It's because it's regulated. The voltage of the battery pack inside is probably different than 12v. 14v is the standby voltage. Once you plug something in, it will lower. Hope this helps.
@@OffGridBasement Appreciate for your quick reply. I can understand that a manufacturer can have any kind of technology inside. But if the outlets are designed to provide 12V for 12V appliences, then why not call them 12V? I doubt there are many people who have 14V gadgets, most probably they do not exist. If this regulated voltage technology is designed specifically for 12V (what is indeed expected here) I can only guess that this technology is an advantage over just having non-regulated 12V scheme. And they want to point that out. Am I right? On the other hand - is it really safe(r) to plug in 12V gadgets in this cigar lighter?
I would not say that it has Ah of 272Ah because the unit will not be using system Voltage of 3.6V, more likely to be 12 ~ 24V system. Since the power capacity is rated at 932Wh, so 932Wh/24V = 39Ah batteries. Too bad they do not use LiFePO4 batteries in this price range. No pass through charging? at this price it should. BTW, since the DC barrel input has input current limited to 8A, so for car charging with 13.8V from battery with 8A limit = 110W max. Using their 19V dc charger = 19V x 8A = 152W. Does thee user manual show what the max charging power is and can you charge using both input ports at the same time?
Saying that it's 272,000mah is totally ridiculous and misleading. That is how it's promoted on the box for the product. Measuring a battery unit in mAh is really reserved for units that primarily charge USB devices like phones and tablets. They really should've stuck with 932wh. I'll look into the duel charged option. I need to get an Anderson to MC4 cable or Anderson to 5521 barrel plug. Thanks for the comment.
Great idea with the saw horse!
It really does work out very well.
Nice power station 👍😁
Thanks!
Thanks a lot for so detailed test 👍👍👍
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the comment.
Thanks a lot for the review. Very helpful. Could you clarify why the DC outputs are 14V, not 12V? Is it safe to plug in standard 12V gadgets into it?
