Community servers is where most of my hours has been sunk into this wonderful game. I miss some of the old ones though like uber upgrades, 100% Crits, custom mvm missions and STOP THAT TANK! I out grew some of the old servers I played which was mainly Deathrun but other than that Ive made some amazing memories on this game.
cool vid. ye sucks that you had to deal with the pain of zombie escape. its a boring drag of a gamemode that involves knockback spamming in chokepoints for the entire round that replaced an amazing gamemode with melee medics vs non sentry engineers. some things that people like honestly make zero sense
Found you through the "TF2 will never die" video and binged your content. Keep it up man! It's also refreshing to see new faces join the community and the fun they have. Been playing this game for 11 years and probably till I kick the bucket lmao. Welcome to the party pal!
If Overwatch has a lot of classes this game has items. Items change what you're playing. It's not just a stat thing. And never buy items/hats from Valve. Trade with players. You can even ask them to give free weapons. Most of the players have extra items they don't use.
I played this game very heavily from 2007-2014ish. Also ran a lot of community servers. The community servers _are_ the game. Matchmaking came many years after launch. The culture has always been in the community servers. Jump around that server browser tab my friend. And welcome to the real game.
not sure if anyone has told you yet, but theres a gamemode called "vs saxton hale". Its basically a gamemode where an entire team is against one player with like 10x health and can insta-kill almost every character. You should definitely give it a try or at least look at it. (I would recommend playing The Brew Crew's Custom Saxton Hale server since it has a nicer experience)
There are two community servers you have to try, one is called tf2ware where it's basically wario ware but in TF2 basically a bunch of Minigames that really go crazy, second is a server called redsun, redsun has an entire thing to it, basically it's a server where every half hour or so the server votes for a random game mode and you've got tons of stuff to choose from (bomber mod, prophunt, scp, tf2ware) also using the pan as melee? Actual tf2 meme Chad here
@@kel_ski tbh I'm just glad someone discovered the hidden gem that is TF2 at this time 15 years later, the more coverage this game gets imo is the better not because I'm a fan of this game, but seeing how the entire game industry this day is all about money and no one makes games like back then, maybe coverage over the good games will maybe invoke something y'know? So ye thx for the content and keep having fun lad, btw if u really like the charrecters or ever wondered about the story of TF2 beyond the animations, I highly reccomend reading the comics, they are well written, good artstyle and even humor that lives up to this day
Ngl its so nice seeing someone traveling through tf2 for the first time, its like reliving that shit again You came in at a right time, where there are less bots then in quite some time Also dont play mvm alot of people there are toxic
if you think the spray is cool, there's a weapon called the conscientious objector that lets you put sprays on a melee weapon, and it's one of the most chaotic evil weapons in the game strictly because you have no limits. On top of that, there are also silly servers which are basically the social aspect of slender fortress AMPLIFIED.
If you want a better zombie mode, try Super Zombie Fortress. It's a bit low population often nowadays, but if you can find a semi full server, it's genuinely one of the most fun TF2 gamemodes I've played.
Been playing the game since 2012 and I had so much fun with the variety of servers. There are/(was, but some of these servers are either empty or not online) smash-like arena servers, Build your own fortress ctf, friendly gmod-lite, pizza delivery, actualy cod zombies survival, surfing, rocket jumping courses, roleplay (It was just if a friendly server was hosting some event) Warioware, Verses Saxton Hale, Tower defense, and even a custom fan made mvm campaign story with bosses and objectives. I can never be bored of playing Tf2 since there is so much too do.
As far as zombies goes, usually its medics vs engineers. So you only have your shotgun, pistol, (speaking of which he needs a new shotgun at minimum a new pistol) and dispensers as measures to slow the medics down. A LOT more fun that way. Also the medics are usually faster, can jump higher etc. I will say its always weird to hear girls on there though. Like, I enjoy it when they are kicking my butt and I don’t hear them talking than if I hear them talking and failing on my team. And yeah, those pyros are insane! You should give uncle dane a check out if you want to ninjaneer sometime. And while soldiers are easy mode, I do respect their ability to Rocket surf.
i just can't resist absolutely losing my shit everytime i see a newbie experience the rituals in tf2 games and the deep ass rabbit hole of community servers, sprays, taunts, playernames, voice chat and killbinds
I'm glad I was one of the players to convince you to go to the community browser in Team Fortress 2 and it's great that you enjoyed your time on the wackier side of an already wacky game

Some of the best memories I have of online play are from dicking off in idle servers or playing balloon race or something. I met some really good IRL friends through tf2. This is the kind of thing that makes this game immortal.
And that's not even mentioning some oldies which are more or less forgotten today : randomizer, advanced weaponizer (now simply "custom weapons), zombie fortress (zombie survival but good), TF2 ware... And that's just speaking of mods. Some maps themselves are absolutely glorious. From achievements to trading maps, to Mario KArt and Orange... You gotta revisit the community dude!
I think I need some friends to play some tf2 with. After 2500 hours I left the game back around 2013 and I only casually play it sometimes. My favorite part about the game is the community and the custom game modes, its just so fun and with the 14 years old me used to love playing those and I still do. i will never get tired of tf2, until valve plugs out the game
there’s such a special charm about this game, i love it
Subscribed. You made some damn good TF2 videos so I’m sure they will be good no matter the topic.
thank you for being on board for the long haul 🤝
DEFAULT SETTINGS?!?! HERASY! MR ELECTRIC TAZE THIS MAN'S BALLS
to be honest i have default too lmao
default settings lowkey are nice, don’t tell anyone i said that though 👀
Buddy, Being apart of the Tf2 Community for 8 years, Its by far one of best games to just hang with friends and do stupid things in, And I can I say we're happy that you gave it a chance.
it’s so laid back. even in matchmaking i never really finds myself getting mad, even if i’m losing. it’s just fun!
@@kel_ski It's just a fun game man, Trust me, If you need any tips I'm always willing to talk about lol, Have a good one.
I love watching the game through your perspective, it brings back my memories of when I started. Part 2 please
Just a heads up, some people in voice chat/chat are absolute lunatics.
Trust me I'm one of these.
Bro i use default settings since 2012. LOL and glad that you are enjoying TF2 i hope the bots don't ruin ur experience, TF2 is a great game, is awesome i love it
default master race
7:02 "Okay who posted the Master Cheeks" 🤣🤣
i was CRYIN at that line lmaoo, my audio just didn’t capture for some reason
So glad you're getting into this man. I hope you enjoy every second of it!
2:06 Wish I was there, I know a lot of those people as well lol
i wonder how many of those people have seen this vid!
You forgot versus saxton hale
SHI… part 2?
Glad to see people showing off slender fortress, especially that server. I vibe on that same server a ton, it's a nice niche community on there. :)
that server was SO chill, very good people
@@kel_ski Seems to be mostly the same people on there too, at least when I'm online. Hope you join again sometime. It's always a fun time :)
Absolute Madlad legit just used a Dragon's Fury (50% slower reflect rate) in a dodgeball server. He's just built different
man here i was playing on hard mode thinking it was default lmao
You are a chad if you use the freaking Dragon's Fury on Dodgeball and actually do good lmao
cool vid. ye sucks that you had to deal with the pain of zombie escape. its a boring drag of a gamemode that involves knockback spamming in chokepoints for the entire round that replaced an amazing gamemode with melee medics vs non sentry engineers. some things that people like honestly make zero sense
i’ve seen a couple of similar comments and this just sounds so much more fun :(
thanks for watching though!
Well, here's more... Memes that community made by themselves.
somebody gotta do the work while valve sits on their pile of gold lol
Found you through the "TF2 will never die" video and binged your content. Keep it up man! It's also refreshing to see new faces join the community and the fun they have. Been playing this game for 11 years and probably till I kick the bucket lmao. Welcome to the party pal!
glad to of finally joined! (even if i’m late lol) thanks for watching the vids 🤝
Part 2 pleaaaaase
i got you 🤝🤝
Great video, I was glad to help you learn how to make a spray and use it!
YOOO is that the XONE and ONLY???? thank you for helping me bring master cheeks into the game 🤝
@@kel_ski It is! I was glad to help!
If Overwatch has a lot of classes this game has items. Items change what you're playing. It's not just a stat thing. And never buy items/hats from Valve. Trade with players. You can even ask them to give free weapons. Most of the players have extra items they don't use.
I've been playing tf2 since late 2008, and I can say for sure that there wont be a game like this again ever for me. Simply perfect.
I played this game very heavily from 2007-2014ish. Also ran a lot of community servers. The community servers _are_ the game. Matchmaking came many years after launch. The culture has always been in the community servers. Jump around that server browser tab my friend. And welcome to the real game.
Slenderman doing default dancing isn't real, it won't harm you.
Slenderman doing default dance : 5:29
Oh man, when you can you really should try out either x10 or x100
The sheer chaos that happens in those servers are always really fun
Always interesting seeing how new players react to the game. Especially in 2022
i’m surprised at myself for waiting so long to play this!
not sure if anyone has told you yet, but theres a gamemode called "vs saxton hale".
Actual tf2 meme Chad here
yo that sounds like so much fun! man there are WAY more modes than I thought in this game
So ye thx for the content and keep having fun lad, btw if u really like the charrecters or ever wondered about the story of TF2 beyond the animations, I highly reccomend reading the comics, they are well written, good artstyle and even humor that lives up to this day
Ngl its so nice seeing someone traveling through tf2 for the first time, its like reliving that shit again
You came in at a right time, where there are less bots then in quite some time
Also dont play mvm alot of people there are toxic
Oh hell yeah, I was on Degroot keep (medieval mode) with ya! Also Callum OP, he's a maniac!
i love how certain names are so recognizable in the TF2 community, just like Jester :’) warms my heart. Also nice playing with ya 🤝
if you think the spray is cool, there's a weapon called the conscientious objector that lets you put sprays on a melee weapon, and it's one of the most chaotic evil weapons in the game strictly because you have no limits.
I'm glad I was one of the players to convince you to go to the community browser in Team Fortress 2 and it's great that you enjoyed your time on the wackier side of an already wacky game
thanks for your great suggestions!
Definitely make a part 2. Hell make a part 50, tf2 content is just so fun you absolutely *could* become a tf2 channel, or at least integrate it along with your regular content.
i’ll definitely be keeping up with this game along side my other vids!
6:18 hat kid casually dead of the floor lmao
Back to back nostalgia kicks.... Love how genuine your reactions and opinions are
It feels good to watch someone, who's never played, genuinely enjoy TF2. This video is great.
Just got back into TF2, haven’t played since 2017 according to steam. I’m so happy to see the game and community are still thriving. It’s just so special and will never die.
watched both videos and got a few laughs. i have been playing since 2007. subbed. thank you sir.
Awesome Video. Love to see people enjoying tf2 and not crying all the time because of the bot problems!
i’ve personally hardly had issues with them so far, im just out here vibin with the game
@@kel_ski Glad to hear :) Hope it stays that way
The TF2 community is chaotic wholesome. Also, I think the algorithm just gave you a boon than anyone would kill for. And you got a sub from me as well. Good stuff dude.
This is a timeless classic and I hope for a new update every day
If you like the chilling aspect of the slender lobby, I would recommend getting into the trading community! Trade servers are almost always full of people just… hanging out! Even if you dont trade, its almost always a great time. Love the video!!
i’ll have to check these out :^) thank you
That's pretty nice, do a part 2 if you want to, I'll definitely watch it
Glad you gave Slender Fortress a try. Figured it would be a good suggestion for you to try after I saw your last video.
VERY happy i tried it
mannnn PART 2 PLEASE!! this video was so nostalgic and awesome
