I really love the way you style all of your knits. You're such an inspiration for all knitters! Thank you so much for talking about your modifications to help the rest of us make a knit more wearable!!!!!!!
Hey Jackie, thank you for giving me a space to think about my knitting in a different way. I do have some other projects that I can think about differently.❤. You rock. You’re inspiring. Good on you. Keep the lovely content flowing. ❤
I love watching the evolution of your thought process surrounding your makes in terms of what you like, what you don't, and best of all, figuring out the WHY. That's often been my issue, and your analysis is already proving useful. Patterns are maps, but we can always choose a different road to our destination.
I really love your perspective and love how you focus on slowing down to observe shear works for each of us. You are such an amazing knitter and your presentation is always so inspiring 😍😍😍
Well, Jackie, I had my next projects pretty much planned and had not thought I would make the Weekender, but you have definitely just made me change my mind. I love the idea of playing around with it in different yarns and colours, and I so appreciate all your teacher-y/pedagogical explanations when it comes to the various modifications. Thank you for the inspiration and for making your videos. I love spending time with you 😘💚
I loved the transitions in design changes. I wish I lived close to experience knitters to learn these modification first hand. Love the linen weekender! I want to try one of these.
What an amazing deep dive. It's so good to see your process in action, and to see how you style them differently. Your'e such a brilliant maker! Thank you for sharing this. xoxo
Thank you to the folks that suggested I just sew up the neckline of the original. I did not do this because it would not raise the neckline or change the scale in the sternum area. I’m keeping my originals as Andrea designed them, but have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the pattern to make it suit my taste. 🥰
You are so right… make & modify until …. I have a bad habit of modifying the first go-round. I’m still keeping the integrity of the original design. I realllllly need to get some L&K, looks fabulous! Thanks for sharing your modification processes!
I have had your summer Weekender version in my queue since I saw you make it and have Quince yarn for it. I need to cast it on and adjust the neckline as I also don’t like the wide boatneck of the original. Thanks for the inspiration and I also love the fitted versions!
I have this pattern and the yarn lingering in my yarn stash. you inspired me to pull it out and get going. Every one of your Weekenders has it's own unique look, not repeating at all. Thanks for sharing it.
It’s not a knitting race yet you’ve knit four versions while I’m still working on my first 😂. Love that sleeveless version - look forward to making that one as well.
Such a brilliant idea and so beautiful. Andrea must be so impressed with your modifications. So I guess I buy her pattern and find your modification. Great cause I don’t like the boat neck for me anyway. Judy
I made several weekenders and I sewed up the boat neck an inch or more on each side just leaving enough space to pull my head. Works great and no bra showing.❤️🇨🇦❤️
Of course-🥰🥰🥰 I think the overall knit, per pattern, is well proportioned with the wide opening. I didn’t want to change that, but so glad you found a great work around! ❤💪
I was thinking Jackie , Why don't you just take in a few more stitches at the neckline , just sew them together then it would not be as wide , that's what I did on mine . all of them look beautiful on you !🍾

Same!💖

I sincerely agree with your lovely comment! I found this episode to be the uttermost inspiring in every way too.

They are all beautiful, but that neckline on the last one! It is so good.

Thanks Jackie! Loved this video, gorgeous knits.
I enjoyed your explanation of stumbling into a new neckline for your riff on the weekender.

Great style and colorist.
I agree with the wide neck, but I just “sew-ed” it more closed. Voila! WILL YOU BE AT L&K ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND? WHAT DAY?
Of course-🥰🥰🥰 I think the overall knit, per pattern, is well proportioned with the wide opening. I didn’t want to change that, but so glad you found a great work around! ❤💪

I love your weekender. Just take some stitches on the shoulders to close up the neck and wear those beauties ❤
Love watching your videos but I wish that you had a more sensitive microphone. I feel that I miss some of what u r saying.
I love your podcasts. You are so talented but I can't hear you.
I’m so sorry about that! I do have a microphone on, so I’m not sure how to fix.
