Inside the Most Advanced Arena Ever Built
The Intuit Dome is a $2 billion, state-of-the-art arena designed to redefine the fan experience for the LA Clippers. Fully funded by team owner Steve Ballmer, it features cutting-edge innovations like the massive Halo Board, an intimidating supporter section called The Wall, and seamless entry with Game Face ID technology. The arena’s design focuses on sustainability with an all-electric operation powered by solar panels, while its striking red steel frame makes it a standout in Inglewood. Despite facing legal challenges and opposition, including lawsuits from Madison Square Garden Company, Ballmer secured the project’s future by purchasing The Forum for $400 million. Now set to open near...

    Not only is the proposed new arena a threat to the Chinatown community, but it is also in the neighborhood of the HISTORIC DISTRICT with all the historical venues, such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, etc. Why is no one talking about that!!? Philly is a unique city, Center City is not like other down town areas across the country, so why are we trying to do what other cities have done? The Mayor, although I usually back her, is really trying to make this project part of her "legacy". There's no need for a new stadium, especially in Center City. If they are hell-bent on building, then go on to the available Camden, NJ site. They'll still be the Philadelphia 76'ers, and as "good neighbors", Camden could benefit more from the arena being there. Center City Philadelphia is NOT the place for an arena. NOT!!!!!

    I have been a 76ers Fan since I was 5 back in 2000 and if this new stadium is built due to the selfishness of owners i will most likely give up entirely on the NBA and will never go to an event at the stadium ever again. there is plenty of space to build a 4th stadium in the sports complex.

    The move to Austin was NEVER taken serious by any fan. They still had a contract w/ NYS that lasted i believe another 10yrs. Also The REAL group that wanted a New Stadium was the NFL. Owners put pressure on the Pegulas & NYS To build a “modern stadium” which had been pushed on to Buffalo since Ralph Wilson(previous owner) died.

    1. Septa doesn't even have funding to support their current services, let alone added ones to bring folks from the suburbs in on the regional rail. 2. Though they keep saying the billionaires will not get any of our tax money, our mayor has already stated that $20 million will be spent on "affordable" housing in the area. (Meanwhile our kids don't have extra curriculars in school and we have closed/underfunded rec centers and senior centers) 3. The car congestion will absolutely cost lives of people being rushed to the Einstein ER. 4. This will absolutely be a detriment to Chinatown. (Fuck gentrification) And possibly the Gayborhood.

    I'm an Illinois taxpayer and I say NO to the new stadium. The Bear's franchise is worth $6+ billion. Let the Bears pay for their own stadium! Secondly, I am opposed to the lake front project and completely agree with the Friends of the Park group that this should NO be built in this lakefront location! The Arlington Heights location is exactly on the center of their fan base. No better public transportation location can be found in this entire county. METRA, the public rail transportion service has a train station next to the site that brought tens of thousands of horse racing fans to the former races track. Enough said.

    The Chicago Bears want the Illinois taxpayers to finance a $7 billion dollar stratum and the team will put in $2 billion. The taxpayers still owe about $500 million on the current stadium so that cost would also need be added to the project. The governor and the legislators said NO! This public financing of projects that make team owner richer needs to STOP! Thank you.

My thing is I kinda hope this stadium doesn’t have a bad seat the third level in Nissan Stadium are really far from the action I just hope you feel on top of everything in this new stadium. Obviously the big stuff is hosting Super Bowls, Final Fours, and my hope is the SEC Football Championship the basketball tournament is in Nashville let’s get the football championship here it’s a more central location anyway with the expansion.

    I live in South Jersey. I'm one of the ones they think will start taking the high speed line and septa to center city. I won't unless, train and rail upgrades are made. All my life, it's been so easy to drive to all the stadiums. It's just a short drive over the bridge. There's plenty of parking and traffic isn't terrible after the games either. It only gets bad when there are different events happening at multiple stadiums. It's just not worth building in center city. I do think something needs to be done with the Gallery, just not a stadium that will bring so much traffic for each game.

    They should rebuild the Well's Fargo and invest in parking garages in south Philly, or invest in building the arena in Camden with shuttles. People driving in, are still going to be driving in. Moving the stadium to center city will only make the traffic and parking even worse than what it is now, while displacing the small local businesses within a 3 block radius with higher rent caused by higher property values. This will also effectively be shutting down the busiest Septa stop at Jefferson and 11st station too.

    I've supported the 76ers for the last 25 years and I've never visited Philly! Would love to visit this arena one day if built. But I will gladly visit Wells Fargo Center, formerly Wachovia Center and First Union Center, as well. Just creates more hype when a new arena is built. Also being closer to the city, will allow fans outside of the city to check out the downtown as well. All that being said, most Sixers fans are in Philly, so it's best to consult them first.

    Sadly this is the impact of quick bucks for developers and builders (*correction: no benefit to builders just a change to what they build, only quick bucks to developers a one time quick profit to one person) over long term far greater benefits over the long term for hotels which give back huge economic dividends forever - and give access to all of the beautiful views along the waterfront….

  • @atrayser
    @atrayser 2 дня назад

    It seems so crazy to me that hotels would be controversial - instead Chicago has miles and miles of countless apartments for rich people and professionals - and but now one hotel with a good view for everyone else - a hotel is accessible to nearly everyone at least once in awhile - so so crazy for. Chicago to wall itself off from everyone but the wealthiest and those servicing them rather than ordinary people to experice the amazingly beautiful waterfront - a waterfront that was supposed to be completely open to all - this contrasts so much with the expansion of the riverwalk end other improvements - nothing is better for the commercial viability of the city than making the city fully accessible to all - Chicago a generation ago had so many more hotels with beautiful views which one by one have seen their views destroyed blocked by one more skyscraper for the rich.
