To the people questioning: The protagonists are IRO-bots. The same thing that Coheed, Cambria, Jesse, Sizer, Chase.. (I know I'm missing one) are. Indirectly, it is about the music, the story behind the music.
I was an extra in this, and when i was there, it was in Victorville CA. It was really hot, but it was probably windy up on the hills at night. I was around when they were filming at the school.
Since I had no idea what this band sounded like, I automatically thought it was that chick 'singing' and they were part of her band. I saw this on tv a few nights ago. I was shocked, but it's a good song and I really like the video. So, I guess I'm not taken back by his voice so much anymore!
the point to this video is becoming human. perhaps a test of fitting in while still being yourself. claud says he wrote this one about how the media (and other people) were up in there business all the time. particularly, i'm guessing it's because of how josh n mic were fighting their battles n claud was really at a stand still with writing this album. much love, respect, n support for cnc. cnc4life!!
Coheed and Cambria is easily my absolute favourite band ever, and aside from the brilliance of the music, what makes them absolutely incredible is how Claudio seamlessly integrates the Amory Wars story into the music while still allowing for personal interpretation. In my opinion, if you are just listening to the music and not knowing at least some of the story, you are missing out because the story is immense and AMAZING. I have always felt out of all things C&C produces, they miss a huge opportunity to tell the Amory Wars story consistently through their videos, which I think would be a great way to tie it all together. This video is probably the closest to actually acting some part of the Amory Wars (Here We Are Juggernaut and loosely Domino the Destitute too) if we can interpret the three characters as KBI; Coheed, Cambria and Jesse, which I think makes a lot of sense if that is their intention (though not sure why the names in the vid are different). Despite the kinda poor acting, I really wish more of their videos were as story based, cause I think more fans should know about the meaning of the songs, and the incredible stories (and spin offs) that make up the Amory Wars.
+Burning Star V Eh, sort of, but not nearly as good as other videos. All you get is a few shots between the "evil" writer and Erica. The rest was showing off the band.

Wow, that is a thought inspiring video (I have watched it several times before and am a huge Coheed fan), it really speaks to how people view "others" which is what is wrong with the world right now.

@lobstershop remember that a lot of the songs from second stage were written as shabutie, which is what Coheed called themselves previous to implementing the concept. It could have originally been written without the concept in mind, then kind of bent and twisted into the the concept (follow?). I hear Thirty Three was originally about Patrick Ewing (perhaps a rumor). Interesting that the demo track on YotBR is titled Chamberlain.

@jaykuk i admit i am stretching a bit, the video is probably just a the concept of the Iro-bots (i always forget how to spell that properly) mixed into a world that doesn't understand them. it's a cool nod to those of us who read the book, and the comics. You're probably right about Dr. Sirius Amory being the next concept. after all the saga is called "The Amory Wars" but there is little clue as to why.
i thought it had the lyrics but just had the chorus =( but the video was really REALLY worth it =) if i aint know better i'd say to actually consider making this a movie cuz it would really be a success!

Jesse, Coheed and Cambria we're only this young for a short period due to their growth curve (if you've read the book) and the song world of lines is at least in part about Hohenberger deciding to fight back against Ryan, I believe. Speculation speculation speculation. Ive never figured it all out for myself.
By that logic the Juggernaut video is unrelated to the story too. That video and World of Lines look like they take place on our Earth in our universe. So it's like we're the parallel universe to Heaven's Fence. All Larentiah was asking is which characters in this video are analogous to the three main IRO-BOTs in the story. My reasoning was that Jesse was the calm one and Coheed was a little more impetuous, especially in YOTBR.
