    Your clutch video hit a home run. This is very informative and its ppls choices to pick what they want. Im staying with MSC because with more testing being done and with my experience its been rock solid.

    Great Video! Your Chart Comparison was super helpful to me personally, it's actually screen shot and saved on my phone. Just got my msc stage 3 kit in and am stoked to install it. A video on how to soften or stiffen shocks would be helpful. I run mine on the roads 99% of the time here in the mountains of NC

      Awesome you’ll love your stage 3 clutch for sure. As for the shocks I could show my adjustments and it will help some. But to be fair the stock shocks are extremely limited in their capabilities. But let me see what I can work up. I definitely appreciate the idea.

      @mjmisadventures950 got the ecu tune too. just gotta take it off line for alittle bit to send it. on shock something simple this way softens this way hardens lol

      I haven’t done the tune just yet because I’m selling it soon for the new Segway. But I was gonna do an ecm tune video but nobody other then msc wanted to step into the ring and compete other then msc and another individual that tuned. I didn’t wanna do that because there wouldn’t be enough competition to make the video worth doing. But msc has a great safe running tune and helps to keep the motor cool as well.

    Well man this was great. I have a cfmoto 600. I am decided on what to do. My throttle response Is horrible, and the in-gauge of the belt to tires is horrible also. I just want that push throttle and it moves. So I think I am going to get a stage 1. Been doing resurch and this one sounds the best to do for my application. Thank for a good informative review.

      The stage 1 is a great upgrade. Definitely helps a ton. Helps keep the belt temps down as well.

      @mjmisadventures950 yeah I do more of hunting and working at the archery range with it. Little trail riding, mostly dirt roads. We will see how it all works. I just ordered the 1st stage clutch kit. Yeah the engine temp is anouther thing and the engine light keeps coming on for the o2 sensor. It has been in the shop for this 2 times. The o2 keeps failing.

    I just stumbled upon your channel and thought I would check it out. Glad I did cause you gave straight forward information that for whatever reason a lot of people like to skirt around these days. I happened to have purchased the stage 2 clutch kit from MSC and in my opinion was a good purchase cause like you said, it comes with that trust washer. Other kit don’t have it. I only installed the stage 1 kit so for because I wanted to see the differences for myself. Wow! There’s a major difference. Completely lost the midrange bog and that’s without the upgraded secondary spring installed. I’ll probably wait on the stage 2 part until I buy the helix cause I only want to pull that secondary apart once. Thanks refreshing information. 👍🇺🇸

    Moral of the story: Talk to the people about how you use the machine and let them pick the clutch for you. Assuming you trust them to sell what you need rather than whats the most expensive.

    Frist, you need to use a tripod so you have hands free. Second I bought a RNG clutch kit because My UFroce1000 was jerky and it didn't stop it so then I bought a MSC stage 1 kit and installed it, neither made it smooth but better. Then I drilled out the gas pedal and installed a spring which helped a lot. Crazy, but I then went back to the RNG kit and it's pretty smooth so I don't know if it's the spring or which clutch kit helped the most or the fact I have a few more miles on it. Thanks for the video as being new to this machine I need all the help I can get.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  6 месяцев назад

      Funny I had the tripod but chose to not use it because of lightning issues. But I agree or I should’ve have my wife help me out a bit. Now as for the clutch smoothness that to me is a mixture of things I know these have a super choppy gas pedal. Some people have bought the Polaris pedal and that supposedly makes it way smoother. The rng clutch is slightly smoother off the line because it’s a linear rate spring that’s very soft so it does help. The issue typically comes from as you go faster it tends to slip more and more. Where the msc clutch is a bit different it’s fairly smooth off the line but as you speed up the spring moves into a stiffer portion of the spring “Ie progressive rate spring” so as you put more load it gets stiffer and grabs better to the belt. But I’ve seen a few people use the spring trick to help.

    • @user-ie9kd7gw1j
      @user-ie9kd7gw1j 6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the reply, now I got to go buy the Polaris pedal and change back to the MSC clutch kit, only kidding, no I am not kidding as I will try anything to make this machine as smooth as can be. thanks for your video's.@@mjmisadventures950

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  6 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely buddy I’d also look into a tune because I know msc try’s to make the throttle pedal more predictable and bring it back to behave like a drive by cable vs drive by wire. So that might be a good thing to look into as well.

  • @lesback8867
    @lesback8867 3 месяца назад

    Great comparison of these two clutch kits vs stock, like that you tested both Stage 1 & Stage 3.
    the one question that I have is what degree Helix was used in each of the Stage 3 kits and were they a straight or multi-angle progressive Helix.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  3 месяца назад

      So the Msc clutch was a 38-52 degree straight helix. That’s their trail kit I have now. Their mud I think is a 32-48 and they have a new road one but I’m unsure of what its numbers are

    Yea I bought a stage 3 trail clutch kit on my stock cforce 600. I thought I did the proper research but obviously did not. I installed everything besides the secondary spring until I buy 27 in tires.

  • @MrStr8den
    @MrStr8den Месяц назад

    With the stage 1, apart from smoother take-offs and lowering belt temps (i assume lower engine rpm too?) does the stage 1 increase or lower the top speed of tje vehicle?

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  Месяц назад +1

      Long of the short you will sacrifice top speed but you gain way more bottom end. If you ride 60 mph and under it’s a great option. But if you watch my stage 3 comparison I break everything down at the end of the video. I have a stage 3 trail kit and still get 74mph but if you want to keep your top end look at their stock performance plus kit

    What does clocking the secondary spring do

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  6 месяцев назад +2

      Clocking the spring essentially adds preload to the spring effectively giving it more pressure

    • @mjmisadventures950

      Yes it will work. But your going to loose some top end speed. If that’s a concern you can buy the helix to get that top end back.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  2 месяца назад +2

      In a way yes and in a way no. The stock clutching is ok but a bit jerky I wasn’t a huge fan of that. Also a few of the clutch kits actually cool your belt drive down while also adding some performance that you don’t need to tap into all the time.
