Red is a powerful color in traditional Japanese society, which has strong emotions rather than ideas. As the color of the sun in Japanese culture and on the Japanese flag, red is the color of energy, vitality, warmth and strength. Red also represents love and intimacy, including sexual desire and the life force and energy in people.

Another OUTSTANDING and well-narrated video Hafiz - thank you. Let me offer my comments on the GS SBGH269. I own three GS watches, including this particular piece. I agree with just about everything you highlighted.
When I wear my watch its true colors shine bright. In the sun or room light, the dial pops with a deep crimson red. And yet, in dim or shaded light, the dial displays hues of reddish-brown. As you pointed out, the sharply faceted dial indices flicker and dance in any amount of light with the slightest movement of my wrist. The quick flashes of light catch my eye ever so slightly that I always seem to take a peek at my watch with a smile. The gold GS name and minute hand offer a warm contrast against the dial. In your video, I heard you say the bracelet is NOT "Z" polished. However, in other videos of GS watches, the narrator implies the watch bracelets are also "Z" polished.
Here are my humble critiques about GS watches: 1) The beautiful "Z" polished case and bracelet are SCRATCH MAGNETS; 2) There are NO fine adjustments to the double trigger deployable clasp; 3) There are NO lume inserts on the indices; 4) I was DISAPPOINTED at the amount of microparticles on the dial face of your watch under magnification that I went to look at mine. Sadly, I have a few also. They are invisible to my unaided eye.
In short, I paid full retail price for my all my GS watches with ABSOLUTLEY NO REGRETS. IMHO, you get a lot of watch for your money. I am okay with paying the full retail price for a GS because I know the quality and level of hand craftsmanship is on par with watches costing 2-3 times its price.
I was going to buy this watch, but decided to go with the Snowflake. I still want it. That color is amazing. Another great review.
Not really a fan of the red dial, but am very impressed with Grand Seiko as a brand and thinking of adding one to the collection at some point. Also, I’ve been subscribed to and watching your channel for a while now and think you do a fantastic job on your very informative and thoughtful reviews. Keep up the great work!!

The music in all of these videos fits so well and the camera work, script and pros/cons.
On one hand I think the small imperfections are acceptable on a watch like this where everything is finished by hand, but the dust would annoy me and I'd have it sent into Grand Seiko here in London to have that removed.
I will be buying a Grand Seiko by year end I think just need to decide on which one.

It’s indeed a VERY nice watch.
At this moment there are 4 for sale at chrono24.
If you want to buy one i think you have to be quick before they’re gone.
I also changed the ss bracelet for another one.
I put on a handmade black real aligator leather strap.
It looks nicer than with the original bracelet
After seeing many of these GS's with the capped second hand I cannot look at other watches. It looks so much better!

GS dials are exquisite art on the wrist. The hands and indices are the best at any price point. The sharp angles and Zaratsu is unique to them. Personally, just this is enough value. I have a dozen. Dress watches, casual wear, and, sport watches. I take them turn to enjoy them. Thickness of 10.2mm Sunray to 16mm Jade dragon. Smallest from 37mm to biggest at 44mm. No problem wearing on my small 6.25mm wrist. l wear them on nice soft straps. The 3 dress watches already have very good strap. The dragon already comes in superb and rugged leather strap. Trying to get one more for the 44mm GMT.
Its dial Indeed looks dynamic. I guess the texture comes from Geneve stripes-like finishing then covers with layers of lacquer.
With the red alligator leather, this watch is more awesome looking than with the bracelet. I missed 2 chances to buy it 😩

You can usually buy a leather bracelet for an fairly inexpensive price. Usually I get the metal and buy the leather later.

Edit: FYI the case is not reserved for limited editions. For a while GS was selling this exact watch with either a black Iwate dial or a plain silver one (with blue second hands).
Trust G.Seiko to come up with nature's inspired dials. The snowflake, skyflake and now this.

This Grand Seiko is beautiful!! It is amazing to me that as a collector myself that this brand for the money and quality it isn't at the forefront of modern watchmaking. Again If this had a Rolex name on it it would cost 10 to 15 thousand on the gray market. Just speaking the truth.

you must have a very broad and flat wrist, i dont think the fit looks like a 6.5 inch (i love the fit!)

Why Gs can’t improve their accuracy...
-3-+5 is just for entry level watch
Tudor bb58 blue can do even -2-+4
Also in the dark , the dial is still hard to read ( I own other high beats Gs)
This is a sports watch mostly I think
And Gs really needs to put Lume on most of their models instead of just on dive watches
That’s why they still have a easy but big gap compared with Rolex
If they could do better marketing and design, Rolex really needs to worry because Gs surely has the potential

Because you prefer Rolex and don't want to lose thousands of dollars in value? This dial looks so cheap to me, well finished or not.
