All these brackets are weak points, i had the same problem. He didn't hit anything, its just wear and tear over time. There is a replacement kit that is a lot beefier
These brackets are the worst part of the Hustler design. I think the L brackets on the sides are the problem. They flex as the mower bounces over the ground, eventually breaking or causing the other brackets to break. After welding numerous breaks, I welded some stiffeners onto the L brackets to remove the flexing and I've had no problems since. It is a terrible design.
This damage is not from striking something, if it was you would see twisting and bending. This problem is from fatigue and a poor design. The bent plate from the transaxle to the frame was bent from the tabs being broken.
This was a great video for me. I had a Hustler that kept throwing the belt after about 10 seconds. Found a similar problem a fixed it right up Thanks so much!

I bought a Miller 211 back in 2010. Best money I ever spent! It was such a good welder I bought a 2nd 211 and both were used daily all day for over 8 years. No issues. Recently the 1st one's board stop activating the gas solenoid when on 240v. Still works fine on 120v. I bought a 215 while the 211 was getting diagnosed. Even if the first 211 had blown up years ago I'd still be impressed with the amount of hell I put it through.
❤ I’m hoping your enjoying new business.

Amazing job showing and detailing each step... Best such video I’ve ever seen. Thank you!

Good point. Plus, this is a residential mower being used daily for commercial use.
@@Mechanical_Mind Yeah that might do it, it may not break again now
@Bass.Player I'd guess the other side will break now. Oh well more $$ for me 🤣
