TERRIFIC video! As native Angeleno and lifelong Dodger fan, one of my earliest memories is being at Dodger Stadium with my mom and dad, back in 1964, when I was five years old and wearing my first LA ballcap. Fast forward 60 years -- 60 years? DAMN! -- and I'm watching our Blue Crew manhandle the Padres, Mets and Yankees enroute to their eighth World Series championship. So many wonderful memories at Dodger Stadium; to me, it's THE most beautiful park in all of Major League Baseball.
It is, just like old Yankee Stadium was, but LA has kept the stadium up over the years very well but unfortunately the original Yankee Stadium wasn't and is gone ! I think that despite it's age and simple design, Dodger Stadium is one of the nicest older stadiums out there !!
I remember when 300 mil would build you a whole new stadium 20-25 years ago. Now it gets you a renovation. Boy do I feel old! I feel like my Grandmother telling me when she used to get a candy bar for 5 cents lol
In the construction world, building from the ground up could sometimes be cheaper because you're not restricted to existing structures in a renovation. So renovation doesn't always necessarily mean it's cheaper. But that's assuming comparison in the same year. 300 million would definitely go further if it was spent 20 years ago.
I have been to Dodger Stadium at least 100 times over the years. I remember $7 bleacher seats and getting in and out of the parking lot in no time. Now it's priced out many fans and the parking lot is a disaster to get into and out of. I love my team but I am afraid going to a game these days just are not in my budget anymore. Good for them though as they still draw 4 million fans a year, most of any team in baseball so they are not missing me that's for sure.
Bleed Blue fan here, I remember the Bleachers and Crows Nest were GA Open seating. My dad used to pay 1.50 for an adult ticket and .75 for child's... So many happy memories...
@@lawrencemora2826Then we're about the same age. I sat in the Pavillion seats for 75 cents too when I was a kiddo in the late 60s. I'll always remember those frozen chocolate Carnation malts, and the flat wooden sticks you used to eat them with. 😅
Out of the older ball parks,I’d say Wrigley field then Dodgers stadium number 2. That said from the new and latest wave of ball parks,I am partial to The Giants ball park(name escapes me),Petco park, the pirates ball park, and citified. In that order. LGM💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡.
I always park in lot H which is due north or center field/left field. Easy to walk to, cross the one street and get to your car if you are able to park early (about 5:00-5:30pm for a 7:00 pm start to see batting practice) and get parking within the first 2-3 south rows. From there, head north through the Academy gate to access the 5 Fwy north or 110 Pasadena Fwy north for San Fernando Valley or Foothills, or take side surface streets (a hidden back door route my dad taught me) to get to Broadway north of Chinatown and easy access to the 5 Fwy or 110 Harbor fwy heading south if you’re heading to South Bay, South LA, Or swing eastward towards San Gabriel Valley or Orange County where I’m from. The hardest exit is heading out the Sunset Blvd exit which opens up to the Silverlake District which is vibrant but gets overwhelmed with traffic tying to get to the 101 Fwy heading Northwest or the 10 Fwy heading due west to West LA / Santa Monica and the very popular Westside and beach cities. Lots of stop and go this way due to lots of residential and smaller older streets, but that’s this part of LA. Since using this method, once I exit the stadium and reach my vehicle, I’m out the parking gate within 10 minutes or less, and to the freeway in another 10-15 minutes tops. Then it’s a half hour to my house in North Orange County some 22 miles from freeway on-ramp. To me, it’s all part of urban LA living, and since I’ve lived here 90% of my life, I’m very used to it, and getting around LA and Orange County. I just remain patient, happy that my Dodgers take care of us fans, and high five other fans when we win (Often), and commiserate when we lose (not as often). In 2024, Dodgers home record was 52-29 or .641, second only to the PHI at 54-27, and ahead of CLE at 50-30, those were the only clubs above 50 home wins.
Wait can they add a small rail system like the Getty for people who walk to the stadium via the Stadium Express bus route? Or even like Angel's flight? Add like two or three double tracked rail lines at the edges of the parking lot?
I'd like to know why the Dodgers made the 3rd base side their home Dugout/clubhouse. Wasn't the first base side traditionally the home team side of the field?
Cry more why don’t you 😂 they put their money everywhere throughout their organization to improve it every where. They don’t pocket the money they don’t spend the money on bad contracts. masterclass organization they are. Anger is close cousin of envy, envy is jealously.
I’m a dodger fan ….. however I hate dodger stadium…. We need a new stadium in a convenient location. I travel to see the dodgers…. Go to some of these newer stadiums and you may feel the same..Go Blue.
Dodgers fans are so spoiled. Gorgeous stadium, top 5 uniform, incredible team (with current and historical success and Hall of Famers)... Plus, living in LA ain't half bad either. I hate them lol. Respectfully, a hatin' ass Braves fan in Atlanta.
Every time they "upgrade" the food its still the same awful mediocre stadium food. Petco beats it hands down. No amount of upgrades can save you from the absolutely miserable experience of 1pm Sunday game in the middle of August on the 1st base side. Worst fan experience ever. Also, let tailgating happen again! I would LOVE to have LA culture cuisine in the parking lot which honestly is such an important part of the game and would make the traffic situation bearable
My buddy is is a Padres sucker, I have gone with him several times. We both agree that only a fool pay who hates their money pays for food at the park, you can bring in your for a lot less! lol
From above the field shape looks really wierd along the foul lines closer to the outfield wall. Really dorky looking. Hopefully they have enough sense to improve that ugly flared out design design.
Love the Dodgers and some of the upgrades are nice, but the stadium is an awful shit hole. They need to tear it down and build a true modern stadium, like SoFi. Or, better yet, move it to a better location that is earlier for parking and exiting to local freeways.
@ the place is a dump. The parking/added time to get out of there and to a freeway is a major problem. The bathrooms, even after the upgrades are disgusting. No corporate boxes, the seats are horrible and some of the smallest. The location is disaster. You can put makeup on a pig, it’s still a pig. Build it somewhere and bring some of nostalgia to the new location.
I love the Dodgers but I refuse to visit this stadium for what they did to my Mexican brothas and sistas. Even though it was a long time ago, the memories of my people being robbed of their land to build Central Park is the same. I ride for my so called Black and Latino people.💪🏾
Dodger Stadium is absolutely beautiful. The Dodgers owners have done a great job of upgrading the stadium pretty much every year. Were winning on the field, off the field, and making haters cry along the way lol.
There's just something magical about Dodger stadium. You have to be there to feel it. Chavez Ravine is a must visit for any baseball fan!
Can’t believe some people think Angel stadium is better than Blue Heaven on Earth
The Chavez Latrine is nowhere near as nice as Angel stadium.
@ angel stadium has as much significance in the history of baseball as my left nut, Dodger stadium matters.
Ghetto old ass Stadium just junk
Nah. Petco Park is better than both.
Angel Stadium is a dump

Agree 💯!
Shh old fart
Dodger Stadium is the Taj Mahal of baseball parks and I'm a Diamondback fan.

Even a Dback fan can admit Chase Field is garbage🙄
The Ginats and Padres have better stadiums honestly
@ Can't disagree! The Padres stadium to me is the best in baseball !!
I remember when 300 mil would build you a whole new stadium 20-25 years ago. Now it gets you a renovation. Boy do I feel old! I feel like my Grandmother telling me when she used to get a candy bar for 5 cents lol
most of those stadiums have been torn down and replaced

Before going to heavan I want to see the Dodgers 💙 in blue heaven.
I will never not love looking at this beautiful stadium. Boy it feels good to be a Dodger fan
My favorite addition is the brand spanking new 2024 world series trophy 🏆 #GoBlue
I just want some damn cover for Sunday games in the summer 🥵
angel fan here, took my wife n kids to a game last year.. we will not be returning again, we were having too much fun.
hope part of the make over is bringing the OG DODGERS DOGS BACK!!! NOTHING LIKE THEM!!!

And drive up to the top and park near the entrance.

That looks like a pretty nice stadium !!
Try a human writer/editor. The content repeated
Amen! Humans are the way to go. Skynet hasn't happened yet, so trust the human touch!
I just hope next time they do something, please make it easy and faster to park so it wont take us so long😂
It feels like an airport
It's a stadium...
@ it’s a simile

Too many humans, too much traffic
Still the worst stadium to get in and out. It’s an hour just to get out of the parking lot.

Park on Broadway and walk up Bishops Road. Me and dad used to do back in the 70s, great memories, great talks...

The Sun...
Nah they'll spend all the money to get every single elite player and win the world series every year.
Cry more why don’t you 😂 they put their money everywhere throughout their organization to improve it every where. They don’t pocket the money they don’t spend the money on bad contracts. masterclass organization they are. Anger is close cousin of envy, envy is jealously.
Such a beautiful time to be alive 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
They already spent the $300m on the stadium.
Your just mad because the owner of your team doesn’t do the same.😂😂😂
WAHHH WAHH😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m a dodger fan ….. however I hate dodger stadium…. We need a new stadium in a convenient location. I travel to see the dodgers…. Go to some of these newer stadiums and you may feel the same..Go Blue.
I wish they'd rebuild Ebbets Field.. 😭
If the stadium was turned 180 degrees so the pavilion was in the direction of the LA skyline, it would undoubtedly be the best in the country.
also the sun would be in the batters eyes for the first 4 innings during night games
@LETS_GO_DODGERS actually that's not accurate because the open end of the stadium would be facing the southeast.
it still sucks to get in and out of, i'm sure there's worse, but ingress / egress out of dodgers stadium is some of the worst in the country.
“Sha-vez” Ravine? that’s a latino name. try saying it with your chest! “Cha-vez” like the dance. “Cha-Cha!”
At least he’s trying to not forget the original location. Just hope management start acknowledging Chavez and its people more often
"Shove-ezz" Ravine? haha

why would us fans care if they upgrade the player clubhouses? that does nothing for us.
From above the field shape looks really wierd along the foul lines closer to the outfield wall. Really dorky looking. Hopefully they have enough sense to improve that ugly flared out design design.
Best baseball stadium in the world Fenway Park period.
Shit hole!
Love the Dodgers and some of the upgrades are nice, but the stadium is an awful shit hole. They need to tear it down and build a true modern stadium, like SoFi. Or, better yet, move it to a better location that is earlier for parking and exiting to local freeways.
Besides the parking issues, no way dude. Give them time. Everything will get some upgrades.

GTFOH! Leave my city now! Blasphemy! You will never understand the meaning of being a life long Dodger fan! Dodger Stadium is the Dodgers!
ドジャースへ、ドジャースへと草木も靡く❗🤪😜😝
何年で改装費を回収する計算ですか?
it'll still smell like piss 😂
Love it just sad a about all the new fake fans we have now
LETS GO📣Dodgers👏👏👏👏👏 LETS GO📣Dodgers👏👏👏👏👏 LETS GO📣Dodgers👏👏👏👏👏 LETS GO📣Dodgers👏👏👏👏👏

do ride on the freeways that were built on land that was acquired the same way.
Dodger fans aka: Husky Mexico fans with Wide Backs, flannels, & chicken legs 😂 Always having diarrhea from micheladas 😫
Go to Dodger stadium & say that to their face, keyboard warrior
dodgers suck
Poodres suck
2024 🏆 💙
😂😂😂 modern 😂😂😂. That place is garbage.
That's where the Dodgers took out the trash. Padres, Mets and Yankees...
So is your organization that pockets it money and rather than improving the their team.
Dodger Stadium is absolutely beautiful. The Dodgers owners have done a great job of upgrading the stadium pretty much every year. Were winning on the field, off the field, and making haters cry along the way lol.
U talking about ur house?
@DC-op8fs it's a dump in the middle of filthy dirty downtown la smog soot graffiti disgusting
LA's hexagon displays are the worst displays.. make them freaking ultra wide.. wtf is a hexagon display.
Petco Park is still the best.
