That youtube short showing the blue snowflake on a white strap looked so beautiful.
Grand Seiko's big weakness is the bracelets, and the case shape. If only they would make the bracelets with micro adjustments, and the cases thinner and more like dress watch cases, they would be great.
Agree on clasps but case work is one of GS strong points. The angles on the case and curve on the lugs make them wear a lot thinner. Thin this thing down too much and you won't be able to incorporate any angles, so you'll just have a boring case design like a normal dress watch would. Also consider that this is a crossover between sport and dress, so it was never intended to be a pure dress watch- it's perfect for the one watch man in the same way a white date just would be.

I have the "Baby Grand Snowflake" (Presage SARX055) and I can't stop looking at it. I've had it for a week. It's incredibly beautiful. I can only imagine what a true Grand Seiko provides. I plan on buying a GS because of my love for the SARX055.

Fantastic review. Forget Rolex. Why have machine-made at more than double the cost of GS? Spring drive is arguably the best movement out there. And as for which is my fave of the two... I’m thinking of pulling the trigger and getting BOTH the sky- and snowflake!

Today I decided to drive my perfect 2018 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71 on a beautiful morning wearing my perfect watch my Longines Record white dial I love this watch it is perfect. Yesterday I had my Seiko SBDC055 such a perfect diver watch and tomorrow I will be wearing my Citizen eco drive the perfect Monday watch and Tuesday I will wear my Omega Speedmaster Sandwich, come to think of it I have the perfect watch collection and one of this days I will add this beautiful perfectly executed GS snowflake to my collection. Thank you for another perfect and beautiful video. Life is beautiful,close to perfect. P/S it takes me about 18 months to save for a new watch and I think it is just perfect.

First-time watcher. An outstanding video outlining the subtle and fine details of two beautiful GS watches. At the moment, I have three GS watches and will eventually add one of these snowflakes as my next GS watch. Hafiz, it's still a tough choice for me. However, after watching your video, I think I will lean towards the venerable white snowflake. Tanks.

Nice job. You really have a terrific eye for detail. Interesting look on the leather strap. I have the Snowflake, but see advantages of both, but despite the fact they are both water resistant to the same amount, psychologically I feel better with a screwed down crown.

Today I bought myself the SBGA407G 'Skyflake'.
Since I already have the SJE073J1 Presage Automatic Limited Edition, the difference in wrist feel and overall look, I went for the more 'different' looking watch.
Fantastic video! Thank you for this. I would love to see the snowflake on a leather strap to compare with the skyflake on leather. Maybe the snowflake could be more versatile with the bracelet, then add a strap for more formal occasions?

Skyflake on a fine mesh would be my choice, but due to the 19 mm lug size a nice mesh would be very hard to find.

By the way I think there is a perfect watch. I almost had one. I bought the 36mm Omega quart royal/electric blue (1538 movement). I should have bought the 41mm, but apart from that it was perfect. ... It was incredibly accurate to gaining only half-a-second a month. The second hand prefectly hit every second marker on the dial. I used to just watch it tick around mesmerised.
I think I would pick the skyflake over the snowflake.
Would need to see it in person to know for sure.
I prefer the Snow Flake tried one on it is so comfortable and light and looks amazing I prefer Grand Sieko over Rolex the build quality is stunning
I prefer Skyflake (blue Snowflake) as it has more texture. The real snow looks a bit blue in morning.
Now Grand Seiko need to release the Corn Flakes!

What would you choose between the snowflake and the Datejust 41? Both similar size, and similar features, except the power reserve.

Bro, problem with me is my hand is small. Just 6 inch. Thats make me sad when looking at others wearing beautiful watches. I like dive watch but the only can suit me is skx013.

Mr Hafiz, if you have budget for 1 watch which one will you go for and why? GS sky flake or 2020 Rolex OP 41mm tiffany blue? I love both!! How?
I’ll go OP41 for sure. GS are good but they’re still really only the dial and case finish. Bracelet and overall package falls behind. Rolex offer full watch - the case isn’t as refined as the GS, but overall it’s a more balanced watch as a full package.
Very strongly confused between a Skyflake and Cartier Santos.
The iconic nature of Santos is pulling me there. But then, the happiness of looking at a beauty of a Skyflake is unimaginable. Totally confused

I think it’s less likely because the GS elegance collection has always been on leather, which is where skyflake is from.
You can purchase the stainless steel bracelet for the skyflake

Lange are no match - they’re another class, and sadly very another price too.

This is GS comparison so I’m not sure why you’re comparing APS with GS. They’re not the same level.
@@HafizJMehmood I am a big fan of your channel. I watch all of your videos. I am aware that you have also reviewed AP and PP. The reason I brought it PP, AP and ALS up is because you mentioned " there is no watch is perfect ". In my humble opinion, even GS, PP, AP and VC are not perfect. In my eyes, ALS is perfect. Hope this clarifies.
Ah ok. Got it knowing the context now.
I personally don’t compare Lange with Ap or Patek. Lange are dress watches in precious metal, whereas AP and Patek are leaders of steel luxury watches and integrated watch concept. Now Odysseus has come in but it’s got a long way before it will be anything close to Royal Oak or Nautilus.
I love Lange myself but I personally don’t think there’s any comparison - they’re like different genre watches.
