I am so glad I found this video. I have been having trouble with my belt popping off for a year and this solved my problem. Thank you so much for making this video!
So Hustler has admitted they have an issue with the frame design. They sell (but should offer for free ) a beefed up bracket kit to keep the frame from flexing. That's why his mounting bracket is cracked. When that flexing occurs the drive belt fans hit the drive belt , which breaks or derails the belt .
I had that problem alot on the Husqvarna mowers? The bearings for the tensioner assembly would seize up, and not allow for enough movement, throwing the belt all the time?
My center frame piece between the two hydro units is the culprit for me. Even with loctite the bolts keep coming loose and one wheel or the other will pitch wildly in at the top and blow the belt off (and destroy it). These belts are too pricey to rip up like this. It's happened to me twice now. Both sides are heavily red loctited and lock nutted. That being said, I'm in my ninth year with this unit (700+ hours) and everything else has been great.

Take the rear wheels off and check where the 2 hydrostatic motors mount to the frame. I also found small cracks that help. New video coming soon.
