I'll definitely be checking this on my 2023 cforce 500. I never would've thought to check for this if not for this video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Polaris had a similar problem with 2014 RZR 570’s intake boot would separate, it was a design change for the 2013 model year and switched back to the one piece in 2014. I’m glad it was guys like you that tipped me off to check mine after the first ride and saved my motor. Keep up the great work, you will be helping more people than you will ever know!!!
Thank you for bringing that to light, I have a 22 Cforce 800 and really enjoy it, I would hate to have something simple like this happen! I havn't done any of the clutching to it yet but will be at some point in the future. Thanks again!
Machine had been snorkeled which means those boots have been messed with and moved and could have been under stress that they normally would not have by being twisted in an unstock position.
What sucks about this on the 600 is it's such a pain in the a** just to be able to see it Wonder if I should just order 2 new And replace them gust because.
Hello, I'm from Monterrey, Mexico, I have a CFMoto 625 that used to run very well. Now I feel like it lost strength. any idea what could have caused this?
That knocking noise when you fire it up, what is that? I have a 2016 Zforce 800 I bought last fall and haven't ridden. It makes that same noise. I will also be checking those intake boots when I get it out of storage. Thanks.
How can anyone with broken intake boot drive for so long that dirt ingested can damage cylinders? I mean, mixture gets so lean that you cannot idle normally anymore, what do you do then, adjust for more fuel? I had many broken boots, engine dies on idle asap, if you don't go straight for it, next time you cannot fire it up anymore normally. I just don't get how.
I sold my Z950 HO EX and purchased a Segway Villain sx10 72in Wide. I got tired of people comparing the CF Moto to other brands. And trying to convince me they were just as good as anything out their. You shouldnt have to defend it. If its a good machine it should stand on its own.. Segway does that, im much happier now.
Was wondering if thete would be some kind of upgrade for the resr drive shaft on a 2019 cforce 500 this is the rcond time the coupler strips between the rear shafts
@@R.N.GPerformance how can this be preventative maintenance when it’s happen to machines with only 100 miles on them or less? I could see a 3-5k mile machine having this issue. Sounds more like a company wide defect that they won’t cover. Soft cheap made rubber for an inlet tube?
It will happen to your canam and arctic cat also as I’ve seen it on both of those brands also and I imagine any brand , at any time , as canam I saw it happen to was low milage and not that old ,
After 1000 miles though? 🤔 I have an 05 kodiak with 6k miles and 1200hrs that I replaced that boot on when doing carb work recently. My brothers uforce 1000 xl blew a fuse with less than 100miles on it stranding him on the road. It seems like cf moto needs to use better electrical components and rubber compounds.
@@TomislavKoren my IT250 has just suffered a similar problem, fortunately it's between the carburetor and the motor so there's no way you can't realise there's a problem. An IT has plenty of vibration and heat cycles. But it's lasted 35 years or so before failing. I suspect the cfmotos problem is simply quality (or lack of) unless something physically damaged it. Guess we get what we pay for 😞 It was cheap after all.
Why did the customer get grumpy with you and refused to pay you to fix it for 300$ after he let other mechanics throw a lot of other expensive stuff at it without fixing it?
@@R.N.GPerformanceMaybe I misread the situation. He looked grumpy and didn't want you to fix the machine - you even had to remind him that you fixed it when he was loading it back onto his truck. It felt like he was ungrateful and I took that for hostility - but since you didn't take it that way I'm okay with that. Personally I'd be pissed and let my dogs loose after him.. Anyways, thanks for the tips about checking the rubber.
Yeah because they're from China. Doesn't mean they arent 5x the machine Polaris is. I had a 570 sportsman, motor mounts were bad from the factory. Reverse chain skipped, shocks sagged after 100 trail miles, wheel bearings lasted 800 miles, bushings lasted 1200 miles. My cforce 600 has had no issues in 1700 miles and I just bought a cforce 1000 gen 3, best machine on the market and the cheapest, Polaris in big trouble.
@@R.N.GPerformance if it’s that big of a problem, why not install an aftermarket dust boot? Wouldn’t that fix the problem instead of always being to check it?
Yeah, just don't buy that communist garbage
Funny you say this. Because Yamaha, Honda, canam, Kawasaki they all have this exact same problem. So I guess that solves nothing.
I always spray these boots with silicone occasionally. Keeps from drying out
Never thought bout that think I may do that also if it helps
I use pledge. On everything.
I spray down my engines with pledge. And let it sit. Keeps all plyable. And healthy
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Mine runs fine and I want it to stay that way !

Just bought a brand new 21 zforce 500.....thanks for the heads up !
I recently bought a new 2023 z force gen 2. Love your channel, Wasn't familiar with these machines. Very informative, keep it up!!

2021 600 here I'll be checking that before next ride I have over 2000 miles never looked at it once.
Great idea for sure.

thanks for the tip. Dont have a cfmoto yet but will be getting one next year. Nice to know something else to check.

Thanks a million for that info dude, much appreciated 👍
Thanks for the info and all you do, we appreciate Sir.
Thanks for the info bro! Appreciate cha!

What is your recommendation on how to extend the life of these rubber components? Maybe a spray or lubricant we can apply?
Not a whole lot you can do. Probably silicone spray
Thanks for the information great video
Thanks good info 😊

I wonder if they're going to have a recall possibly on them?
Thank you for the info. Appreciate it

Thanks for the insight. Are there any changes to the new parts to keep this from happening again?
Not that I know of my friend. Thank you 🙏
Machine had been snorkeled which means those boots have been messed with and moved and could have been under stress that they normally would not have by being twisted in an unstock position.
Nope. I’ve seen this on quite a few all stock machines. They all break right there in the same location. It’s definitely a faulty part.
Thanks for this important informational video!

It’s the clutch. Its normal. Definitely check those. You’re welcome my friend.
@R.N.GPerformance thank you, that was what I was thinking
As always a great video
Is there a replacement boot that can be purchased that is better quality and will last longer?
Nice video! Will this be a problem with a overland 1000?
Potential
How did the intake valves hold up. Usually the intake valve seats get trashed with dirt ingestion.
Idk 🤷

I would recommend you ou check the boots on your Segway because ALL brands do this. Honda is a big one. Yamaha next in line.

Would this be covered by a dealer or cfmoto warranty if engine was to have blown? 2023 models?
No. This is a preventative maintenance thing.

Anything can happen with Chinese stuff I found that out with ice bear stuff

It will happen to your canam and arctic cat also as I’ve seen it on both of those brands also and I imagine any brand , at any time , as canam I saw it happen to was low milage and not that old ,
Probably not so much the low compression but huge air leak, not sucking enough fuel and giving a bad read to the air flow sensor,
Life lesson here kids is you get what you pay for
That sucks. Why does Honda, canam, Yamaha, Polaris and literally anything with rubber boots do this. 😂

So what actually caused it to split like that? Did a lump of wood or something get in there? It's not old enough to be simply old age.
They just split at the seems. Bad design. I’ve seen allot of them so this
Bad quality. Temperature fluctuations. Vibrations. Take all three into account and there you go.

Should this not be some kind of recall If this is happening.
No. This is normal for all machines.
How do you remove starter on cforce 600 2021
The electrical issues these have really scare me.
They really don’t have electrical issues. No more then Honda Polaris Yamaha Kawasaki etc.
But in this video you showed a failed fuel solenoid which is electrical.
I already lost an engine on my 2022 zforce 950 because of this issue 😢
Yes sir unfortunately
Sounds like I should stick with Yamaha

The CFMoto bikes cost less for a reason.
Yeah funny that I can't find a reason polaris, can am should cost more than cf moto

The Chinese use poor quality rubber compounds seen it on other things
Agreed
So, not all CF Moto bikes, but only ATVs. Quite the misleading title.
No. ALL CFMOTOs
@@R.N.GPerformance if it’s that big of a problem, why not install an aftermarket dust boot? Wouldn’t that fix the problem instead of always being to check it?
Im leaning more and more away from cf moto after watching your videos
Can’t say that I blame you. But don’t be fooled this will happen to all brands I just click baited it with CFMOTO for the algorithm.
I think if you give them a try you won't be disappointed.
Many 2 stroke snowmobile engines have detonated from cracked or torn carb boots . Need to inspect those things now and then
Should have Bought a CAN AM ………
