Comment if you have played this version before. Not that many people downloaded it but somehow people are still playing. Also I'll be starting a PS3 legacy series on survival soon so let me know any ideas you have for that! Thanks for checking out the video
On August 2017, I was 11 and bedrock for switch hadn't been a thought at the time. My Mum went out and bought 2 £25 Nintendo gift cards for me, since she couldn't find Minecraft for Nintendo Switch physically at GAME, so I ended up purchasing Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition on the E-Shop with them. I still have the game to this very day, shout outs to my Mum.
This version is one of the reasons I can't wait till the Switch is easily modable. Having this Legacy version of Minecraft portably would be awesome, and it would be optimized and actually be able to run on the Switch!
The Psvita version is updated to aquatic update, it's not quite the same, obviously doesn't run as well, but that always can work as a substitute until the switch is more accessible to mod.
January 2018, I just got a new nintendo switch for christmas and been wanting Minecraft for a while. So younger me was able to convince my parents to get me Minecraft, and at least have 300 hours on it now. Never upgraded to bedrock for a while, but was surprised when it was taken off the e-shop. So glad I got this edition and still own it to this day.
Luckily i have bought this version of Minecraft when it was still in the eShop. Now I am playing it more often than the Minecraft Bedrock, it is just a polished version for the Nintendo Switch. I'm glad that I've had the opportunity to buy it.
I used to play Wii U edition, so I got legacy edition on Switch. I still have it to this day and people do still play it i believe, and I also play it sometimes it's so cool to think how I own such a rare version of one of my favorite games!
I still have the legacy edition for the Switch too, I love to play with my old worlds, one thing I appreciated about the discontinuation is that they gave us Bedrock edition for free while keeping legacy too.
I remember playing this edition and I used to friend random ppl on mini games. Sometimes I go back to this version for nostalgia and cause it generally runs better than bedrock switch
Wow, this is really cool to know because I remember buying it on my Switch Digitally. I didn't realize there was such a short gap in which you could obtain it. Crazy, because I had this sort of situation with The Legend of Zelda Four Swords Anniversary Edition back on my DSi years ago!
as soon as I saw the video I looked for the nsp of this version and it is incredible 60fps stable without bugs or anything, long life to the switch hack
My dad bought me this version Way back in 2017 when I first got my Switch I use to play a lot back then and I use to play with the maps and texture packs it came with
I am SO proud that I still have this. I’ll never forget the day where I got a $50 E-Shop card someday after I got my Switch on my birthday. I remember buying Sonic Mania and THIS. I enjoyed it a lot, maybe a little better than the newer one.
I consider this to be the definitive console release of Minecraft. It stopped getting updates with 1.12.2, which I mark as the end of the original era. 1.13 added the Phantom, which was the first time since the game's initial release that something was changed about how you play it instead of new things just being added to the game, which makes it feel more like a sequel to me. Later updates also went in this direction. 1.12.2 is therefore my favorite version, and the only console releases to stop there were Switch, 3DS, and Xbox One. And the best of these three is easy to pick - Switch runs better than 3DS and has more Waluigi than Xbox, so it wins easily :P My wife and I still play this version regularly. We've been in the same Creative world since 2017 and have logged hundreds of hours into it.
@@GhabulousGhoti It still changed quite a few things about how the game is played. Even without the combat changes(Which Bedrock also didn't get), it is still probably a bigger leap than phantoms.
I was part of the Nintendo Switch Edition community long after Bedrock replaced it as the main edition. Despite it being unlisted for years, there's still a lot of people who play it regularly. You can find random people to play with by going on Battle mode, then adding them from the recently played list, which is how the game manages to stay alive. People have built little minigame servers where you kill mobs to get rewards. It's really neat.
