In 1982 I was 10 years old. I knew something big was going on when my dad invited my uncles, my grandpa and some friends over to watch that fight. Thanks Larry and Gerry
I grew up watching boxing in the very early 80s...and my God it was so exciting ....hagler....hearns...Holmes...
What fantastic fights they put on . I watched Larry's epic battles against weaver....cooney...snipes ...shavers ..
Witherspoon and so on. I met Larry in Birmingham a few years ago and he was a class act. Gerry cooney is also a class act ....sadly for Gerry Larry holmes was the champion in gerrys prime. Holyfield was involved in some of the greatest fights I've also ever seen. A true warrior in the ring.we should enjoy downloads like this because 1 day and 1 day very soon they will be no longer with us to tell us what they think. I take my hat off to everyone on that stage for the excitement you gave us in the boxing ring.
I remember watching boxing in the early 70's and have seen some of the greatest fights that have ever been broadcasted. I can honestly say those guys didn't back away from anybody. They were real gladiators, and their motivation was to become the best. They trained hard and could fight for 15 rounds without having to lean on each other with their mouth wide open. I look at the heavyweights of today, and my God, after three rounds, they're ready to call it quits. The older fighters had the heart and the will to become the best.
Frazier and Ali are bigger than one lifetime to best one another.
Thanks for sharing! Holyfield & Holmes 2 of the greatest.
Thank you so much for putting this up!!!
Joe Frazier autographed for us at Mayport navy...but I remembered his leg being as big as my trunk!!
so cool to see larry and Gerry together !! that fight was a major event when I was 15 yrs. old. the first heavy weight fight I ever saw !!
Sure was I was 12 and yeah first heavyweight fight I saw
Thank you for Sharing very cool !!!
Brilliant
Heroes still
These guys were my heroes....
when is the Holyfield book , "what my Mama said" coming out
I want to read that book when it comes out
@@kristalhart no doubt ! every interview he has he quotes his mama .. it’s heart warming
The great Carlos Ortiz--predictably--predicting that Mayweather would beat Pacquiao. This man knows boxing!
Lou Duva of course hes one of the best boxers of all time it only makes sense that he knows his boxing
I would LOVE to see the raw footage of this roundtable.
Great lesson u got to work before u get paid
@azucarcruz Thanks. I enjoyed this roundtable. A lot of moments shared.
I love Evander Holyfield ❤️ #1 👍🏼🌹
Holyfield is one humble man.
@fatso1ification This is one of my favorites. I really enjoy listening to what they are saying.
Look how small marvis looks beside the rest, little piece of leather that was well put together just like his dad.
I was expecting Joe, not Marvis. Lol
@lucky44124 I enjoyed this media event.
i agree with holy boxing is decreasing this days cause boxer just want to get paid, the y just thing first in the money they don't show up respect for the sport look floyd
Did anyone notice that Holyfields ears are a bid asymmetrical? I wonder what's the cause...
Tyson bite it off
Tyson was under MK Ultra mind control that night
@@kristalhartHe was being sarcastic
This era anit shit hip hop boxing nba nfl ... all water down
You said it all man
Marvin wasnt shit oh please
What's Cooney and Marvis doing up there? Scratching my head!
Not 1 of those guys could have beaten Wladimir Klitschko in their prime though, maybe he was a boring fighter but he could punch like a truck running you over.
You are clearly delusional. All of them would have.also Mike Tyson in his prime would have beat all of them.he had the fastest hands in heavyweight history and hit harder than all of them.
Holyfield & Holmes 100& would. Cooney maybe since he hit hard and Wladimir had a bad chin. I'd give Frazier a good chance too. Joe not Marvis
