you said the switch is like a "low to midrange tablet" when the switch is more like a mid to high range tablet. The samsung galaxy tab s8 which is one of the most high end android tablets avaliable right now has 8 GB of ram, while the switch has 4 GB. Low end android tablets have about 256MB to 1GB. I agree that minecraft sucks on the switch when it really shouldn't, but I feel like you critiqued the wrong thing here.
Definitely agree, I am glad someone finally made a video about this. The Switch also has a huge problem with running out of disk space on the Switch for your local personal Minecraft worlds. You are only allowed to use a small part of disk space and with the newer taller terrains in 1.18 you use up your small allotment of memory space very quickly. Thee Switch limits how much disk space each game is allowed to use on the console with no exceptions.

I play on switch and I can relate. I always get these glitches and when someone says “HoW Do YoU PlAY On 30 FpS it surprises them. The switch in my opinion is a great system as I have been playing on Joycons for forever. Sure, it isn’t a fancy Rtx pc, but it’s playable. I normally experience ping and lag spikes. I lag when I start combos and it ruins my combos sometimes. You just need to restart your switch if you expierience that issue.
2:44 I believe this is a bug as I had the same problem but MUCH more extreme taking 30+ minutes to load, resulting in having to wipe my save data. After wiping it loads much better.
Mine literally just doesn't load, it just says I have no storage capacity left while censoring some of the words because why not it's already unplayable might as well make you laugh at how bad it is And yes I should have a LOT of space left yet this happens
I actually play Minecraft on Switch a lot. Have 1,445 hours on the game, and I can say that a lot of the issues are pretty bad. I've had several crashes on my friends realm just from trying to open my inventory, a chest, hopper, crafting table, or furnace. It's honestly a pain and needs some kind of fix, but it's not too terrible, at least in my own opinion. I do plan on playing on PC once I do get one, but Switch will have to be my main for a while lol Also, I have played with keyboard and mouse on a PS5 my friend has, and it's not that bad considering I mainly use controller a lot
Also, I've never actually had the issue with Minecraft taking a while to load, mine loads within about 10-20 seconds. The only thing that takes a while is the Marketplace content, so it could be a storage thing(?)
I owned the 4j studios version before they made the bedrock edition so I can redownload it from the eShop, and I almost cried when I did the other day. Bedrock is so so so so so buggy and the 4j studios version feels smooth as butter. It also feels like Minecraft java edition which makes me sad that they don't update it anymore.
I used to play minecraft exclusively on the switch, and I have experienced all of these bugs. Back when I played (1.16), it was tolerable enough to get used to and pretty good at. Minecraft Bedrock on Switch is my most played game, with over 600 hours on it. That makes me completely qualified to say: This is the worst version of Minecraft being sold today. They USED to have a really polished, good looking version of Minecraft in Nintendo Switch Edition but deleted that from stores and replaced it with Bedrock (I was just months too late to get the old version). It shows that Minecraft can run at 60fps with fast chunk loading and snappy menus and that Bedrock is just really really badly optimized. I tried for years to put up with Bedrock but there's only so much five year old bugs that never get fixed that I can take. Seriously, there's some really egregious and obvious bugs they introduced in 1.16 that are STILL not fixed. It's just so janky and laggy and gross feeling. Particularly the mobile-gamey menus that take 2 seconds to process any input. I wish I could get Nintendo Switch Edition
They charge money to play online for consoles because I'm pretty sure the companies lose money selling the consoles, they attract you with cheap consoles then charge to play
Minecraft on Switch has been going through something comparable to dementia since mid 1.17 onwards. It was never the same after 1.18.30. I'm still holding onto a shred of hope that Mojang would at least improve 30% of overall optimization before completely dropping support for the switch, which I think will happen soon. P.S. The jungle leaves are still opaque & the bug tracker said it's fixed lmao sad

While true, something were forgetting here is that nintendo always made underpowered, cheap for the consumer console that the entire family can use, for an instance The Nintendo Wii was in the same generation as the 360 and PS3 and it ran at a native 480p while others ran at 720 p, and it still got the most sales. Why? because its an affordable console for everyone, and if you are gonna give a console to grandparents, middle aged people and young kids and every other generation its generally about having fun, not the performance. Also the bedrock edition is unoptimized piece of shit, microsoft should give it to someone that actually loves console minecraft like 4J studios.
I've played Switch MC for over 2k hours, and i would say it's not that bad. it does take a bit to get on minecraft but you get used to it. the FPS for me isn't that bad either since i can still aim on 97 sensitivity, and I don't encounter the bugs often. It's still worse than other devices, but it's half underrated imo
ye switch in my opinion is very good of course when there's too much memory its takes time.but that's telling you to get a micro sd card or just wipe out the data.for me I would just buy I micro sd card
for me: the giant deadzone in the switch controllers. i dont have high quality custom ones to use just the joy cons and a fake pro controller. i have to move a joystick more than 50% for it to do sth. you basically replace it with a D-pad and you wouldnt notice the difference. when i do circles on the joystick it does sqares on the screen. it basically ruins every game not just minecraft. (i also dont lime the jostick design on the switch). i spend most of my "mincraft time" playing on the wii u. i never had problems with it. crashes were really rare. ui was clearer designed. coop on the switch makes the ui soo tiny. controllers on the wii u were better designed and joystick never had such a big deadzone. also no pay for multiplayer and a ton of free texture packs with their own theme maps
Personally I don't have these issues playing minecraft on my Nintendo switch. Also the switch is not made for minecraft to be honest the switch is not poorly made at all it is made for other reasons its Nintendo so its made for their games not made for a huge game like minecraft. For example Legend of Zelda is a great running game unless you purposely crash it. The Nintendo switch hardly crashes to unless you have the most dog water mc donalds wifi. The case is that he totally dogd the switch for not able to run minecraft.
It's also 300 dollars. It's not made with crazy good parts like a pc, Xbox, or ps5. It is still a great console compared to their older ones. They have improved and they still have the worlds time to fix it also.
The Switch (and the Wii U even) ran the port by 4J Studios just fine as those were made tailored for the hardware. Mojang just needs to work on making it run better.
Bruh I'm literally almost experiencing EVERY SINGLE Glitch and Bug that was mentioned in this video. It's pretty annoying sometimes, I got used to it but some bugs are sometimes so annoying that I just quit for some hours or days.
As someone who used to play mc on the switch, it is definitely intended for the casual Minecraft experience, or more specifically the survival experience. Because I am more of a survival player, I had a lot more fun that someone who wants to pvp. I think with that mindset the switch version is alright. However it gets very laggy as more updates gets added, and I really don’t see the situation getting better. The switch was always meant for the casual user, not for someone who wants to grind out the game seriously
I think you’re forgetting that there are many other good games on the switch. (Zelda BOTW, Mario Odyssey, and MK8 Deluxe are a few of them). You’re acting like somebody is going to buy a switch just to play Minecraft, which probably nobody is going to do. Also, how are you going to compare the switch to an $100 Android tablet? It doesn’t make sense.
It's not the switch that's bad, it's bedrock's poor optimization and 4j studio's amazing legacy versions. 4j studios actually cared about the game, they made Minecarts faster because you wouldn't use it if it wasn't fast. If you hold the place button it will place blocks exactly how you want then to. They even made tutorials levels, while bedrock just has text. Microsoft just rushed bedrock on the switch for the better together update.
I’m personally an iPad player for Minecraft, which I’m good on. But lately I got an switch and a few days ago I got Minecraft for it. Of course I’m not very good on the switch bc I’m not used to controller gameplay, but I have very very good fps.
The thing is, shouldn't it be the developers' responsability to optimize their games for the platforms they're releasing them on? Of course, if you want to play bedrock you should just avoid the console versions in general, as those versions tend to be more broken. In a similar way you'd avoid the Win10 and mobile versions if you want to play Java.
As a Nintendo Switch user, people overreact about it. It’s not as bad as all the big RUclipsrs portray, it used to be pretty bad, but not anymore, no too bad now. Stop click baiting, this discussion ended years ago.

I've had minecraft on the switch since forever. Never really got into it. My oldest has played all growing up he's 12 now. I recently got into it however and I feel it looks better than it did. I actually think it looks really good in docked mode and I think most games look worse on it. I have it on mobile too but I prefer the switch. That's just me I know nothing of this game but I'm glad I'm getting into it because this is a game I'll be able to play with the kids when they are no longer at home. That's pretty cool to me.
I play on switch and in my opinion it’s not too bad, I don’t really notice the lag or anything even on a server (The Hive for example) right now, yes I can’t play on any servers or with my friends as my Microsoft account isn’t working rn. I do agree I hate the marketplace and that’s why I use pocket edition loads and I even made my SMP in it so I could have texture packs. You technically can have custom skins on Nintendo without paying but there are loads more combinations you can make with paying which is annoying. And playing Minecraft in a phone, that’s way harder in my opinion, like I have to do it as my switch isn’t letting me log into my Microsoft account but on pocket edition I suck at pvp and when I play on switch im ok?
Yeah it got so bad for me I had constant frame rate drops my world wouldn't load as in the chunks would become a void and I just got so tired I decided to waste $28 to buy Minecraft for PS4 and get realms so I could actually play my game and the world i have had for 3 years
Okay, yes there are "some" truths to this video. For example sometimes it does say invalid session on the marketplace when you load up Minecraft and yes you do have to reset the game to fix it. But I can argue a lot of other stuff. I play Nintendo switch Lite, out of all the systems people would assume that one to be the most worst. But, on an average the longest time it took me to load into Minecraft was probably about 15 seconds, the quickest time is around 5 seconds. I also have a world that I started all the way back in mid 2021 that I use as my main survival world. Right now it is sitting at approximately 332.4 MB, the longest is taking me to load into that world was probably a minute but the shortest time was probably at least 3 seconds. I have not experienced any graphical issues when loading into the world. When I sit down and go into a server it's not as bad as you're showing it as. I haven't experienced any lag, surprisingly (especially for being a Nintendo switch Lite). And I feel like in my opinion it's a lot better than how you're making it to seem.
As someone who has over 1,445 hours on Minecraft in switch, I will say that all the bug’s and slow loading times are a huge problem. However, you can definitely do really good on this version and it never feels too awful
There’s two versions of MC on the Switch and the current one that is receiving updates (the one you’re talking about in this vid) is AWEFUL! The other version, however, is a much better version that plays far better, no lag (although limited worlds), but it hasn’t received an update since it’s first year of release I believe. I’d much prefer to play the original release version but it is so outdated at this point :/
Its only Minecraft that has problems. Games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have good fps and no problems what so ever. It costed 300 Dollars! And over 1,000 worth of games! Zelda is also very high quality!
Some of the gameplay for this video was recorded on my Switch, while streaming on Twitch! Crazy how words work like that 🤔 www.twitch.tv/potatopie25
Sure bro

Bedrock on consoles is just pretty shoddy in general (I've had it literally hard crash my Xbox on numerous occasions)
If you compare it to their Console Edition contemporaries the difference in performance and stability can be shocking.
Mojang needs to make some heavy optimisation on Bedrock for consoles and it's crazy that it's been like 6 years since Better Together and many of the issues that people reported then still exist.

Huh. My hard crash game is usually MCC after around two to three hours of gameplay....
i legit get like 30-50 fps on my xbox one s just trying to play a normal survival world
I agree with that and I own a Nintendo Switch with the $20 expansion pack I also think they should have an entity render distance and particle limiter in the game cuz those are the main 2 things they should have in the game but other than that the weird bugs at startup don't require restart you have to wait just like the server list and friends list and some things Mojang added "help the community" but yet people are reporting 1.2 Million bugs a year but only 3% gets patched
I agree. Minecraft Switch edition (aka Console edition) runs at a beautiful 60 fps for me. I never experienced a single problem with it.
It ran legacy edition very well, so this is a bedrock problem, not a switch problem
Even then, it’s a pain to play on it.
4j studios also did a really good job at making it that way.

Make sure the game is installed on the system not on the SD card, loads faster.

@Jeff its not, really, on high end pc’s bedrock can render up to 96 chunks with decent enough performance, unless you’re talking about java but thats just badly optimized

I was lucky enough to get the legacy console version on the switch. I didn't know that there wasn't a physical release.
Nostalgia aside.I honestly like console version played on a console more than bedrock played on a console (of course if they did add the current updates) :)

Lol my switch cant open the dressing room without a freeze and it about every 5 minutes freezes
That isn't Nintendo's fault, Mojang just don't optimize their games enough, we can see the Switch run games like BOTW, and nobody owns a Nintendo Switch only for Minecraft, you buy a Switch for exclusive games
@KristiyanT It's just poor optimization
@KristiyanT Smash Ultimate is the best fighting game, it's perfect, and Nintendo has never been next gen, they have always been innovative, the only issue since 2017 I've had with the Switch it's the JoyCon drift, resolved with some Isopropyl Alcohol
@KristiyanT The online of Smash is like that because it's a flighting game so if someone has a shitty WiFi everyone lags for more precision

Bedrock runs so poorly on any device bro, legacy edition ran very well there
I don't really agree with most of the stuff said in this video.

Bruh Fr it’s logged out everytime I go in
@@Matt7000YT same man I just spam login till it shows my mc account. Also 1 question I only found out about the option to add servers besides the featured servers recently but still haven't found a reliable way to do it any ideas?
it is always so annoying
I have none of these issues, I don’t know why everyone else does but it could depend on the age of your switch or how well you’re taking care of it. Or your wifi
@@jetpond7904 probably wifi and switch age, Comcast is the worst :(
2:07 it's literally on the Switch's Wikipedia page, seems like i can't send links, but you'd just have to go to the page, then Ctrl + F for "CPU" if you're lazy, idk if anyone's ever mentioned this before, but searching for RUclips videos related to something isn't recommended if you aren't looking for some sort of tutorial, demonstration, or entertainment (if you can't be bothered to go to Wikipedia, then it's 4 Cortex-A57 cores @ 1.02 GHz, using an Nvidia Tegra X1/Tegra X1+ as it's SoC)
3:44 no the invalid game session error fixes itself once the skin finishes loading
5:13 fun fact did you know that to play split screen all accounts must have online too it’s very annoying and idk why they did that, and as a switch player who has also played on Xbox and pc I can confirm every single bug has happend too much on ONLY the switch besides the pink texture bug.
I hate how people always say oh blah blah blah minecraft on the switch is so bad but when really it's completely fine😑
cope
Negative people dont touch grass.
Never had a version of minecraft crash more often than the switch version.
They charge money to play online for consoles because I'm pretty sure the companies lose money selling the consoles, they attract you with cheap consoles then charge to play
Not the switch
Nintendo sells their consoles at a profit
Fucking have patience man! Just wait for the game to load! Geez!
Wait what's wrong with jungle leaves?
@@thedagenator2006 It looks as if you turn off fancy graphics, but the leaf item itself is normal.
On other Bedrock platforms, they look fine. Seems to be only on Switch.
Legacy edition and bedrock is like comparing the durability of bedrock vs a leaf block
for me minecraft loads up fine on the switch. there is the invalid session problem which sucks but the problem of not being looged into the microsoft account usually fixes itself as in it logs itself back in. I haven't played any online games on the switch tho
This isn’t even really a switch problem, the same damn thing happens on my ps4, I never minded bedrock edition compared to java but now I fucking hate bedrock
You can get custom texture packs on consoles, it’s tedious but if you have access to RUclips you’re able to do it. It’s not for moderation, but because on consoles you can’t download things like you can on pc and mobile.
The fact that it somehow runs better on my damn phone is sad
This doesn’t happen on my switch . The only problem I have sometimes is chunks take a while to render. Barely happens often though. And on public servers it runs great
@TokyoFool I’ve never experienced any of these issues other than a few chunk problems, so I don’t know what you’re on about. I’ve got a survival world, a bit creative world, and I play public servers a lot on it and it runs great.
@@jetpond7904 ok bucko i know your that you are lying, you are obvoiusly a Nintendo empolyee
@@ThatBoiLake who spit in your coffee this morning? Are you mad because I get to have a good switch experience and you don’t? Lol go deal with it
@@ThatBoiLake I have heard that some Switches run Minecraft significantly better than others. Also, the Switch could be newer, Minecraft installed smoother, and there worlds have less entities in them. This is coming from a player where it takes 15 minutes from starting up my game to opening my inventory, and on average it takes 30 seconds for a mined block to visually disappear (due to autosaving).
Do you play Minecraft digital or on cartridge
also, my old ps4 takes UP TO 40 MINUTES TO LOAD MINECRAFT AND HAS A DOWNLOADING PACKS ERROR WHENEVER I TRY TO DO ANYTHING THAT INVOLVES DOWNLOADING RECOURCE PACKS INCLUDING JOINING SERVERS while my switch doesn't have either of those issues and only takes 10 seconds at most to start up and about 1 minute to load the skin
and ps4 can't use achievements
@@8crafterSwitch can’t use achievements either.
Sincerely, a switch user (struggling)
Fun fact. NVIDIA Tegra is also used in computers like Microsoft Surface 1 and 2.
Not exactly the same chip that was the tegra 3 a much older chip the chip the switch uses was made in 2015 and was used in the Nvidia tablet and TV
i bought my switch back in december 2018 and minecraft used to run just fine. But now the game is unplayable, it takes me 5 to 20 seconds for the grass to disappear when i break it. crazy.
Bro, my iPad runs Minecraft faster than the switch.
Yeah since the switch is like 300 dollars and your ipad is probably three times the price

@@Bisectqr Isaacthecool1
Hello jakerbaker39
Yeah me neither had really those bugs and i can aim 100 sensitivity and combo :)
ye switch in my opinion is very good of course when there's too much memory its takes time.but that's telling you to get a micro sd card or just wipe out the data.for me I would just buy I micro sd card
I can't even boot up minecraft on the switchg without it crashing like 10 times 😂😂
It might be a bit scuffed but it’s not that bad
No it is that bad
It just comes to Mojang's poor optimization though
Ive been playimg its as good as on XBOX
for me: the giant deadzone in the switch controllers. i dont have high quality custom ones to use just the joy cons and a fake pro controller. i have to move a joystick more than 50% for it to do sth. you basically replace it with a D-pad and you wouldnt notice the difference. when i do circles on the joystick it does sqares on the screen. it basically ruins every game not just minecraft. (i also dont lime the jostick design on the switch).
i spend most of my "mincraft time" playing on the wii u. i never had problems with it. crashes were really rare. ui was clearer designed. coop on the switch makes the ui soo tiny. controllers on the wii u were better designed and joystick never had such a big deadzone. also no pay for multiplayer and a ton of free texture packs with their own theme maps
the hori split pad is alright
As a switch player I agree with all of this
He should've 1v1ed you

Hi
Wait till the “Switch 2” which will supposedly have the power of the PS4 and XBOX 1
TLDR switch mc is best experience in a survival world, maybe with friends but that gets laggy, not really sweaty pvp
Thanks for being sensible
4:02 Same happened to me I got SIGNED OUT of my switch right before the deadline for migration
😭😭
I think you’re forgetting that there are many other good games on the switch. (Zelda BOTW, Mario Odyssey, and MK8 Deluxe are a few of them). You’re acting like somebody is going to buy a switch just to play Minecraft, which probably nobody is going to do. Also, how are you going to compare the switch to an $100 Android tablet? It doesn’t make sense.
That is very true
Minecraft on swtich lowkey ruined the experience for me
The Steam Deck is portable yet able to play pc games like mw2 and fortnite pretty well but is also abt the same price as the switch being around $400
The Deck has minecraft?? That sounds badass if true

Tbh I have not had any of these problems other than the shop glitch but overall it really great on my switch lite
Same
It's not the switch that's bad, it's bedrock's poor optimization and 4j studio's amazing legacy versions.
The invalid session thing also happens for pc when i was on 1.18.12
It’s happened on Xbox too, just a general bedrock bug I believe
I’m personally an iPad player for Minecraft, which I’m good on. But lately I got an switch and a few days ago I got Minecraft for it. Of course I’m not very good on the switch bc I’m not used to controller gameplay, but I have very very good fps.
runs good on my end 🤷♂
This is totally a Bedrock problem. Not the Switch does need to be updated.
Yes, but it's Nintendo's fault that the Switch is so weak. Even on release, its specs were lacking.
Fun fact : I play it on Nintendo cuz I'm broke af-
As a Nintendo Switch user, people overreact about it. It’s not as bad as all the big RUclipsrs portray, it used to be pretty bad, but not anymore, no too bad now. Stop click baiting, this discussion ended years ago.
Well you said it…the big channels went over this but the glitches got patched and some are trying to still get views by using old content.
had a city made in survival, went exploring and the render was so bad i couldn’t even find my city, went in creative and still couldn’t find it, switch minecraft sucks
Cords
I mean people are so picky nowadays, expecting pc performance and graphics out of a handheld system. Be realistic and enjoy it for what is it.
I find it weird because I managed to get really solid fps for minecraft on switch so
NO SWICH IS GOOD

tegra was NOT designed to be put into mobile phones. also. tegra, if I'm not mistaken, was the first chip designed for android devices that featured directs support. tegra was a really powerful CPU back then (before switch release), it was actually used on nvidia's own shield tablet and shield tv, which were NOT the same as a normal smartphones and not even the same as normal tablets and tv boxes. there might be some grammatical and speech errors and also I might have made a few mistakes about hardware, but the thing is since switch is capable of running normal android, im pretty sure andorid version of Minecraft will run better on it while at the same time giving more freedom and features than switch version, so the hardware is not really a problem.
I have a good device. So I usually just connect the joy cons and play Minecraft so it doesn’t lag. The only problem is that the controls are not good ESPECIALLY THE ROTATING TIME WHY ONLY 100 SENSITIVY
And I feel like in my opinion it's a lot better than how you're making it to seem.
at this point they probably shoulda just kept the switch running legacy console edition.
As someone who has over 1,445 hours on Minecraft in switch, I will say that all the bug’s and slow loading times are a huge problem. However, you can definitely do really good on this version and it never feels too awful
It would be a nightmare if the 1,445 hours were from the game loading.
Oh boy If you saw how minecraft runs on my phone Compared to a Nintendo switch💀
Its only Minecraft that has problems. Games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
have good fps and no problems what so ever. It costed 300 Dollars! And over 1,000 worth of games! Zelda is also very high quality!
How did you record the switch gameplay? I’m trying to make videos and that’s what I play on.
