One of the best 4 berth sub 3.5 I've seen of late! The kitchen, as everyone says, is rather on the small side, but a compromise I could easily accept as everything else looks to have a solid tick in its box.
I saw it at CSD2023 and was afraid it would be a rebadged Pilote. Glad you confirmed the build quality is Frankia standard. Looking forward to this year's prizes. It'd be a blast if the one I presented to you got one. 🎉
Peter, without having seen this van other than via your usual thorough review, it's seems seriously lacking in locker space. Virtually no useful kitchen storage and other than 2 lockers over the bed, none other at all. Distinctive interior treatment, but definitely a case of form over function. I'm surprised at this from Frankia.
Look at that USELESS eye sore over this gentleman's shoulder 😅 oh the Dutch had the most beautiful and useful windmills. By the way, you all make much nicer campers across the pond. Love them. 👍🇺🇸
I see that but then you have to have a small refrigerator. I know you have to make compromises with any model but this isn't one I would make. It's good that companies are trying different things to suit different people however.
Was this the only contender in this category as I find it hard to believe that is is the best? No storage, no workspace, very little payload and no door window which is needed as the door is on the wrong side for UK roads. The lounge/dining area is average but I would give the decent size table a bonus mark and the washroom is quite good but who is going to hang a towel 2 inches away from the toilet? How long would the blinds last if you sat up in bed in the transverse mode?
No storage? Plenty for two people, surely. Why have lot more that you can't use on a 3,500kg vehicle? Several firms are deleting the door window and it does feel nicer inside if done well. Niesmann for example. Can't see many folk using the transverse bed - it's designed for singles. This was a hotly contended category, as always. Many rivals are very samey with nothing like the design or quality here.
@MotorhomeCampervan It's sold as a four berth but there is still not enough space in the kitchen for two people for a long weekend. You would struggle to fit your saucepans, kettle, a loaf and packet of cornflakes into the cupboards. I agree that using the bed in transverse mode is daft, north/south makes access easier. To get round the sitting up to read problem, I would sit with my back to the washroom instead of leaning on the window. The lack of a window the door makes it claustrophobic.
I am amazed. This is an award winning van. A huge worry for the UK and industry, dare I say it with the award being handed out by people who I would suggest don't use vans. This van apart from the garage lacks storage space in a big way. I love the focus on sleeps 4 with a 350kg payload and nowhere to store anything apart from the garage. Sorry to be harsh but I am still amazed at the award winner!
It's primarily a two-berth (with occasional capacity to take a couple of grandkids). AS for people who don't use 'vans - really??!! I have over 40 years' experience of living in and testing motorhomes, everything from Daihatsu Hijetta to Morelo and Concorde liners. Seriously question why you need more storage for stuff you'll never use and could put you overweight.
Not very impressed, to be honest. Kitchen is hopeless and why pinpoint the fact that there are no wall cupboards over the kitchen area as a positive? The sleeping arrangements are first class though IMHO.
I don't see anything "hopeless" about the kitchen! Better, surely, than the many models with an oven you can't safely reach? And what's so good about wall cupboards that are too high for many folk to see into? You should only put lightweight stuff up there anyway. Frankia's tall unit over the fridge is better thought out.
@@MotorhomeCampervan you always knock the high eye level ovens . If you design a akitchen now everything is high level . I would and I’m sure the manufactures would agree is to put the oven at eye level and keep more general kitchen storage below the counter top ! I must disagree with you on this point Peter but Ty for your reviews they are by far the best 👍
@@MotorhomeCampervan I just felt there should have been more thought put into worktop area. Tricky getting things out of high cupboards, easy way round that one. I feel motor homes should always aim for maximum space efficiency even at the expense of dubious aesthetic value, and certainly not at the loss of practicality.
Honest feedback, your videos are far too long and you keep yacking on. 7-minutes is all it should take to do this review, 9-minutes tops. Others can do it. I refuse to watch these overlong videos. Maybe try to keep it shorter, views might rise. Just a thought.
Honest feedback. Peter’s reviews are the best in the business so if your attention span is too short for these in depth reviews then maybe stop watching.
I completely disagree. With these reviews you get a really good overall feel for the motorhome. A 7-9 minute video wouldn't do that and would also miss out a lot of the details.
Our subscribers have said it for me. I'll let other channels do a brief overview when they haven't really used the 'van and don't have the experience to give you the real detail...

Spot on. There's only so much you can fit into 7m without it feeling overcrowded

The 2025 awards will be announced on 13 December.
Not sure what you mean by "the one I presented to you"?
Lots to love about this one but I think the kitchen lets it down a little bit… that slide out utility draw on the exterior is a great idea 👍
Matching towel. Nice.

It's about not feeling overcrowded inside. That tall unit in the kitchen is very useful, too

A nice looking motorhome but not having cupboards over the kitchen unit seems a price too high for the extra feeling of space.
The cupboards over the kitchen have been replaced by the tall unit over the fridge
I see that but then you have to have a small refrigerator. I know you have to make compromises with any model but this isn't one I would make. It's good that companies are trying different things to suit different people however.
Looks nice but The Reduced payload wouldn’t really allow 4 people plus luggage
I'd recommend up-plating the chassis if using as a four-berth. Better to order without the drop-down bed and use for two.
Watch your speed, Peter! The limit on single-track roads is 60.
And the digital display was in km/h! I knew someone would question that!
Nice looking Motorhomes but a little expensive when you can get a better specification on a Carado for less money
Better spec? Carado (although very good) is an entry-level brand, Frankia is premium - think VW versus Audi

Nice van but kitchen is such a let down , no real cupboards and the only decent one is filled with a bin
The tall unit over the fridge?
All very nice but essentially still 90k to empty your own Turds from a fancy bucket.
You're not a motorhomer then?
If you prefer, how about a 'van with the Clesana toilet - ruclips.net/video/YWY0oTLITi8/видео.html
No storage
Really? If you had a lot more you'd probably be overweight!

You can't do a proper review in under ten minutes. These reviews seem to take the perfect amount of time.
