The caddy for the stackable pans can be used instead of an aluminum foil sling for the bundt cake pan and other containers for pot-in-pot cooking. I have found that I can fit the trivet under the stackable pans to allow a bit more clearance between the bottom of the pot and whatever I'm cooking. I like to cook rice and other side dishes in a pyrex storage bowl. When it's finished cooking, let it cool a bit, put on the lid, and put it directly into the fridge.
The pans are my favourite! Cooking rice on the bottom pan and a dish on the top pan or even just one pan with the handle. The handle stays cool even after cooking is a time saver. Thank you for sharing your tips.
That colander type steamer basket is great for cooking meatloaf. It lets all the grease drain out, so you can even use fattier ground beef that's on sale. I use panko bread crumbs in meatloaf. I've used down to only 73% / 27% ground beef and never had a greasy one.
Thanks so much... I was asked to provide a want list for a relative (for her to select a gift list) for her to know what to give me for Christmas. This was a perfect video as I have wanted to have some accessories for my 3 qt IP.
Hi Nili! TY for doing this Instant pot accessories! You're a great inventor for space & time saver with accommodating Mason jars (8 oz & 4 oz) into the Instant Pot (3 qt) I wish you can do a vacuum sealer video if you can. If not, then it's ok Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
As always, another informative video... I really need to get my mini out more and use it more... being in the truck makes it a bit more difficult but I need to try to do more beyond hard boiled eggs and egg bites. Again, great job!
Can you recommend a steam diverter that fits the 3 quart Instant Pot? I have the newer duo model that has a separate switch for steam release instead of the kind with the lever on one side of the steam vent. Thank you.
Thank you for all of the information. I'm trying to learn about these things before I purchase one. I'm leaning towards this little one as there is only my husband and myself to cook for and we aren't big on leftovers.
Thanks for this video. After watching some of your reviews on accessories I purchased several for my 6 qt. IP. Very glad I did. I use my pot very often for a variety of things. I just may have to invest in the mini for cooking dishes for times when it is just me and my hubby.
Do u have a recipe for the sous vide egg bites? That egg bites mold on Amazon w/the tall trivet u showed, is the cutest thing! Honestly I need more egg bites than just 8 at a time but I love keeping my baby IP (3qt) on my counter.
Excellent video and very informative. Thank you Nili. Do you have any recommendations for a cookbook for baking. I have Martha Stewart’s pressure cooker cookbook which I enjoy immensely in the recipes are delicious. Thanks for all you do prayers for you and your children and your husband🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hi there! The link provided for the stackable pans seems to link to a different set for the 8 qt. IP. I have looked around on Amazon and can’t seem to find the one that you show with the three tiers including the steamer pan stackable.
Great demo. I was looking for pot in pots for the 3qrt one. Your link is for a 8qt 3 layer pip. A comint does say its kind compatible with the 3qt. Whats the maximum amount of egg's you can boil/steam in it ? Also do you know if a turkey drum stick can fir in it ? Edit: Ok so I got the 3 qt. Looks like a small drum stick would fit in it. And can probably boil 16 egg's
I have the same steamer basket and enjoy using it, but I want to mention that the bottom of the piece (the legs) has come off my basket. It appears to have been glued on.
I’ve been looking for a pan to bake it but I can’t find any for the small one. Is there any pan to bake in aside from the one with the whole in the center? Some people say the old Pyrex (that says for baking on it) can be used but some people claim they explode. I want to be able to bake cakes and bread.
For slow cooking do I need to buy the instant pot glass lid with the steam hole on the Amazon web site or can I use my regular tempered glass lid without the steam hole that fits on the 3at duo mini?
Love this video! I have Instant Pot 8qt. I know these fit, but are there other accessories that are bigger like a bigger steamer basket? or I should just stick to these? I am looking to get more accessories for my instant pot.
Definitely go with bigger accessories if you're cooking in an 8qt. On a lot of the Amazon listings (like for stackable pans and steamer baskets) have a drop-down menu where you can choose what size you want. I'm hoping to do an 8qt accessories video soon too!
@@IndigoNili yes, please do an 8qt video! I want to know more before I actually buy the accessories so I don't buy something I don't use. Thank you! Looking forward to that video!
I've never found smell transfer to be a problem so I've never switched rings. I do store my lid upside down on top of my instant pot to let our air out though. I think that helps.
@@IndigoNili After I wrote that I realized obviously it works above the line. She just did it! Quarantine has slowed my brain processing way down! LOL Thanks for the quick reply on an older post.
Help! I have cooked two cheesecakes using your wonderful blankslate recipe, but even when I covered it the cake seemed to explode and make a mess. I also want to avoid using aluminum foil in there (health reasons). Do you think that I can make the cheesecakes in the stacking pans and use the lid? I am buying your recipe book for the mini instapot and hope I can adapt the many of the recipes to keto. I just need to figure out how to cook in here. I love the jar idea for making mini cheesecakes with the jar lids!!! TY
@@IndigoNili I"m using a 3qt instapot. When I say explode that may be a bit extreme. I should have said splatter and bits of the cake get into the water and all over. I used your recipe for the blankslate cake and it was delicious... Thanks for answering!!! I am ordering now and want to try the cheesecake in the stacking pans. I think you did that in another video.
So, I've found that some models seem to heat up faster at the beginning and I think that is what is causing the "explosion" to happen. I never had that problem with the older models. The best fix I've found is cooking on low pressure and trying to raise the pan as high as possible above the bottom of the pot. You can use a taller trivet or roll up balls of foil and put them on the bottom of your pot and put your trivet on top of them. Covering the pan won't necessarily help keep the cake from rising but it will help keep the mess down if it does! Hope that helps! 🤩
A lot of the things you are putting in the pot look like they are going above the fill line. I thought I couldn't put anything above that line. Am I incorrect on that point? I just got my instant pot mini and have only made rice and a small pot roast and a batch of white beans (they did not cook all the way).
When it comes to accessories, my understanding is that it's no problem if they go past the max line. As long as the lid closes, you're fine. As far as the beans, I find that if I don't add enough water to completely cover the beans through the whole cooktime, the ones on top are still a little crunchy. Try adding a bit more water next time!
Yes, I'd recommend looking specifically for ones that fit the 6qt so you can maximize the model you have. Amazon listings for steamer baskets and stackable pans often have a drop down menu where you can choose what size you want. 😁

Miss seeing the kids. Hope all is well with everyone.

Get a little bailing wire and you can make it to work with a little hook keeping you safe from the heat.
Love this video! No aluminum waste. My life is full of 4 oz jars and especially the 8 0z. Wide mouth. Will be checking out stackables today!!

I followed your link for the stacking pans, and it only shows 6qt and 8qt. Does the 6qt fit the 3qt mini instant pot?
Very cool!
Do you feel extra sealing rings are necessary when changing from spicy to sweet dishes? Tks!
I've never found smell transfer to be a problem so I've never switched rings. I do store my lid upside down on top of my instant pot to let our air out though. I think that helps.
Is there a cheescake pan for the mini?
Does the pot in pot accessory go above the line on the 3 quart insert? It looked close to the top in the video.
It's no problem for an accessory to go over the max line. As long as the lid closes it's fine. 😊

Can you cook in a 3 qt inner pot inside a 6qt innerpot in the 6qt instant pot and reduce the recipe size?
No, it won't seal that way
