After owning a 21 Supra 3.0 Premium, several 6th Gen Camaro SS's and Scat Pack Wide Body I love my 24 GT Premium 10 Speed. 99% of people aren't road coursing a Stang.
What were your biggest likes and dislikes about the scatpack widebody? Im assuming you had a charger model, I'm asking as the dealership I work accounting for has a crazy employee discount for a challenger wb scat and I'm really interested, but curious if I want to move from my 21 Supra 3.0 base. Thank you in advance!
😅 I went the complete opposite way I had a 19 Scatpack charger and a 2020 mustang gt now I have a 2020 Supra and your correct the mustang is amazing gets a lot of hate but I love the Supra it’s something different for me.
@@liltoenail889 I had a Challenger and Charger. I loved em both! The Stang is a tad quicker but the Mopars were great. I'd own another. The ZF 8 speed is easier to control manually versus the 10 speed as well.
Gotta say I agree with your takes 100% after also having driven a few S650s including DH. The driver feedback and feel overall is pretty disappointing after owning and tracking a 6th gen ZL1 for some time now. I was considering DH or a S550 GT500 to try out mustang ownership, but I’ve realized it’s not the flavor I’m looking for. I’ve considered M2, 718, or 991.2, but I think ultimately C8Z is likely on my horizon as the market saturates some more in the coming years.
That was a very good, fair review. I have a Dark Horse with the Tremec 6 speed and and its a great car. I don't daily drive it but easily could. The manual is just so engaging.
16:55 I think that they’re assuming that you would be using the paddle shifters if you wanted to hold high revs , it auto shifts because it’s detecting the front tires turning -doesn’t want it to spin out. Either way…..I think it should be holding revs more in Sport/Track mode
So Miles, you get the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse out in the twisties, you're communicating with the car around every curve, and your body language is asking for the Tremec six-speed manual transmission! I saw your hand wanting to grab the shift lever, but your brain said: don't bother. Seems like every car that offers "spirited driving" gets hobbled with "daily driver" requirements that dominate the on-road experience. Looks like the typical Mustang Dark Horse will be stuck in traffic, right next to a Bronco Raptor (both with automatics).
I definitely was craving the Tremec in the twisties, Edd. It's inspiring that the Mustang has so many different flavors to suit different use-cases or driving preferences, but this particular setup wasn't my cup of motor oil
The Mach-4 will be the 4-door variant and while it would be controversial, it would be the family-friendly version. Your struggle of sitting in the rear seats alerted me of this. Also, it would fill the void for the previous Dodge Charger which was an incredibly popular sedan so it needs to enter production despite all the controversy. Plus, just because the Mustang has a 4-door variant doesn’t mean buyers can’t choose the 2-door variant.
well and i could be wrong but i think the reason you cant have sports dampers in normal and vise versa is because it puts to much strain on the vehicle and or it just in general might break something but i could be wrong
funny how americans are over critical of the mustangs... whereas the Europeans love these new mustangs as track cars. Misha loves these around the Nurburgring
@@Tattletale-Delta hey I'm american and I got no problem with the car and that's not entirely true cause thier really are people here whi say they really do appreciate this car and also I've come across comments of people around the world who show hatred towards it .

I've been a Mustang fanboy since I was a little kid. I've owned a bunch, with my last being a GT350. I was excited for the DH but when I checked one out in person I was super disappointed with the interior. Giant bezels, really cheap plastic (the fake CF is god awful), and yeah that steering wheel kind of sucks. If they had the previous gen style wheel and a real carbon fiber trim option like I had in my GT350 it would be a lot better. Great looking and fun car to drive, though.
Well that's an interesting take. I actually really like the interior and other people love it as well. I do know that you can add carbon pieces to the interior in aftermarket though.
@@burgerbandit3646 Yeah, no doubt a lot of people like it. It certainly feels much more modern and driver focused. I just can't get over the fake plastic CF trim, seams in the steering wheel, etc. If there are direct replacement real CF trim parts (not stick-on) then that would be a welcome improvement.
Apparently those big 305 cheater tires give ot all the mechanical grip and turn in is way waaaay better. Too bad that setup is almost not a daily way to go....gotta sacrifice something. Im over her in a 24 M2 and bitter this thing with the trefeos beats me on some track tests lol But that thing with the manual is a muscle car that can keep up with or more with sports cars
Just for reference, the BMW M440i Gran Coupe to the left at 10:25 (EDIT: It's actually a 430i GC) is the same price as the Mustang GT Dark Horse. Considering how much more luxury that BMW has, while riding better and being just as fast... Ford has lost it with the Dark Horse, IMO.
Hey miles is it just me or is that the same car that forrest use in his video and also you said the auto version of the dark horse doesnt have a launch control and only the manual one has it but i watch forrest's video and he said that it has launch control in it
It might be the same car, but a look into the forums and time spent poking around the menus does confirm no launch control. Forrest may have done brake boosting, as I did, but only the MT has LC
@@MilesPerHr ohh i see but still that doesn't make any sense why did forrest lie about the mustang dark horse having launch control in automatic trasmision but infact it doesn't have it
S650 is a downgrade from the S550, Ford targeted an audience that cannot afford the car and took away tuning. Also, my 2020 Cali Special has the “My Mode” and it doesn’t have that issue, I can change everything besides the magnaride I don’t have.
The fact that they locked the ECU will be a major deal breaker for a Mustang community that is well known for being mod happy for sure. Generally speaking, this industry-wide trend of locking features and throttling mechanical capabilities from the factory marks an ominous slide towards over-the-air censorable cars.
@@nobu2254actually, I can afford one but I'll never buy one, especially an automatic one, like all the non-drivers out there. I will embarrass you on any canyon road or on any track in my optimised😉 cayman. I have yet to find a mustang automatic driver that knows his way around a corner.
