It is incredible what people can do when money no longer becomes an object. The LFA, along with other legends like the McLaren F1, will always have a special place in my heart, since it's a true passion project overseen by people with genuine passion and love for engineering, not money. As an engineering student I really appreciate and value that

It may not be the fastest supercar out there but the build quality, attention to detail and it's unique engine is above all other auto giants in it's category.
This car cost 750K to build and was sold for 325K when it was on showroom floors each car lost 425K , but atleast it's getting it's recognition it deserves now
Oh and second but related fun fact, it was supposed to be aluminium but took so long to design and build they started again when carbon composites had improved and moved to carbon fibre instead
Any car manufacturer can make their cars sound great like this one, whether indoor or outdoor noise. However, Lexus has managed to make itself the pioneer in providing this kind of sensation in the industry... If they had made it in mid engine layout like what Ferrari does, it would've been the most sensational car with the best performance.
The car had great performance. This car was beating Ferraris at the time. I hate that people make this car seem like it’s all sound. It’s not this car was a legit performer.
@@Toyota4Life You might have forgotten that handling is also considered one of the aspects of driving sensation. Cars with mid engine layout can help you rotate your car better, this aspect can even make driving difficult in an interesting way that tests your ability. 👌
@Toyota4Life and who said the car only has sound? I talked about performance just for the numbers that don't stand out compared to the competitors of the time but also don't overpower, the car is great in handling and chassis balance, it's great in driving sensations, one of the best of all time, sensations are just about sound , get it now?

Will go down in history as one of the most iconic cars ever made. Hands down the best sounding car ever. Funny enough, the company that made it lost millions building it but the owners will make millions reselling it.
All brands' priority is to make profit, Lexus included. The difference is that Lexus doesn't cut corners for reliability and features while somehow still able to keep their car's prices below Mercedes and BMW. In the LFA's case, they're making it not just for the fun of it and making a masterpiece, but they're also using it as the brand's halo car. It won't make profit, but it'll help sell their other cars by drawing in fans.
Correction: something not mentioned in the video is that The LFA was made of Aluminum in the beginning and they switched to carbon fiber at the 11th hour and after the cars were already produced. They had to convert every car and that decision caused a big financial constraint and delayed it's official debut date. But it was the best decision which contributed to the cars weight loss and safety. Edit: I rushed to comment, the switchover is actually mentioned in the video at 9:04.
Dear Lexus Please restart the LFA factory and build the LFA Mk2. This time they will sell like no other car because we now know what the Mk1 is and what it is worth.
