AEW is not ran by a billionaire businessman that is passionate about pro wrestling, but a wrestling fanboy with a rich dad.
Right, note how AEW and WCW started very differently. WCW was more or less a successor to Jim Crockett Promotions, AEW was made by a bunch of indie wrestlers and iirc 2 WWE veterans who got a mark to be their patron. One of the former WWE vet left about 2 years into the project and jumped to WWE (which he said was based on a personal issue, I think there was also more locker room chaos/favoritism towards Jericho and personal issues as well and he omitted the former to be charitable), I had *some* hope for AEW for a while but once Cody left, I had a hunch it would only be downhill from there.
It’s almost like getting rid of Cody and Punk for the Bucks and Jack Perry was a bad idea
I am convinced that while Cody probably did have personal issues which caused him to leave AEW. I think the main reason was he saw the writing on the wall and there was chaos upstairs/Jericho having an ego and he noped out and omitted that to be charitable. The fact he came back to WWE is all you need to know, especially since he clearly still wrestled before his return

In reality, all we're seeing is what AEW ratings would look like without The Big Bang Theory lead in. If TBBT ceases to exist, AEW average ratings are in the 600,000 mark at best.
TBBT is just reruns, this year is the final season of the prequel, Young Sheldon on CBS, I think.

The reason cited for AEW's bad ratings this week is that the lead in was Black Panther which was only 500,000 something.

AEW has lost almost half of their audience in less then a year after Punk got fired. This sucks to see happen, but they’ve been making every bad decision possible since Wembley. We all want them to fix the show so we have more wrestling than WWE but it’s never going to happen. It’s sad to say it, but the “Death of AEW” Vice special is going to happen much sooner than we’d all thought.

As I said on another RUclips video, if AEW is pinning their viewer numbers on a different show artificially pumping up their numbers, then their heads are not focused on the problem.
If they put the real mainevent first match to artificially bump it more.
People watch Big Bang theory till 8pm and then turn the TV off from the remote, but not from the main switch.
The cable box is still on, which is why when the tv is switched back on, the last network is still playing on TV.
Which then shows that people are still watching the network. Even though they maybe having dinner or go out.
This week dynamite didn't have big bang as the lead in, and then the number dropped drastically.

It's just sad at this point. Those of us who wanted AEW to succeed saw the writing on the wall years ago. Danielson and Punk coming in should have been the turning of the tide away from the Orange Cassidy best friends hour. Instead Tony doubled-down on it. Just sad.

I wanted aew to succeed until year two when I realized Tony is a horrible booker and a terrible, awkard, cringy person who doesn't listen. He deserves this. Screw TK and all the people in aew that have allowed this crap.
It breaks my heart to be honest. Think about it AEW corralled all the beach ball / What? fans. If AEW goes away those people are just going to start showing back up and trying to highjack WWE shows.

AEW SUCKS. Just doing my part to get this video more views than AEW this past week.
Their first opening segment was 586,000. On their flagship show. If that doesn't alarm them over there, nothing will. It shows that people dont even care to tune in at the start of the show.
It has definitely happened to me so many times before where I was like I'm gonna tune in to see what is going on. And immediately after watching just a fews mins I stop watching. And now I dont care enough to tune in to give the show a chance
These are the excuses for AEW's low ratings I've seen so far:
The weather being nice (🤣)
Kendrick Lamar's concert in California (which happened like three hours BEFORE AEW even started 🤣)
The Olympic Trials (which are primarily in the daytime as they start several hours before AEW comes on 🤣)
Juneteenth (I don't know a single person who celebrates this as an actual holiday 🤣)
Black Panther being on TV instead of The Big Bang Theory (which proves that show is needed for AEW to have an average rating above 600K🤣)
Gee whiz AEW had terrible luck this week! Good thing NXT didn't go head to head with The Stanley Cup Finals or anything like that, I'm sure they would've lost the same amount. Oh wait....

This is what the AEW trend seems to be. Like WCW, there was the slow decline but as if by magic, when the decline started, then it was fast.

I'll NEVER forget Chris Jericho saying that AEW Dynamite would have bigger numbers than WWE Monday Night RAW in a short amount of time. As CM Punk said, AEW is nothing more than a brand of wrestling that caters to a niche audience.
Dynamite isn't going to last with those numbers. TK needs to bring in someone to turn the ship and hand the booking responsibility over.
