The production value on this channels warrants over 1M subs
Quality content, absolutely worthy of 1M. He’d be great at an interviewer but that type of yt is far too over-saturated currently on RUclips!
Yes. Yes.
i love finding channels like this- high quality content with an actually engaging speaker, not many subs, no ads, good colors and mixing. thank you buddy!
Players have to agree to the deferrals. They aren’t forced. They agree because they want to play for the Dodgers.
Also, these deferrals aren't like "credit cards", as Brodie said. These contracts are in escrow accounts.
Because they're virtually guaranteed post season play, if they stay in LA.
@@Mario_Foxy It also permits a player to declare their primary residence in another state before the payments are made, allowing them to reduce taxes. As a Californian, I’d prefer to see tax money here but I understand the player perspective. Thus, there are benefits to both parties.
Deferred money still has to be deposited into an account, it just isn’t paid out right now. This way it can be invested prior to being paid out.
Yet somehow, this fact gets lost on nearly everyone. They aren't paying later, they have to still pay it now, it just sits in escrow collecting interest.
It's Guggenheim, they are buying into bitcoin/derivatives. This is the "finance hack" they brought to the Dodgers. hackwww.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/88525/000162828020016852/gft112020485afidoc.htm
@@dylanstyles8056also with a good accountant and financial planner you can save a lot on taxes as a player meanwhile the organization saves on the luxury tax imposed by the league
Love them or hate them you can’t deny the Dodgers organization has no problem spending money on players and fans ..Other teams and owners could learn a lot ..
They have the money to burn. Most MLB teams have to be more careful
@ They have money to burn because it takes money to make money ..
@@marklittle8805I know what you did there
@@marklittle8805 Most MLB teams get taxpayer handouts and money from the Dodgers and Yankees, Mets, et al and stick all that in their pocket.
Yeahhhh,on how to get FA preferential treatment ..
Never really thought about how they put these rooms under the field like that.
Those cables on the Dodger side look like post tension cables, meaning that when the concrete gets poured then the cables are pulled to provide tension into the concrete slab. The reason is so the concrete slab can be thinner than what would be required without the tension. What you are looking at is the sleeve, there is a cable inside that is pulled and it is not cemented to the concrete.
Post tension rods are pretty hard (and hard to bend). They don't look like wires. Also they are laid out in a mesh, not with 90 degree turns like what we see in this video.
Jimmy from Chicago….Love the information and pictures!….That Dodger organization is something else!…………😊😊😊….Thanks…Brodie…
i'm glad your so exited about this.
This was a cool video. 👍Thanks for the peek at what's happening
Love the videos, Brodie . Keep up the great work. Hang in there, the subscribers will grow.
While the rest of baseball is tanking the dodgers are taking it to a new level.
As a big dodger fan living in NO AZ., very grateful for these updates
Great video as usual, Sir! Keep up the great work..I really enjoy your channel!!
4:13 I think this is for drainage. A stadium acts as a sink relative to rainfall and that water has to drain to somewhere, all the more with addition of subterranean spaces nearby. Either the drains needs to lead to a place outside of the stadium that is lower or be removed via pump system.
Conspiracy theory, they are building a small bullpen back there for Shohei to use when he pitches 😅
Any underground structure needs to have French drains near the walls to pull away groundwater, or the hydraulic pressure of the water in the ground will eventually force water to come through the walls and floor, compromising their structural integrity.
They’re building an underground bio-laboratory where they will be growing Ohtani clones
@@kermit1OMG 🤯
4:20 could be trenches for plumbing and electrical runs. the man hole could just be a maintenance access port. those boxes you pointed out are light fixture boxes. could also be electrical boxes going to locker spaces.
Building more trophy cases💙LFG!
@0:15 It's no coincidence that Chelsea F.C. is doing the same thing - writing contracts in such a way that they are amortized over many years more than a standard footballing contract. Chelsea F.C. is, of course, co-owned by Tod Boehly who also is a partner in the Dodgers ownership.
Of course this is more or less the same technique that Mr. Illitch used when he was chasing a World Series win in his sunset years... and look what the Tigers have been doing since.
Love my Dodger Blue!
they should have catered a little more to the fans by improving the seating to something more comfortable
Those wires and cables are for creating a magnetic field to manipulate the batted balls flight path. The Dodgers want to be able to direct the balls flight to where they want to go.
shh!
Great, now everyone knows, Mike.
It’s good for me hahaha let’s go Dodgers!!!
Los Angeles is on fire
2:33 You just drew a hot dog!
hahah, could have been worse!
They'll get it done.
The concrete box behind home plate looks like it’s sand / oil separator. The green pipes that were in a previous video is SDR 35 which is the most commonly used sewer pipe these days. If I had to take a guess, there is a sewage ejection pump system down inside the hole you mentioned about possibly being a manhole. Obviously, I’m just guessing on this just like you are.
March 27th is Opening day for the Dodgers
The Dodgers are doing their annual Fan Fest event on February 1. Originally it was reported they would have to move it to a different location due to the construction (the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum - the Dodgers' first L.A. home - was rumored), but now it will be at Dodger Stadium after all, so the field should be level again by February 1st.
Nope. FanFest is being held in parking lots
4:00 There are dugout level seats between the players’ dugouts. Many stadiums have them.
The cables are probably conduit for electric wires, internet lines, communication, etc. Trench behind dugout looks like a underground walkway? I feel sorry for the groundskeeper and crew, they're gonna be real busy trying to get the grass and field prepped for opening day! Takes time for grass to grow, but maybe they'll end up laying down sod.
Concretes poured already on 3rd base side
Would love to see them build a entrance/exit tunnel to help out with getting in and out of the park
My guess for all the cabling is that fans that sit in the seats directly above the dugout will be connections to order food etc. directly from the seats there but maybe not since technology allows that to be done wirelessly.
Part 2 of overview consisting of more “What is this?” and “I don’t know what I’m looking at.” Great insight. “You have to imagine that they dug out a lot of dirt.” Yeah, you can imagine that because you can see the big holes and the big pile of dirt. Huh boy.
or how about the dodgers share... any... information... about... this...?
When the Toronto Blue Jays did their $300 million renovated of Skydome it was a minimum 2 off-season plan. They shared what they were doing with the public before hand. But being it's a domed stadium they could have not said anything and nobody would've have been none the wiser.
They just making it better for the players and fans withrise in ticket prices.
See if you can get a tour when it's done
We need Blippi out there on the site to investigate!
They need to paint the seats to Dodger blue enough of those faded yellow colors i know that it supposed to be the color of the beach but most people don’t know that so it looks like old faded painted seats to them.Paint them to Dodger blue colors the stadium will pop out beautifully.
looks great. Dodgers is the most state of the art and classic stadium out there!
Wrigley Field would beg to differ.
Meh @@billmcg1676
I find it interesting they have over 5 portable lighting rigs when they can light it up to make it Look like daylight using the stadium lights.
Probably something to do with safety concerns. Dodgers don't cut corners
My company pours the concrete there those tunnels are to go from field level to new underground clubhouses.
That's where Leslie Nelson shut down that guy 😲
The Dodgers just renovated Dodger stadium a few years back.
Those renovations were for the fans. These new ones are for the players, new clubhouse and batting cages for the dodgers and away teams.
@ The clubhouse, fitness rooms batting cages etc were renovated too
LOOK LIKE 3 LEVELS WITH ALL THAT DIRT
Hey,the players wanted deferred compensation! It’s in every bargaining agreement ever! It’s great for their future before free agency. Now avg salary is a mill+
Final day of Walnut Creek ice outdoor ice rink. So sad :(
Players need a clubhouse ... fans need seats. Dodger stadium is really in need of new seats. I've sat on all levels and the Pavillion over the last couple seasons and all those seats have seen better days. My world series seat reserve level was hanging by one hinge.
Those "cables" are rebar (concrete-reinforcing bars).
Smart by the Dodgers... Why bother taking down the World Series logo... They would just have to put it back up when they go back to the World Series again this year...
My guess is going to be some interactive area for fans. Dodgers memorabilia. Batting cages for fans.
Baseball stadium construction, repair, and renovation costs are deductible against revenue sharing.
Which means none of this money will go to John Fisher.
I am sure you approve of that Brodie :)
Keep up the great work on the channel. GO KINGS GO!!
Behind home plate could be luxury boxes
True. Or, the machinery for Charlie Finley’s Coliseum Rabbit ….. if any team was going to bring that contraption back, it would be the Dodgers!
Maybe another bullpen down there, so that Shohei could warm up before coming out to pitch in the 9th inning of the World Series. OR under ground tunnel leadIng up to the bullpen, just for Shohei.
That’s a lot to get done by opening day.
Let go dodgers!👏👏👏👏👏💙💙💙💙💙
IS A HALL WAY FROM ONE CLUB HOUSE TO DA OTHER
Riot bunkers and a full bar on both sides
We ALLLLLLL would love to have owners like the Dodgers do. That’s 100% the truth. The rest of us scrubs get pissed and are envious and call it unfair. Is it a little? Yea probably. The CBT money you get as a small market team SHOULDNT be going in your pockets. That should be used to supplement your own payroll. You don’t take the $50 mill, or whatever it is and go buy yachts and build Wrigleyville first before spending on free agency. It’s bullshit to be quite honest.
Getting ready for the 2028 Olympics!
Round the clock work wouldn't suprise me.
Those are loops for radiant floor heating
The left field 🌋 volcano is a great addition.
What are they trying to be Vegas. YUCK.
The trench behind home plate is the dugout club restaurant
It’s a fire-proof bomb shelter to store Shohei in between ABs
WILL THIS BE FINISHED ON TIME? (probably)

It doesn't have to be finished on time. It needs to have the outer shell complete so that it can be backfilled and the grass/dirt field surface restored to playable condition. The finishing work inside could take another two years, so long as it isn't getting in the way of games being played, and it wouldn't matter.
@@montyharder3663 they've got to rebuild the first few rows of seats and lots more. I agree... interior details can be finished after the fact, but still a lot of foundational work to be done
was wondering if the space dug behind the Homeplate was for fan seating like angels stadium but looks quiet small for that , so it may be a staff access
Meanwhile, in the Pacific Palisades, nothing will be rebuilt for years.
I kinda hope the clubhouse doesn’t look too different. I got used to seeing it in their interviews and I like the aesthetic.
It’s probably gonna look way more modern. They’re not gonna do all that digging unless it’s state of the art. The new clubhouses around the league look elite. The one just removed was 15 years obsolete and too small. They had to bring in old lockers when they called players up.
@@Ktaurus26 I guess you’re right… I am curious to see how it looks.
With inflation, this is the smart thing to do. By the time it's time to pay It won't seem so bad
Is the sewage line below the third base line that overflowed during a game going to be fixed?
Brodie all that is for the baseline box club and behind home plate was the expensive box and restaurant Buffett.
All of this is restaurants for higher priced tickets
alot of it will be under fair territory? dude i wanna see what theyre building
Your updates are like 2 weeks behind, this footage is old at this point.
Please fix the outfield wall.. Sincerely Arron Judge.
I'm not in construction. No shit.
The Trench? April 15, 1983 I sat where the trench is for Steve Garvey's return to Dodger Stadium as a Padres. We were right next to the dugout. At the time they were called, "Dugout Seats" and were sunken with the roof about mid-body high on the field.
All the local stars looking for free air time came down there as well. Great Seats. Saw Fernando from the hips down in the batter's box we were so close. Heard the conversations in the dugout. Best seats in the house. I hope they are putting them back in for fans.
Also, Deferred is less like a Credit Card and more like a Pension Policy since they have to put so much away regularly to cover the funds expected at the time of withdrawal. By those days they may have moved out of the country and likely the state so it will only be Fed Taxed, if at all.
You still gotta stay relatively healthy and win it on the field….
SO IVE BEEN DOWN THERE THEY ONLY HAD ONE FLOOR NOW FROM DA LOOKS IT 2-3 LEVELS
I enjoy your videos Brodie, but that's not how deferred contracts work, like a "credit card." The team deferring money must show they have the funds available in the future to pay these contracts, for the Dodgers that would be the massive capital available from the Guggenheim ownership group.
That’s all data cabling it will, and then after that they will do power because what will end up happening from what I can tell is the power will be laid in with conduit and then they’ll do a concrete pour on top of it
And not one cent from public money …Go figure
that part I give them all the credit for
From what I have heard, the money from the WS merch is paying for this construction. Guess I will have to take another stadium tour just to see what the changes are.
Why is it that all the teams in Los Angeles pay for their own facilities?
Because all our team owners have the finances to pay for them. Technically the L.A. Memorial Coliseum and Rose Bowl are publicly-owned, but since they were both built around a century ago, they've already paid themselves off.
Rumor has it that the players need that area to store the $$$ that the Dodgers are paying them ( how they are going to find the money to pay for all of this?, oh yeah!!!, raise ticket prices!!! )
Two clubhouses cost $100m total? Seems pricey.
Dude, learn some finance.
The deferred present day value of player salaries has to be in an escrow account AT LATEST the 2nd July after it has been earned so, for example, money earned in June of 2024, has to be in place by August 2025. The escrow account earns a compounding 5% interest, creating the future payout for the player. That's how Ohtani's $48M/year ends up being $70M. It's more like a savings/retirement account for the player that allows them to spread the tax burden out over more years, NOT a credit card for the team. The team DOES benefit by ultimately paying the player with principal + interest. The escrow account can't be touched by the owners, and continues with any new ownership group (so it doesn't saddle new ownership with the bill as some have suggested), and can't be touched by the players until the agreed upon payout date.
For all of these reasons, EVERY team can (and should) be doing it. Other teams might not be able to do it to the same extent, but its use is beneficial to both ownership and players. It's ALL in the agreed upon CBA (page 89).
you should start a RUclips channel!
@@brodiebrazil😂
Is it just me, or does it look like this renovations are going to be interfering with the field of play? 0:59 Like, if those are stands, they’re going to be right on top of 1st and 3rd base…. Am I missing something????
its below field level
@ I was gonna say…. From those camera angles, it looks like they’re right at, if not, above field level. Am I wrong?
Chavez Ravine escaped the fires?
It's well away from the fire-prone areas. It is surrounded by a city park (Elysian Park) with lots of hillsides but unlike the hillside areas that caught fire, it's fully accessible by fire trucks (the LA Fire Department training academy is also next door to the stadium). In fact, there was a small fire in the park on January 8 but it was knocked down in minutes.
It’s like saying Sofi survived it too 😂
It’s all about money the man wouldn’t let the stadium burn down anyways it brings all sorts of revenue to the city of Los Angeles 😂
Lil over 2 months to go.. I dunnoooo
Good for the Dodgers. Paying players on lay-away er deferred payments. I hear they'll be naming the WS trophy the Dodgers Championship Trophy. 🙄🙄 MLB soon to become DLB. But it's baseball and there are always the underdogs.
Many of those workers had their homes burnt to the ground, so how can the club get the work finished?
money
Dude, you should know better. This is in no way like “putting contracts on a credit card.” The CBA requires contemporaneous payment of real money into escrow accounts.
Disappointing coming from you.
Dude, can you remove that old fashioned rack gear out of the frame? It looks a little silly and it’s about to give me an epileptic seizure. But, if you really love that Shanghai Skyline light show vibe, I have plenty of vintage gear with lots of little LED illuminates I can sell you! lol
Why is your beer going to cost $25? This is why!
Hopefully they keep allowing us to bring in our own sandwiches and tequila/squirt bottles.
Las Vegas built a brand new stadium and no complain about was done. The stadium has to keep up to code since it is a older stadium
Cry dorky I mean Brodie cry 😢 small market press media always complain so much. You don’t have to work in small markets.
weird opinion
it's not gonna finish in time 😬
why give opponnents a nice cluhouse.
Because all opponents have potential free agents.
@@sub04aru Well if they play for Dodgers they won't be using visiting clubhouse if they sign with them.i doubt that's the reason they'd sign would be that.it's the boatload of money. The visitors are the enemy. They're not supposed to have home field advantage.
@ lol right but I mean that the players will see the facilities and see how they operate. How they invest. It’s one reason why players now want to play there. They hear and see what the organization is doing and how they are investing back into the team.
LOL. All the equipment you have is completely unnecessary. But hey, it makes you look fancy...
