  • We're building a 350 stroker from a small 302 Ford. Then, it's time to check out a Dodge concept truck - the Ram Rod. Finally, we relax a bit with a ride in the Lincoln Blackwood.

It's amazing how much more power you can make from stock block modern motors as compared to back then. A 350 HP 302 was very expensive back in the 90s and early 2000s. Even the 572 in Copperhead was underpowered for it's size. That's a 1200 HP motor nowadays.

The Blackwood looks like most trucks built today luxurious with a useless bed.

So not even a year later, you got an engine that made more hp than that crappy 4.7. Though you did have to deal with dropping valve seats. Hard to imagine this was 20 years ago

Kinda low on power for 350 stroked cubic inches with those upgrades. My stock headed, non roller rockers, 351w roller cam motor made 358hp w/long tubes 9.5 to 1 comp ratio, weiand stealth intake, cam was equivalent to an F cam from ford roughly. 387ftlbs torque. 89 bronco

Are the factory heads on the 351 Windsor V8 ported and polished or are they stock cast.

@@bobsyouruncle1008 i built the 331 many years ago. I cant even remember the exact date. As to tuning if i can tune my own engine surely shows with access to the latest and greatest and engine building shops around the same era can. Ive built 302s with 380ish hp. I worked parttime (for free) in a local machine shop to learn.
As to LS , nah i already have 1300hp (mild tune) 327 c.i. ford modular build. Just have to find the right car. Looking for a 66/67 fairlane. Last car I build.

Seems to me the bottom of the block needs to have a little notch ground out of the bore for rod clearance. I think that a 347 has a 3.4 stroke, what's the stroke on a 350?

Definitely highly annoying , you think the huge plastic so-called grill on that So-called Podge is big , You haven't seen the current Toyota Camry lately ,that grill is 3 times a stupidly big as this 3rd rate so-called truck , Goes miles into the actual bumper cover & around the corner of Both ends on said bumper ,& I'll bet measured inch for inch The Biggest plastic grill on any vehicle the confirmed obnoxious looking crack induced Toyota Camry. All because some idiot can't design Auto semitry at all.
