    I’ve got a 22’ 950 HO Sport and I’ve never had any issues with it other than flat tires and one engine code which turned out to be a dirty air filter. I firmly believe that if you do regular maintenance on your machine it will last as long as the others. If you beat the living shit out of your machine, shit will break. It’s just the way it is. I mainly trail ride but I do drive it hard most of the time. The only upgrades and mods I’ve done are tires and rims, stage 1 MSC primary clutch kit, and RNG rev limiter deletes and added typical accessories. It’s been a great machine for me. I put on a little over fifteen hundred miles in one summer of use and plan on putting on a bunch more this summer.

    Mike, the 950 has a place in the riding arena with the other units but it does lack in a few spots as you mentioned. I agree whole heartedly. The new segway will be a big step up on suspension, power and rider comfort for sure. The longevity, WE will find out. Thanks for the video.

      Absolutely buddy. They’re a decent unit for sure and have some excellent qualities but that suspension and clutches leaves a lot to desire.

    Mike have had my 950 ho ex for a year now, up to 1200 miles and very similar upgrades ( no tune though) a little noise in clutch bearing, working that out soon, other than that no problems ..love it hammer it, gonna keep it for at least another year... i ride with mainly Razors and doing the same as i do they are always breaking, mine has past the test

    • @mjmisadventures950

      Absolutely it’s a good machine. Just wish cfmoto would listen more to the consumers and hopefully make more power and better suspension upgrades in the future.

    mine was good on the trails it never left me stranded and went where every one else did, my huge complaint is parts. ive waited 3 months for a bearing. of course warranty so was stuck at a dealer. and right now been sitting at my dealer again for over a month at this point. the park brake in the trans broke. warranty is covering it but ive been waiting a month for a 8$ gasket and they said it wont show up until hopefully next month sometime. straw that broke the camels back for me, after talking to lots of other owners who deal with the same thing i traded it in on a new 24 rzr XP1000

    • @mjmisadventures950

      I hear ya they are decent but parts isn’t great. Sucks it’s a warranty issue because I’m sure it’s available somewhere dirt cheap. Sucks man but I’m sure you’re loving the rzr.

      @@mjmisadventures950 yeah warranty is the real problem, they cover a lot but there just so so slow, im really loving the rzr more power and way better ride than the Z950 had. i got lucky to and found a local dealer with a 6000$ off sale on them right now

    I live in AZ, so said you lived here before... Do you think the zforce is the right machine for not only the desert washes but up at 8000ft elevation with 3 ft of snow we just got in the white mountains of AZ? Thanks ...Dave

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  5 месяцев назад

      All great questions. For Arizona I’d strongly recommend getting a clutch kit as the sand will cause some heat. The only other upgrade I’d make would be a set of good quality shocks “the stock ones will do fine for a while but the ride isn’t the best.” But as for the use in snow it won’t have many issues just run a good tire “bfg km3’s are a great Arizona all around tire”. But at elevation or in the valley it’s a great little machine. If you intend to rock crawl a ton I’d get better skid plates and when you go shopping I’d try and find an H.O EX as it’s added with and slightly better wheel travel will help in the washes.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  5 месяцев назад

      But food for thought look into a Segway sx10 wx as the suspension is amazing and for your riding it might be a better platform. If you watch my most recent aoaa video you’ll see me running one and their a great chassis and suspension.

  • @sterr1

    After a year of owning my ho ex i did over 1300 miles. The only problem i had was a shredded tire on a rail trail. Hopefully the next riding season is just as good.

      They are a good sxs for sure but I really wish cfmoto would listen to its customers and build a better unit for us. I really like em for sure just wish they’d put more into the community and make a better unit.

      @@mjmisadventures950 my buddy had to replace his clutches and front diff this year with just trail riding on his RZR. And I always see the x3's getting towed out of trails more than any other brand. I feel the CF moto is more than adequate for the price paid.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  7 месяцев назад +1

      It’s not a bad machine at all and fairly reliable as well. But I wish cfmoto would talk to their customers and ask what improvements we’d like to see to stay with the brand. It’s been very good for me so far and if I was big enough to keep it around I honestly would. But we’ve ordered a new sxs just to try something with more travel and more power for that reason. I would definitely own a cfmoto atv as I feel their on par with can am and Polaris for sure “that’s coming from a Polaris owner currently” but I feel if the z950 is the flagship model it should be the fastest with the most travel numbers but these definitely don’t have that and are in serious need of improvement. But for the average trail rider they’re a great machine imo “besides the skids and the shocks”.

    I was going to look at a cf moto and I just can’t pull the trigger on one because just as I have suspected. I went to my closest dealer that was 75 miles away one way and already out of business. There is just not enough support yet.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  7 месяцев назад +1

      I definitely get it in my area we have a ton of support. They’re fairly reliable and pretty easy to work on and they do work well. Also aftermarket is slowly coming around to me but it’s limited in some ways “ie no long arm kits/portals” I’ll say their uforce line is really good and on par with Polaris and can am. As well as their atv lineup is pretty solid as well. But imo the z950 needs some help with power and suspension. It’s supposed to be their flagship model and they just don’t seem to wanna do anything with them.

    I had a 22 950 sport, had many issues straight from the crate, my ownership ended at 518 miles, after fixing the main bearing 4 times, each time something else would break with it. Finally got fed up with it and traded it, no longer my problem and wouldn't buy another one just because of cfmoto customer service. Now their 4 wheelers on the other hand, those are nice, they are very reliable and have a place with the other platforms. But I'll never buy another cfmoto again.

      I’m going with a regular just because of price. The hybrid is awesome for sure and would love one but on the east coast I’ll never need that much power either. They are supposed to be out in second quarter “via Segway”. I placed mine with Steve the moment we spoke about it because I think once they hit the market they’re gonna be hard to get. As for taking more pre orders I’m sure msc will take them if your interested but I can’t answer for sure though.

      I agree. I owned one for almost 2yrs and just used it for trail riding. Did some clutching upgrade and 30"tires.Sold it then got an RMAX2. The RMAX2 already came with Fox suspension, 30"Maxxis on beadlocks, better seats, 2"roll cage tubing, more HP and 10yr belt warranty. Was it fun and capable? Sure it was but it's a more budget preference in my opinion.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  7 месяцев назад +1

      As I said their atvs are on par with Polaris and can am in all honesty. But their sxs’s are not. I’ve said the same thing for a while now if cfmoto would step up and build a better unit with better suspension I think they’d have a great unit “even a 68 inch wide” like the krx as these make slightly less hp they weigh way less and these can actually outrun them.

    • @mjmisadventures950
      @mjmisadventures950  7 месяцев назад

      I agree I wish they came with 30’s stock and some models do have beadlocks factory. Now theirs no argument about the Yamaha’s reliability and that 10 year warranty isn’t anything to scoff at. I elude to our new sxs coming in and thankfully no more belt drive so I’m pretty excited about that.

    You can be fast, without being full send everywhere… generally if your prematurely wearing parts, this would have happened on any machine… now some may be better in some ways, but they are big machines with alot of weight… you cant just land on one wheel on full throttle over and overon any of em… one wheel peel like a mofo aint good for any of em either…

      Yeah and as I said I take full responsibility for it. I never blamed the machine “besides the rear links” they folded up way easier they they should but thankfully theirs some good aftermarket ones. But no it’s a great machine overall.
