    Staggering considering the base price is nigh on 180k, how so many essential items are classed as ‘extras’, with extortionate price tags. 2k for a bolt on tow bar? £500 for a step? Absolute insanity.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  Год назад +3

      It's typical of high-end German motorhomes, but also increasingly other high-end products. Some car manufacturers ask £10k for "special paint" and look at the cost of carbon accesories on Ferraris, etc.

      I think anyone with a quarter of a million quid to spend on a leisure vehicle will be wise enough to know what they're doing.
      Hardly a swindle when a top spec Range Rover is £140k before options and the new Ferrari SUV is £400k!

    Much enjoyed the review. As a Carthago owner the only thing I would say is that I disagree with your comments regarding the rear view camera. Ours has the same set up. The camera is an ‘on the go’ camera as well so I always use this as well as the mirrors when driving.
    If it was on the screen on the dash board I wouldn’t be able to use the sat nav screen at the same time. You soon get used to glancing to the right to view the camera whilst also checking your mirrors, it does work when you get used to it and I wouldn’t want a different system!

    Read down through all the comments, obviously I am not the target audience when it comes to price, perhaps for most people here. Age and time left has alot to do with a purchase of a motorhome for me , my next bday is 60 , i am not financially rich , just wanting value for money is my driver and buying the best I can afford. The adria or Burstner a class 2nd hand are my most aspirational van with my budget. The other thing that I often wonder is if you have alot of money to buy a motorhome of this value, would this person be interested in cooking their own meals , and emptying a toilet........ Perhaps I need to get out more. I just wonder who buys motorhomes after a certain point. I understand it when it comes to motorsport teams . I wonder what a damaged repairable van would go for. I might manage that, anyway I still enjoy seeing top end vans and the neat design features they come up with. I liked the slideout in the kitchen ,,,,,,,,, clever thinking.

    No electric front blind! so you can't bring the blind down whilst driving. Essential switches on the passenger side, such a sloppy conversion. Also all of these vans skimp on the driver side comfort. The driver has the tiny manual window, the passenger gets the electric window. Shame that such a premium motorhome is skimped on.

      My Concorde has everything on the right hand drive, and the same large windows for both passenger and driver.
