Just curious I’m from Georgia and huge falcons fan. May be a crazy question but I heard few peoples died and got injured through the process. Just curious if any of this is true.
@ I think an electrician died on the job. This was the first Staduim that we’ve built in Atlanta where no Iron Worker died so I’m proud of that 👌🏾. Now to be as honest ass possible death is common on these major construction projects, sometimes it makes the news, other times it doesn’t.

No mention of the fact that the stadium missed the actual first game which was supposed to be an Atlanta United soccer match, and that the roof wasn't operating for the first 3 or 4 football games, and was mostly unused the entire first Falcons season in the building. I find it funny that the video does not mention that the opening was delayed 6 months. There were major issues with the structure being built. I believe still to this day the roof has problems opening and closing. The guys installing the seating probably had to work nights because they were so far behind on the roof. The company I work for was brought on to the project to help resolve their issues.

I've been here easily 50+ times. I love this place. I remember it being built. But this puts a new perspective on it. But it's not the Falcons stadium. It's Atlanta Uniteds stadium. Nine American football games are played here but over 20 soccer games are played here. More than double the fans come to see soccer here than American football.
I lived right next to the stadium and watched as it slowly was built. Literally can see it outside my windows. Pretty cool seeing it slowly get built up, also cool watching the demolition of the old stadium. Got a video of of the controlled explosion on my phone somewhere.
Crazy I found the blueprint for this arena in a building in Virginia. The office building was getting a full Reno and the architect left the blueprint in the meeting room

These structures are amazing feats of engineering. The only thing that would give me pause is a "domino failure" where one structural element gives way and everything else follows. It would be interesting to know what the snow load allowance is and what wind loading was used for design. Nicely done video.
I live in Atlanta, while they were working on this the construction guys called it, because of the way the roof opens along with they way the stadium looks, they nicknamed it "Megatron's Butthole", no lie.

I wonder why there is no coverage of the LA Stadium. So Fi in Inglewood. Many innovative features; on being the roof that is supported by cables. The cables also support the Oculass(scoreboard)which weigjs 100 tons by itself.
It also has wonderful food vendors, and it was promised not to over price the food. I have to say the food is great, and the prices are totally family friendly.

I'd say Cowboys Stadium could arguably take the #3 spot, then US Bank. Of course US Bank is newer and better in some ways. But AT&T Stadium can hold 100,000 people (as can SoFi).
Beautiful stadium, however, in America, “many, many years” translates to around 20-30 before the owners start complaining how “outdated” this one is and why they “need” a new one. The Georgia dome before it only lasted 25 years. Guess we’ll wait and see. 🤷🏾♂️

This retractable dome will end up being a costly mistake. Atlanta is too HOT in the summertime and is often too COLD in the wintertime. Fans and players alike EXPECT to be COMFORTABLE year round. My prediction is that this dome will be CLOSED most of the time‼️

The stadium broke ground on May 19, 2014 and opened in 2017. This video should post sometimes in 2016 or 2017. It is about 8 years too late.
