    Looking good, I would be interested bro see if the pods would fit with the narrow end against the side wall and a gap between each to leave access easier. They are designed for gravity and might work better that way considering you have to retro drum for the nexus? So you won't have as much maintenance that way and should have better water clarity too. A few well placed blocks would work and shouldn't cost much. As the sieve will take most out before the drum. Also would look to have the filtration if possible down the back end over in front of the pods? Again this will all be depending on space and setting it up for ease for yourself down the line. More work at the start leads to less later on in my book. Best of luck and looking forward to seeing what way you go👍

      Yeah you are definitely right, taking some time and planning it out properly will pay dividends hopefully. Just trying to maximise the space I have. I have changed my mind at least 5 times in the last 24 hours 🤣

      @@OrchardKoi definitely and maybe you could run them long ways along the side,all piping along the side with the filters in between them,would leave the space on the outside and once the IBC is up enough,could have them all along the one side,leaving you more space in the long run and easy access. It's like juggling only with cats🤣

    I do enjoy watching you videos as I run a 400 gallon fibreglass tank which is filtered by an Eazy Pod via a bottom drain but I use it purely for quarantining new Koi before adding to my main pond.
    I do this as I’ve unfortunately introduced nasties to the pond in the past which have led to losses!
    You appear to be using your tanks solely for grow on but never mention moving them to your pond which I don’t recall ever being featured in your videos!
    With the level of growth your aiming for they will outgrow your tanks relatively quickly and with the dense stocking levels you run become stressed which can lead to all sorts of secondary problems!
    I’m just a bit concerned that you may be focusing too much on growth rather than a happy comfortable environment for your Koi!

      @OrchardKoi  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah I QT too, just because ingo so many places. Yeah a fair few of these grow ons are my dad's who does have a decent sized "proper" pond so some will end up that way , and the plan is eventually to build my own too. Bringing these two ponds online will give me over 2000 gallons in total 😊👍

    Hi Mate, Your making Great progress. The Fish in the grow on, look very Healthy. Looked at the price of FD today. Think I'll stick with Saki Balance.

    • @OrchardKoi
      @OrchardKoi  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah The FD doesn't seem like a value alternative at the moment. Feel it should be cheaper till it proves it's self mainstream. Cheers dude 😊👍

    If you are using the Draco drop in, I wouldn’t bother with the sieve, it’s overkill and i think it sull cause problems, save it for a another project

    • @OrchardKoi
      @OrchardKoi  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah I am thinking this, but the temptation of double mechanical seems to sway me. Also makes it easier to run the 2 ponds in same system🤔. But I think you are probably right

      I agree, plus you are not going to gravity feed between the sieve and nexus. It won't work without significant hassle.

    • @OrchardKoi
      @OrchardKoi  7 месяцев назад

      @ianh3098 it does seem that way. I've had issues trying to do a larger system of a 2 inch gravity feed before. Back to the drawing board 🤣
