can't wait until the new stadium is done and the A's are in town. Vegas is quickly becoming a real competitor to be the entertainment capital of the world.
Fix your homeless and drug problem. Vegas, outside of the tourism of the casinos, is an absolute dump. Trash, homeless, drugs, and hookers all over the place. I’ve been in Vegas working as a contractor for the CenterWell clinics. Most of the sites I go to are in very ghetto areas.
Using public funding on projects like this is BS. Just helps make rich people richer. That's why I've had a strong opposition to ever getting an MLB team in Portland, Oregon, or any other professional sport. They may work in Washington, but they have more than twice as many people as Oregon. But our government Is extremely poor at allocating tax income
Why should the public be responsible for helping building any stadium? We aren't giving free tickets or get any sort of benefit. Instead, after it's done, they charge people out the ass for parking, tickets food etc and pay their players millions and millions of dollars. It's a joke.
@ The poll was by KLAS asked the question if you think public funds should be used to fund the stadium and 52% said no 32% said yes and 16% said they were undecided ..It’s extremely relevant especially since it was passed without any public input and had to be because the A’s knew they didn’t have the votes without bribing the legislature
@@BoulderCityBlues The poll is from Emerson College / KLAS. The specific question was "Would you support or oppose allocating taxpayer money in the budget for new sports stadiums?" Idk why the A’s just don’t stay in California, I always knew they were gonna leave Oakland, but why leave the state? I wish they would just build a new ballpark in Sacramento or somewhere else
@@BeeBee-pl9ly that doesn’t change anything, teams like the chargers and rams didn’t come until 2015, the the A’s have been in Oakland side 1968, and plus, Vegas only cares about teams that are good just look at how the raiders fan base is compared to the golden knights
yet you cared enough to comment......also please google "world baseball classic" and while you're at it also google "Nippon professional baseball, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani, and Roki Sasaki" and then grab a fork from you're basement kitchen and eat those words dude.
If this is built which I doubt I don’t see the As fan base exactly growing, yeah they’ll get tourist butts in the seats which is all Fisher cares about but the bulk of Las Vegas baseball fans I know have already been Dodgers or DBacks fans with a couple Padres fans mixed into for years now, they’re not just going to abandon their established loyalties.
MLB attendance is dying. Nobody under 60 cares about baseball anymore. This stadium will be lucky to sell half of the 29,000 seats a game. Go check how the Florida Marlins attendance is doing in their brand new stadium. The Marlins averaged 13,440 people a game in a brand new stadium that seats 37,442. Miami is a huge city...Las Vegas is 1/3 the size of Miami Metro. This new A's stadium is going to bankrupt the poorest owner in MLB. No public funding should be given for any pro sports team. The A's will only build parking for 2500 vehicles as well, further dooming their attendance figures and sometimes pushing cars to park at the casinos, then the casinos will have to jack up their parking fees for everyone else. The A's need to sell their team to someone who can afford this dying sport. Las Vegas seems to like the NFL and the NBA. Nobody in Vegas really wants a MLB team. The A's need to go vulture and circle another dumb city.
A baseball stadium is actually a better deal than a football stadium in most markets because it can be used not only for baseball but other events that require a covered venue but a much larger seating capacity than an arena. Thing is, Vegas already has a covered football stadium, Allegiant Stadium, so it’s hard to say just how many more events a Vegas baseball stadium can host.
I wish Oakland politicians could have got their stuff together, but unfortunately aren't able to walk and chew gum. I am excited to see the new stadium.
I live in Las Vegas, Its terrible spot to build it. Worse than the Allegiant (Raiders) stadium! Parking will suck, don't get me started on traffic 👎🏼👎🏼
From 2010-2022 8.5 left and 6.3 mil moved in. There are 39 mil people in California. Nobody is noticing all these "droves" of people. Houses are still selling quickly
Baseball and stadium will be making the city even more monies. What do they care about helping the poor? You heard the saying 'it takes money to make money"?
As a TRUE LIFELONG OAKLAND A'S FAN this whole situation legit makes me want to throw up. Ripping this team out of it's community because of one greedy POS is flat out WRONG. It really does feel like a death in the family. Vegas could've had a bonfide expansion team and the Warriors Owner Joe Lacob would've purchased the team and built the stadium in Oakland. Fisher wouldn't allow that and the A's deserting their TRUE fans is nothing less than extremely devastating to this community. Some people might not care for their own selfish reasons but karma is a MF, you better have a real understanding of what has happened here in Oakland.
I blame MLB & the Giants NOT returning “rights” to San Jose after the Haas family allowed them to have them in an attempt to stay in the area. Giants & MLB didn’t do right in that. Ironic in that Lacob moved the Warriors across the bay to San Francisco despite success in Oakland. Grew up an A’s & Raider’s fan, but am realistic. Oakland is a HORRIBLE place to go for a game. Not worth taking your life in your hand just for sports. Sacramento MIGHT actually be the best long term fit & not too far from all the fans in Alameda County. Sorry but it is truth. Watching to see. Plans are great in Vegas, but 35k should be minimum seating. Watching like everyone else what will happen!
NFL, NBA left. And you blame the A's owner? Oakland is dangerous. Nobody crossed the bridge from SF to watch games and Oakland fans became non-existent in Oakland.
Every team owner has more than enough money to pay for the crap they want, Stan Kronke paid $5bn+ for his stadium in Los Angeles, way more expensive than Vegas, wtf should the public pay for the stadium, then pay for season tickets? Billionaires are Billionaires though
Although the Raiders moved to LV doesnt mean its been a success. Raiders lost home fields advantage. What the NFL and MLB need to do is make LV game/series of the week. Every Sunday night two new teams would play at Allegiant Stadium. Keep LV a neutral city. No one will travel for BB unless it was Series of the Week. Two new teams play Friday Sat and Sunday. Otherwise fans wont travel and support the stadiums like it needs to be. The ROI on the A's stadium will not be profitable as 80-ish home games playing the same teams throughout the year. So that means people will travel to LV once to see their team plan in LV. One game out of three. Weekday games will be empty. LV is a weekend place not a Monday --Friday place. LV is going to collapse in on itself. It cant sustain financially it self as it keeps looking 'outside' of it self to find reasons for people to come to LV. F1 has shut down LV from Sept to Xmas. AWS is looking to move their convention away from LV since LV cant provide quick access to 'break-out' sessions as movement has become a hassle.
Public funding is never going away. Oakland and Alameda county were too cheap to get out of the multi purpose stadiums hiping Raideds ans A's didnt have better options...untill they did. And for those who think it was ok. Has life gotten any better in Oakland? Think about it
So if it uses public funds, the public (taxpayers) will benefit from the A's (MLB) moving to the area. I get pretty tired of hearing the bellyaching from whiners who know nothing about how money is generated by cities and states.

But Millions of Dollars go to Illegals,,,
The City council wanted to spend money on the stadium
The name Oakland was mentioned and written millions of times a year on TV, social media, websites, radio, due to the A's and Raiders you'll never hear the name Oakland in a few years...
No tax payer money should ever go to a stadium that includes corporate welfare aka tax breaks or subsidies
can't wait until the new stadium is done and the A's are in town. Vegas is quickly becoming a real competitor to be the entertainment capital of the world.
@@SpencerCornelia be careful what you wish for, you’re dealing with John Fisher
@@stewgotz1John Fisher might not make it Sacramento or Las Vegas if he fucks them up.
You mixed up Las Vegas boulevard and Tropicana streets in your graphic. LV boulevard runs north south 4:59
Seems like a lot of incorrect information in this video.
Such as?
Using public funding on projects like this is BS. Just helps make rich people richer. That's why I've had a strong opposition to ever getting an MLB team in Portland, Oregon, or any other professional sport. They may work in Washington, but they have more than twice as many people as Oregon. But our government Is extremely poor at allocating tax income
I’m pretty sure engineers don’t like architects
Why should the public be responsible for helping building any stadium? We aren't giving free tickets or get any sort of benefit.
Instead, after it's done, they charge people out the ass for parking, tickets food etc and pay their players millions and millions of dollars. It's a joke.
4:52 Tropicana runs east/west, and Las Vegas Boulevard, at this location, runs north/south. You need to switch the road labels!
None of the designs had a retractable roof
Majority of Las Vegas citizens don’t want them as shown in a KLAS poll ..Let them stay in Sacramento of make Fisher pay for it all then who cares
That poll question suggested general tax versus collected only in special district. So it was not relevant.
The specific question was "Would you support or oppose allocating taxpayer money in the budget for new sports stadiums?" The implication of how the question was worded is that the taxes would fall on the general public. That is not the case. If instead the question added "...if the taxes were paid only by those attending the stadium or other establishments located near the stadium." The responses would be different.
Also false about no public input. The public provided comments during the legislative process.
@@Baseball_Fan_NV straight up lie , there was no public input in the voting process ..Even the legislature members who were originally against it all of sudden changed their minds after they got let’s call them gifts then SB 1 passed . It all doesn’t matter ,that’s how Nevada works , the people and their opinions don’t matter, only the casinos and the politicians they can buy .From what I heard now is every game in Sacramento has been sold out for next season so good for the players and the fans at least someone wants them .
@@BoulderCityBlues Calling a lie when you are the ignorant one. The legislative process included public input both in Carson City in-person and remotely in Las Vegas. Also included was public phone in, and I participated. Interesting that those with the strongest opinions are also the most ignorant.
This is absolutely the most fair analysis of this situation Ive seen anywhere.
As a fan of the White Sox I can relate to Oakland fans anger when ownership gives up.
Las Vegas is the “New Oakland “
Oakland is Now Literally a Third World Country .
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Las Vegas should be an ultimate tourist destination again.
As a resident of vegas I knew the bid on the A's coming to vegas we knew back in 2021 vegas put the bid in 4 years ago just like we got the raiders from California too ❤❤
Anything is possible after they move the NFL raiders and gave them a massive indoor stadium
Another great video!
Give your editor a kiss, muah 💋
Shecky Greene Ballpark...i like it 😅😂
Idk why the A’s just don’t stay in California, I always knew they were gonna leave Oakland, but why leave the state? I wish they would just build a new ballpark in Sacramento or somewhere else
Because Nevada taxpayers are chipping in $380M, a sum they were unlikely to match in California
California has enough teams...
Oakland is Ghetto as hell. Certain areas are worse than the 3rd world.
@@BeeBee-pl9ly that doesn’t change anything, teams like the chargers and rams didn’t come until 2015, the the A’s have been in Oakland side 1968, and plus, Vegas only cares about teams that are good just look at how the raiders fan base is compared to the golden knights
@rmdvto Oakland had grant funding in excess of $380M
i don't think half the world even knows what baseball is let alone care about the stadium in vegas.
yet you cared enough to comment......also please google "world baseball classic" and while you're at it also google "Nippon professional baseball, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani, and Roki Sasaki" and then grab a fork from you're basement kitchen and eat those words dude.
Nice, but the map is wrong----Tropicana runs E/W and LV Blvd runs N/S.
All that money to build a stadium for a crappy boring team that moved cities. At least it will be used for other events as well.
Why would a baseball stadium with a modest capacity cost so much money to build?
It's not a retractable roof. And where are people going to park?
This building looks EXPENSIVE
It looks like the Sydney Opera House 😂
Almost 2 billion dollars for a baseball stadium? The sport isnt what it once was (in most markets), good luck with this.
@JBM425 Maybe the NHL All Star Game .
Or WrestleMania .
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
@@selfproclaimedintrovert5676 Inflation, everything costs more to build.
Reminds me of the rams move from St. Louis to la
You meant back to L.A., that is where they where before they went to st. Louis
Should be a beautiful park
What collateral is being put up for a 300 million loan from the bank? Just wondering after the events of 2024.
The Big Hollywood Bowl in Vegas!
They haven't even started
The Tropicana site is being cleared after October implosion. Construction to start before March.
TR-EV-OR- ITS TREVORRRRRRR!!!
If finished in 2028 the final cost will be 2.45 billion dollars
Be honest why would a team want to stay in California.California's own citizens are leaving in droves. Because of mismanagement of the state.
Very few leave. Best combination of economics and weather.
@edwarddeatley1117 lol
From 2010-2022 8.5 left and 6.3 mil moved in. There are 39 mil people in California. Nobody is noticing all these "droves" of people. Houses are still selling quickly
The council approved this publicly funded stadium because obviously the council was paid off or bribed. I’m guessing.
It will not contain a retractable roof.
Waste of money for Vegas. A majority of Nevada residentes are Dodgers fans !
I don’t care much for Vegas but if there is a mlb team team there I’m going and obviously spending money unfortunately
VIVA LAS VEGAS !!!! A's
And not the cruel sob owner John Fisher .
las vegas has so much to offer
nah bro is that the sydney opera house😂
Too bad it ain't going to get built. All that public funding to go to waste
I’m still waiting for someone to build a replica of Ebbet’s Field, instead of this “modern” BS.
Damn, we took both of Oaklands teams. And San Francisco took the Warriors.
$1.78 Billion? So there's money to build a state of the art Stadium but no money to help those in poverty......I see!
Baseball and stadium will be making the city even more monies. What do they care about helping the poor? You heard the saying 'it takes money to make money"?
They is so many teams rebuilding or Remodeling
There are .
Shovels in the ground? Who's going to pay for it?
Won't happen
The city will be blocked by the hotel that will be built on the same site.
AWS is looking to move their convention away from LV since LV cant provide quick access to 'break-out' sessions as movement has become a hassle.
please everyone stop saying "the" MLB....it's not The Major League Baseball
Public funding is never going away. Oakland and Alameda county were too cheap to get out of the multi purpose stadiums hiping Raideds ans A's didnt have better options...untill they did. And for those who think it was ok. Has life gotten any better in Oakland? Think about it
Bro all these new stadiumes bring biult is lit🔥
Oakland, NV
MLB should disband the A’s and replace it with an expansion team with new owner.
John Fisher lied about building a stadium on the Strip.
can’t wait until Las Vegas doesn’t have water
Not too far away with the insane home and apartment building that is going on now .
So if it uses public funds, the public (taxpayers) will benefit from the A's (MLB) moving to the area. I get pretty tired of hearing the bellyaching from whiners who know nothing about how money is generated by cities and states.
Why do the Athletics have an apostrophe in A's when their name is Athletics the same goes for the Orioles aka the O's 🤔🤔
The apostrophe is used as a contraction, not possessive.
John Fiisher is an unfit owner.
Hope they change the team name. I like Las Vegas Rollers
Sorry i like the Las Vegas Athletics.
Las Vegas Thieves , John Fisher prop,
@@stankatic8182 thank you
All this for a 10,000 people that will show up at the best.
It would be very cool if the A’s changed their colors to silver and black. Those ugly yellow and green have to go
No it’s not cause it was rebuild and dodgers have a better stadium and better season
