There is definitely a TV station - behind the half-dinette bench, I think. Not sure about a microwave - I doubt it - but you can have a version with a bigger fridge and a gas oven
Like the sofa (if it is genuinely usable, the bottom not sliding away etc) and the rear/up/left storage. Other than that, not going to cancel my order of another brand.
This is the first one I've seen with a fixed transverse (well almost fixed) bed. Has everything I'm looking for, however with the sliding door on the wrong side it's a non starter for me.
@@yessam1460 I think because in the UK, the sliding door would open to traffic rather than to the pavement. So it's a safety issue as rear passengers would have to exit into traffic.
The amount of times he says “Extra cost option” / “Optional spec” / “You can have” is ridiculous considering it’s supposed to be ultra high spec already
No, it's high spec because the dealer (Hayes) has added lots of options. That's the way with many imported 'vans. You can have a basic model (which UK buyers don't usually want) or add as much extra spec as you desire. This dealer has found that really high spec works best
@@peterv3642 it can't be ultra high spec if you say the majority of them are ordered with high specs, and still there's stuff missing. Ultra high spec should tick every single box.
Prices are rising all the time and this 'van was filmed over a year ago. However, it is worth considering against the Adria models. Have a look at Dreamer, too.
Flush fitting windows that can be “popped out with a screwdriver” are better for security in what way? And what motorhome user with any “on the road” experience would store heavy cans in a high cupboard only held by a magnetic catch? I agree, the shelf at the head end of the bed is an accident waiting to happen. I like the way the toilet goes back into a recess. The sink is worse than a joke. Other than all of the above, great review. Thank you very much.
Very Nice van...Do they make it for the North American market as well?..as I would love to drive across Canada in one of those vans, minding I stay in the Vancouver area during the winter.😂
I’m just pleased somebody else thought of this. I’d imagine BA Baracus in his senior years would definitely appreciate the under bed storage for a generously sized moon chair.
Excellent review. I’m liking Pilote more and more as they move away from a distinct French style to more quality sleek vans like Adria and Malibu. I think you were quite taken by the P626D which is a few centimetres longer and probably wider too but about the same cost. Which would you have for a 2 bed van and why?
Have you tried one recently? I think they're much quieter now and a lot depends on where your head is in bed in relation to the fridge location. Some have a quiet/night setting, too. There's no faffing about changing between power sources with a compressor fridge, either, and no ugly vents on the outside
Pilote does offer a model without the rear seats but I'd worry about the resale value, with only the cab seats to sit in and no possibility of carrying more than one passenger
Personally don't see how flat cupboard doors cut out of a sheet and edge on a edgebander is luxury, will personally pay less for coloured sheets, must be roasting in hot weather been black having 20mm of insulation can see why it has 6kw heater for winter use.
They would get sue in the States. Never seen that. Odd that the Manufacturer allows it. Fiat is well respected in the Americas, it is after all a European brand.
@@edwardvalivonis23 If you want more berths, you can have the Pilote with a pop-top. If you want a shorter 'van, most makers (including Pilote) offer the 5.4m Fiat. But for a proper four-berth, I reckon something like the Dreamer Family Van or Living Van would be a much better bet
I can't think of an imported van with an underslung gas tank, they don't go for them. As for an oven, you can have one, but there are compromises in a van of this size
A lot of imported campervans have the sliding door on the offside. Owners don't seem to mind and this is only a two-berth. It's more of an issue for families
This was, by far, the best offering I've seen from PIlote, in the way of a van. Especially with the alternative layouts.
Without doubt the best reviewer on youtube 👍🏻
Thank you!
Great review Peter, is there a tv bracket or somewhere to add one, also is it possible to add a factory fitted microwave.
There is definitely a TV station - behind the half-dinette bench, I think. Not sure about a microwave - I doubt it - but you can have a version with a bigger fridge and a gas oven
Great spec van. Off grid camping made easier. Great review 👍
Good van but I'd like to see a review of the 6.36 metre version. Great review. 👍
Very nice van

Definitely need the oven option or maybe a microwave, if you had that it would be almost perfect 👍
Go for a gas oven - more useful than a microwave which can only be used when you're hooked up on a campsite.
Ma questo spettacolo di van ❤ si può avere anche con la guida normale a sinistra?
Yes, of course, but in the UK we want right-hand drive. They'll be left-hand drive in the rest of Europe
Would love to see a swift koni tiki sport review, shout out to Peterborough I live about 15 minutes from that site
Excellent van certainly one of the best, great video peter
Appreciate your comments, thanks!
Good van……would like to see the 6.36 metre.

There are loads like this on the market. If you want one with the sliding door on the UK side try the Adria Twin 600 SPB - a great van!
I'm just curious because I'm getting a van what does the side have to do with it why would that negatively effect your choice?
@@yessam1460 I think because in the UK, the sliding door would open to traffic rather than to the pavement. So it's a safety issue as rear passengers would have to exit into traffic.
Most wouldn’t consider the 140 engine an upgrade since it’s the entry level on virtually every Ducati pvc.
A lot have the 120bhp engine as standard (especially the German brands)

I have just been to the Pilote website and this van starts at £62.500 without the extras. I thought I'd found a real rival to the Adri vans.

Bricks really do make any sort of window fitment method irrelevant when it comes to security.
May I know what’s the price for high spec
As shown, it's £61,500

Definitely. Just compare it with similar Fiat-based campers

I always prefer a narrower van to get off the beaten track, so it would be the V600G for me, but the P626D has a lot more living space
Great van. Would much prefer a 3 way fridge. Compressor fridges in my experience are far too noisy when you are trying to sleep.

love the suntanned ankles lol
Get rid of the 2 rear seats, make the shower room a bit bigger and make the wardrobe bigger, there I've fixed it.

@@MotorhomeCampervan Having only 2 seats sounds perfect to me, only the wife and I could go, leave the kids behind, what a shame.
What’s the length please
5.99m, but they also do 5.41m and 6.36m versions
Ok but the draws under the bed aren’t much use as you’d have to keep moving the bed to access them.
The drawer that pulls out from the back of the van? It was easily accessible.
You'd access them from outside, through the back doors, surely?
@@peterv3642 But what if its raining? Which is typical in the UK,Gonna get a soaking while fiddling in your Drawers

At least you can spec it without them, unlike some models where the spec is fixed

Why do European Manufacturers change the name of the chassis manufacturer?
Are you referring to the badge on the grille? I think it's because Fiat is not seen as very premium when you're selling a vehicle at £60,000+
