Each car built by Lexus is a statement, reflecting the culture the history the values and the tradition of this great nation, respect and love from NZ.
What I’d love to see happen is that customer service facilitated across models of whatever year. There’s a significant amount of interest in the maintenance and restoration of older models by both original and new owners of older models. Accessibility of replacement parts and as well, most importantly that engagement by dealerships for the Brand, to acknowledge that the BRAND didn’t earn its stripes from the current lines but it’s a cumulative process of loyalty and reliability that would’ve fueled the continuity in having the likes of the LC500, IS500 and the resurgence of the IS-F etc. being sought after. Which reminds me - as a Lexus owner myself - I have a slogan for the Brand, how could one reach Lexus Japan to engage the Marketing Team?
Indeed. The japanese value the quality of their work as a character presentation card of themselves to the world. They don’t want to be perceived as indisciplined in any way or form.

Several months ago I saw your video where you compared the 911 to the LC500. I had rented several 911s over the years but never an LC. Well, I had the chance to rent one during New Year week and everything you said in the video is true. The build quality, engine note, and driving dynamics are absolutely phenomenal. As much as I love the 911, (it's my favorite sports car) I'd rather own an LC. The one I rented had over 80k miles on it and it still operated like new. Meanwhile, my 2018 Mercedes E43 AMG has creaks in the interior (at 42k miles...) and cheap plastic materials. I'll be trading it in later this year. Tremendous video. Thank you so much for sharing. It is great to learn more about the Toyota Production System and how it is implemented at Toyota and Lexus manufacturing plants.
I just ordered an LC500 and cannot wait to receive this wonderfully hand built machine. I’m so grateful the Japanese still value quality over quantity. This is a vehicle I will keep for a long time. It’s so cool to see the attention to detail each station puts into every step of installation. By far and above the level of quality anything made in America. I will never not own Japanese made vehicles. The quality is just simply unmatched. Thank you Japan for amazing pieces of engineering and artwork. Such a beautiful piece of ingenuity. Long live the Japanese!
David thank you. What are the best books to learn the Toyota Production System? I have read the Machine that Changed the World but I feel like I only scratched the surface of what actually makes it special. And my goodness that is a clean shop.
There are many books, but the "foundational" books are those written by Dr. Liker and also by Mike Hoseus (series of Toyota Way books). I know the authors personally and they explain the concepts very well.
Well I am most of the way through Toyota Way 2nd ed, 14 management principles, and it is just awesome. There is one story about a high up executive going down on the production line and dipping his hands in a vat of oil to show someone that it a machine wasn't working because it was full of sludge.
Nice. Did you get the Dynamic Handling Package with the rear wheel steering feature, variable ratio steering and carbon roof? I'm about to get the 2024 coupe either with the Sports or Dynamic. Need to decide soon.
Definitely a huge difference between all the factories in each country. I have had the privilege of owning the Japanese made Lexus vehicles and most recently a Canadian made RX by the grace of God. The North American factories (including Toyota) have a long way to go in terms of Takumi. I have owned a 07 RXh (Japan) and now a 22 RXh and the build quality is much better in the 07. My hope is that Lexus/Toyota management would consider more input from existing owners like they used to. Even the car buying experience surveys are generic compared to what it was before.
Quality is built into The System. Quality begins with transformation of the individual. (Deming) I love my RX350, 2010 with 210,000 miles. Perfect, no squeaks, no rattles. Enjoy your work, thank you.

This is the best car factory in the world, bar none. Everything they make in this plant is TRUE QUALITY.
Thanks David for this rare look inside! Great video to see the foundations with new tech!
For me it's the most beautiful car ever built.❤
Thank you for this video! I LOVE my LC500.
Thank you for generating and sharing this superb video. It’s given me such a deeper appreciation of my LC500. The assembly process, engineering, and attention to detail of passionate people building a masterpiece GT road weapon.
Excellent presentation.. Absolutely a high-quality product.
Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your experience!! I love the lc500, and I hope I can get one in the next 2 years.
I have a 2017 and I can't thank you.Enough for showing me this wonderful video:43
I would love to go to Japan and see the factories in person
Nicely done. American’s cars aren’t in the same universe. Thank you for the amazing video. I wish I could afford such a perfect machine. It is so perfect I would not want to drive on the freeways in Houston.😊
The way they work shows how much they respect their clients.
It's a perfect example of the Japanese culture and philosophy.
Tremendous video. Thank you so much for sharing. It is great to learn more about the Toyota Production System and how it is implemented at Toyota and Lexus manufacturing plants.
His English is commendable, good pronunciation and clear!
I've had nothing but trouble with German cars (cough Audi). I am very strongly considering a Lexus for my next car!
Audi is the worst
I’m very excited to buy my dream convertible LC in a few years!
Congratulations!!
I enjoy my LC500 ‘19 and this video helped me to understand how much love and quality involved. Thank you for a video
Thank you David for this really great video - fully explains why this car is so special - amazing...
Great video, would love to also see the 70 series factory and them being built if you ever get a chance!
Excellent video
Thank-you SO MUCH for this wonderful video!
The art of automaking by Lexus with play-by-play from David!👍
AWESOME!!!! Got My Gx460 last August, and the LC 500 is on my wish list....🤞
@@AutomotivePress Thank you, got the audiobook! (well one of many).
Well I am most of the way through Toyota Way 2nd ed, 14 management principles, and it is just awesome. There is one story about a high up executive going down on the production line and dipping his hands in a vat of oil to show someone that it a machine wasn't working because it was full of sludge.
I just got one today. Amazing car.
Nice. Did you get the Dynamic Handling Package with the rear wheel steering feature, variable ratio steering and carbon roof? I'm about to get the 2024 coupe either with the Sports or Dynamic. Need to decide soon.
@@tomhui87 2018. The best car in the world. Japanese Ferrari + James Bond vibe.
@@alansapilipinas is it comfortable on long rides?
@@Test.966single greatest car in the world. It’s so exotic and fun and powerful Japanese quality amazing engineering masterpiece
It is
Lexus LC is a different quality car ! Dream car
This is gold footage 😊😊😊thank you for sharing a master piece footage. 😊
Amazing dedication to quality.
Quality is built into The System. Quality begins with transformation of the individual. (Deming)
I love my RX350, 2010 with 210,000 miles. Perfect, no squeaks, no rattles. Enjoy your work, thank you.
Great video, David! Hope you can visit more factories in Japan and soon in Korea.
excellent video!
