@@JeffLacina Yes, for any first timers a good start would be the Ford Performance school at Charlotte Motor speedway. I think Ford my give you a one day school with your purchase of a GT 350 or 500. I also like the NASA driving schools all over the country. Got my start there almost 30 years ago. Lots of good times!

The voodoo engine sound always put a smile on my face every time. I just love it!
That flat plane crank V8 is music to the ears. Incredible performance on a stock platform in the hands of quite the skilled driver.
It's amazing the speed at which you are catching some of these faster (straight line) cars like the AMG GT, Nissan GTR and esp Ferrari 488. As always the Voodoo sounds just amazing.

They have always been (65/66 )extraordinary , now with all the modern technology I would expect nothing else I owned three 66 GT 350 cars all at the same time.
Well..some stangs are designed for the track, like gt 350 and the boss 302, regular mustangs will struggle on anything other than a straight line.

@@israruji not true whatsoever. The current generation mustangs (S550’s) can do very good on a track with the GT Trim. They’re IRS allows for better track capabilities. If you’re talking S197’s with the 5.0, yeah.. they might fall a little on a track, but they still handle pretty good with a live rear axle

Nice lap - good to finally be able to see what this car is capable of with a good driver behind the wheel. We had TWO of these in our car club while I was living near the Ring - could never get them to take them out for a lap, lol!

@@joshtrackday Sadly, no. We had 2 CARS, but the owners never took them on the Nordschleife.... would have been nice to see them out there.
This was some absolutely amazing driving. I don't know if this was the vid poster driving and if so, my hat is off to you! CLEARLY, you have the subtle nuances of this track committed to memory as is shown by portions where you short shift (and rightfully so given the turn) and where you absolutely cut loose to redline trusting the car on portions of the track that would terrify any passenger. Well done. I am a proud owner of a 2017 GT350 and out of all the cars I've owned (and tracked), it is by FAR my favorite drivers car. It is a special vehicle by all accounts.

This is a beautiful thing! One of the best sounding V8's ever produced and an absolute track monster as well. A 7:32 Ring lap time is no joke, that's an amazing time for a Mustang that most ignorant people clown on constantly while completely ignoring it's Nurburgring lap time
I do not own one, but dream of it an aweful lot. I'd like to thank Ford Motor Corp. for developing and building this beast and making it available to all of us (who can afford one that is). It's not that it's expensive, just life priorities for me right now. LOL
I tell you what to all my gt350r and gt350 shelby owners this driver has really shown what ford has put together and my self and lots of other think that we need more HP!! specially at the torque but the car wasn't built for straight line racing this amazing driver has really represented what this car build for in the last few years ford has upgraded a few parts kind like putting the icing on the cake and now gt350r and gt350 shelby are now discontinued!! and the only car with the voodoo engine and sound and if you think about it you can go on -on about this car for that being said we really need to think about what we have under our feet before we start to do major modifications or less straight line is what you really want!!!! ($$$$$$$)
Gt350 / r are cars for track using not for straight line you have reason!

Funny thing about these cars is they have amazing stereo systems with a sub woofer. I've used mine twice in 1 year of ownership. But damn it bumps. Try it sometime

Yeah the gt 350r is love. Its a mustang with nice track capabilities. Earlier even i did not know about the tourist tap but later got to know it is only Brifge to Gantry

Can we appreciate the fact that this is a private owner, not a Ford test/racing driver, bone stock GT350, with traffic and he still got a sub 7:30? There are cars in current production, that cost 3 times what that Shelby does and still can’t claim that time?

To this day, best sounding car I have ever owned. Better than gt3rs, gt500, alfa romeo, any of my bmw (although Dinan v8 m3 was close). It's simply amazing.
It sounds to be about 120db in the cabin. Damn. Nice driving, super sticky tires. I actually had to turn my speakers way down it was ear piercing.
The mustang that Ford truly needs to continue producing the GT500 just can't cut it on the track like this car can

What a great car and what great driving. Just a magnificent sounding engine. No electric car will ever equal the fun of this car. Loved it when he sucked the paint off of the mega dollar cars, especially the Kraut wagons.
