Thanks for another great review! I won’t watch anyone else other than Peter V for the content! And as a comment on the motor home - agree, that oven is unforgivable at that price.
It’s very nice but would have issues on the small roads in the UK. Would be fine here in Oz. As the kitchen is well fitted out and has lots of workspace I don’t think the lack of grill is a big issue as you can plug in a toaster, sandwich maker or toaster oven. Lots of storage for these items. Thanks for sharing Peter.
On the Surface, beautiful motorhome, but in reality, too many compromises for that Price Tag. As usual Peter, excellent video, keep up the good work.😀😀
Amazing motorhome with an amazing price tag! Im dumbfounded by the cost actually as it strikes me that the type of people who could afford this wouldn't be the type to, as Clarkson put it "deficate into a bucket". However buy them they must, I can only dream and drool 😔
Great review Peter but for that sort of money I would want a premium Chassis rather than an Iveco. It would be interesting to know how many a year they expect to sell and that bathroom cupboard is the same as the one in my CV40 although mines a little smaller. Cheers K.
Not sure about the torque converter Peter. It’s an automated manual. Exposed screws and flimsy side fairings are poorly finished and as for the lack of investment in the cab … Toilet sink and the oven too compromised and dangerous removing hot food. Concept is great but I’d expect more attention to detail at that price. Interesting to compare to some USA models.
Cab is a shocker like our local delivery drivers vehicles, the over cab will be a real challenge to clean especially the mastic. Much prefer an A-class and using the cab for the reclining front seats , my back wouldn’t cope. It’s just ugly , big rear overhang as well. Bet is low teens mpg as well. I’ll keep my Cathargo. You would have thought at that price they would have a better toilet system than a standard cassette, Burstner have their new system for less money
Plastic sink and doors manual steps upfront is as standard as you can get a bog standard van the oven is a joke but the biggest joke is the price it just doesn't warrant it
Different tools for different jobs. With kids, the Dethleffs. Just for two, the Carthago (does what it says on the tin!). But for me, something a bit smaller.
It's a substantial vehicle but as you say the oven is ridiculous and potentially dangerous if you were trying to get something hot out of it. Good review as always though.
Considering the price tag, so much of this vehicle felt like the cheapo, economy version. Sure, the lounge was swish and stylish enough, but the TV and speakers are 'extras'. The kitchen/galley area was very nicely styled with that curved workspace and the very attractive top lockers, but that 'oven' (and yes, I used inverted commas there) seems like it was designed by someone with an unhealthy obsession with pop tarts, or very small pizzas. There's no way on earth you're roasting something for 6 people in that tiny, inaccessible little thing. You've the option for a toaster, an air fryer, etc with those 2 power sockets, but once again, you're going to have to pay for those yourself. The slats under the Luton overcab bed were a nice touch, and the space was decent, but it certainly didn't feel luxurious enough for the price tag. The main, rear bedroom was similar in that it was all functional enough and generous in space for it main function of sleeping, but those hanging lockers were small and not the most accessible. Certainly not luxurious. The somewhat wobbly 22" TV was again, functional but not luxurious, and once again, was an added extra option. For the price of over a quarter of a million, I'd want and expect the space to feel a lot more luxurious and classy, and it just wasn't. In fact, only the lounge and the kitchen felt at all stylish enough for a vehicle of the price. Everything else felt a lot more like the cab - utilitarian, functional, but without any style or luxury at all. You've treated us to so, so many motorhomes that are less than half the price of this, but felt twice as attractively styled, and with thought for the feeling of a bit of luxury. I felt pretty disappointed by the fit and finish, especially for the price tag, and have to wonder if people paying for this vehicle's functionality (payload, garage, double floor, etc) would not rather actually feel like they'd spent that money when looking at the very poor design choices for many parts of the vehicle.
Great review Peter. You’ve just saved me a fortune not to purchase this horrid looking beast. It’s a shame that the front end was never integrated into the Motorhome. I may well as been a caravan or better still a 5th wheeler.
Very expensive for what it is. I always compare to my own van Hobby 6.8m and I'm never envious but happy that I have much more and I paid much less. Who buys these and how many do they sell? I mean expensive for what you get. If you could ask around, I for one would be interested. Where are they all parked?
One dealer has 7 on order for this model year. You'll buy this for the heavy chassis, rear-wheel drive, huge payload (and garage and double floor) and massive towing capacity. Yes, it's expensive but few 'vans match these aspects.
Yes, because it'll be easier to empty than a marine system. I'd certainly recommend carrying a spare cassette in the garage, though (some German 'vans have specific storage for a second cassette)
What did you expect? Most motorhomes have a three-way fridge (usually with auto energy selection, except on basic models). Only campervans and a few motorhomes have compressor fridges
@@MotorhomeCampervan Well, I was expecting a compressor fridge! With recent units connected to solar panels, efficient lithium batteries and DC to DC chargers, I really don't see why 3 way fridges shouldn't be eliminated.
Is there a good reason why they don't fit combi microwave/oven/grills in these motorhomes? Seems like a no brainier to me. I realise it would have to run off electric but you'd still have the gas hobs for off griding. No one is using that oven as is. Seems a shame.
You hit the nail on the head - you'd need 230V electric and I'd see a vehicle like this being used off-grid a lot of the time, either wild camping or at race circuits, etc
I think they've improve since then. The latest Daily drives really well, otherwise it wouldn't be accepted on vehicles like this and more expensive ones from Niesmann, Morelo, etc
Nice MH for two people touring but I can't help think that we Europeans get taken for a bit of a ride when you see what $332000 at todays rate will get you the other side of the pond.
Well first great review Peter, but for £260,000 plus that is one ugly looking van from outside. It had to be an A class. But I assume that’s not an option on an Iveco. Yes it’s gorgeous inside, but the oven really is unbelievable. This is the polar opposite of what I would buy, I prefer something easier to park, that does not stand out to much, and for reasons of finance something half the price or less. But if I was looking for a gin palace on wheels it would have to impress from the outside, and this one fails miserably on looks. And the overhang, I would be terrified when getting on a ferry. I saw no mention of solar, but I assume it’s has some. As for satellite tv, old hat now surely this van should have come with 5G connectivity instead, that’s what I have in my PVC and it works a treat. Thanks again Peter, great review in terrible weather.
It is a lot of money but when you see what you get not bad value. There are a lot of wealthy people out there, they look at things a lot differently to those of us earning close to the average wage.
Thanks for the review Peter, very well presented as usual. I would love to know who would live behind the door on that beast (its not a looker), I just can't imagine anyone buying such am ugly beast. First thing that needs doing is removing the "IVECO" branding. I cant think of the correct analogy, but its kind of like having a Ferrari and putting a Fiat badge on it. I guess its more function over form.
Yes, definitely function over form. I think Travelworld have seven of these for this season, so they must sell quite well. The payload and towing capacity will be key to the appeal
I'd be dreading the first ( inevitable ) bump or tree/bush damage. Just where would you dare drive and park this. Im Not being critical just forward thinking
That's the issue with any motorhome of this size, but there are even bigger 'vans and some folk want these huge beasts, for living space, storage or payload. Each to his own...
Thanks for another great review! I won’t watch anyone else other than Peter V for the content! And as a comment on the motor home - agree, that oven is unforgivable at that price.
Much appreciated!
Regards the price I think they just made it up ! Its not worth 100K
What an absolute beast !! Great review Peter. Thank you very much
Glad you enjoyed it
The most important seat in the van, the toilet, and it's jammed in to a corner
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. Definitely one of the best Large Motorhomes available 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great to see something like this. Only £261K ? Blimey I’ll have 2 of them ;-) 😅
It’s very nice but would have issues on the small roads in the UK. Would be fine here in Oz. Many thanks!
That oven seems like an afterthought.
Yes, the Germans don't seem to want ovens as much as us Brits
That's a huge overhang, excellent van though.
I will say and should've a great review as always
Thank you
You'd be King of the road driving that bugger😂
I'd happily shell out for one if I could❤
As for the oven, for that price I'd want an on-board private chef
Very nice, but that needs a double axle, with that overhang, I would get in trouble 😂
Nice idea but you can't do a tag-axle with the rear-wheel drive Iveco, only Al-Ko chassis versions of the Merc and Fiat
Brilliant review as ever Peter and just shows, that even at that price point, it’s still not a perfect Motorhome. Does anyone make the perfect one?
No, definitely not! But we all have different ideas of the perfect 'van anyway...
What a pity about the ice cream
If it had been summer I'd have been really upset. As it was early Feb and cold and wet, not so bad...
Lovely but looks like a horse box 😂
Amazing motorhome with an amazing price tag! Im dumbfounded by the cost actually as it strikes me that the type of people who could afford this wouldn't be the type to, as Clarkson put it "deficate into a bucket". However buy them they must, I can only dream and drool 😔
Plenty of people spent more than this on a motorhome. Morelo builds 500 'vans a year in Germany, priced from £200k to £850k...
Yep and for 6 people that toilet would be emptied twice a day ! Nahh its not for us thank you.
Suppose if you're selling the house and traveling the world in one that price it makes more sense!
Seems like good value to me, I live near a huge marina, the amount of wealth on display there, this would barely warrant a second glance.
Great review Peter but for that sort of money I would want a premium Chassis rather than an Iveco. It would be interesting to know how many a year they expect to sell and that bathroom cupboard is the same as the one in my CV40 although mines a little smaller. Cheers K.
What chassis would you choose? Merc Sprinter isn't heavy enough
@@MotorhomeCampervan Isuzu, excellent build quality and reliability.
Peter, you didn't mention the hatch on the nearside, between the gas locker and garage door. There be dragons?
Access into that double floor area where all the extra cushions were

It's not an automated manual, it's a ZF 8HP automatic transmission. Has been for years now. Himatic = Iveco's branding for the 8HP.
As per comment below, the Hi-Matic is a torque converter transmission

I'd expect 18-22mpg, depending on cruising speed adopted.
Interestingly, the Indus toilet system has not been adopted by other brands.
Plastic sink and doors manual steps upfront is as standard as you can get a bog standard van the oven is a joke but the biggest joke is the price it just doesn't warrant it
So….this, or a similarly priced Carthago Liner for Two….?🤔What say you, Mr Vaughan?

I think because of the curvature of the kitchen, it wasn't possible to fit the oven anywhere else.
I agree but it's not just the location, the oven is tiny too
Cassette toilet on something this big, with what i assume will be quite a few people??
Yes, because it'll be easier to empty than a marine system. I'd certainly recommend carrying a spare cassette in the garage, though (some German 'vans have specific storage for a second cassette)
I can`t believe the price! Lets see how many get sold🧐
It's expensive but this is a well-established model, so they must sell a reasonable number or it would be discontinued
I can't believe in 2024 that a motorhome of such price be equipped with a 3way fridge.

Prefer the lay out of the Grand Alpa A7820 on a Ducato.
Me too, but this suits multi-person use much better
Great for those Euro Millions lottery winners.
Utilitarian would suit me fine
