    The universe knew I needed this. I literally just ended a situation and I realize that I need to love myself because I never would've even been attracted to that if I were able to love myself. I shouldn't need a man to love me.

      Preach! You do not need a man. You will find one that supports and uplifts you but you have to take care of yourself first and foremost. I'm sending you all the best vibes on your journey of self love 💖

    I really needed this. In the past couple years I have gained a ton of weight due to a life-saving medication. All I can focus on is the side effects and wanting to hide my body rather than the fact that I can experience life now. Thank you for this podcast ❤❤❤

      How exciting that you found a life saving medication!!! I am also on one for my chronic illness and I know side effects and body changes can be so frustrating but how lucky are we to have access to medication that we need!
      I hope you fall back in love with your new body- or at least are able to start your body neutrality & acceptance journey. 💖💖💖

    Thank you for this video because I struggle a lot with being told I’m too skinny or being part of the itty bitty titty committee

    The whole time I was thinking you look like Megan Fox 🤩. You make a lot of really good points. Blending in is boring; standing out makes you shine the brightest. Great video !

    So many good ideas and important thoughts. When you were talking about weight, and earlier you talked about Sophia Loren, look at the weight of beautiful women in the 60s and 70s. Size 8 was beautiful. We don't have to fit into ever smaller cookie cutters!

    • @LunaSeranova
      @LunaSeranova  Месяц назад

      Yes! Marilyn Monroe was a size 6-8! And she was the epitome of gorgeous! Just goes to show that all sizes are beautiful and we really shouldn't listen to what society says is attractive. 💖💖💖

    Practicing body neutrality and body positivity takes time, but it does feel better than all that worrying and picking oneself a part. But it's definitely a practice to always work on.
    But we got this!!! 😎

    (Sorry in advance for the long comment-I’m wordy & talkative if you can’t already tell 😂)
    Love your tips-I had the same issue with my nose growing up. I have a very asymmetrical face/nose/midline for my lips & teeth, & I was so insecure about it. But then as a young adult I realized I have my Nana’s nose & face, & she just absolutely glowed with light & beauty. I would NEVER have looked at her & thought anything was wrong about her face. Her soul shined through. I of course do little skincare & maintenance & makeup tricks to lessen some asymmetry but I instead started meditating & working on myself inside. I could have a day where I feel I look a bit more masculine in my features, don’t my do my hair, or wear baggy sweats to run out for errands but if I’m in the right mindset-listening to music that brings me joy, dancing & singing alone in my car-I have the best interactions! Strangers will comment on my “beauty” & I realized it has nothing to do with my looks or my nose… it’s how I feel & make them feel when I’m in that state. 🥰
    I also learned over the years that the people who buy into what you “should” look like, what you “should” be wearing, what’s suddenly in/out of style, & project that onto others by posting on TikTok, ridiculing & laughing at others for not keeping up with trends-they’re deeply insecure themselves. They’re tryjng desperately to convince themselves they feel good because their eyebrows or lips or lashes or clothes match what’s (briefly) considered attractive at the moment in pop-culture, & if they put others down it will (ineffectively) mask their own fears.
    Someone who glows, radiates light & love, those people you just LOVE to be around because they light up a room & boost everyone around them with their energy & presence-like they just have the sun shining within them-those people NEVER put anyone down. They only see & spread beauty & light & joyous energy.
    I try to remember all this on my difficult & tender days & do things that bring back my inner light (which includes watching your videos in the morning while I do my self-care routines, Ms. Luna! ☺️💖). I try to remind myself not to get angry or let old hurt come up when I see someone putting down others online-they’re covering up pain with false-security & false-confidence (I’m not always good at this part yet, it’s hard to not get triggered when someone is being cruel).
    Thank you for this episode-& I absolutely LOVE you book!!
