Great video. Really appreciate the other products that you used to install your inverter. Helpful.
Great video Thank you!
Great video! I just want to mention...your channel description says "Somod road in Niagara Falls" but I know Niagara Falls fairly well. I don't know that one. Judging by the channel name however, I am assuming that's a typo. If it is, Here's me letting you know! 😋
@magnoliathebus good eye ! I'll change that brother. Appreciate it. Sloppy fingers bahaah

Those brackets did have a recall. But it seems that only the Raptor SD have upgraded brackets. The regular Raptors of the 2018 models have no replacement parts. All these videos are all about the SD's. Are you cutting wet grass all the time?
Take it through the car wash and then realize it's on the wrong side of the grill. It kind of sucks to put on and stay on . Card board may work better. Wish they designed it better. Thanks for the video

Most dealers won’t work on them now
@timradke7775 really ? Overall it was nice to work on . Mercedes shops should know as it's built off the om642 engine design.
I've seen two types of oil separator housings, one that is simply a 90 degree adapter that holds the rubber separator seal, and another that also holds a spring loaded rubber diaphragm that is supposed to "suck closed" when the turbo is pulling a lot of vacuum, so it doesn't simply pull oil vapor into the engine. The guy in this video ruclips.net/video/IoMXqaBMO6k/видео.html has the housing that doesn't seem to have the spring-loaded diaphragm, and he's tried several things, finally he routed the PCV line to the unfiltered side of the air filter housing. I think that may the best solution since oil and EGR gases form the tar that clogs up your intake runners and swirl flaps, and changing an air filter a little more often is a better price to pay. You just need to figure out how to fool the PCV sensor/valve where it connects to the current location.
You can thank the Bolshevik's at the EPA. They did the 'thinking' on diesel emission systems.

Nov 2024, love my 2019 Classic ECO Diesel oil changes & filters frequent and mostly road miles at about 22 to 2250 rpm. 3:92 gears. loves to cruise! Use fuel additive and good def fluid, catch can also. Don't let it idle very much! GDE compliant tune.
The proper Mobil 1 filter to replace the PF63 is an M1 212A. (I know this as they use the PF63 on their gas V8s as well). I like to replace them with M1 filter when I change the oil. They are better. Shell Rotella T6 full synthetic 15W-40 down in the south.

Whatsup brotha got a quick one for you. My electronic throttle body position light went off which then threw a check engine light code with it. As I lost power I noticed the oil temp needle would rise when I stepped on the gas pedal and then go back to center as I let off. I’m going to replace the pedal with the sensor to fix it but do you have any idea on what I should do to fix the oil temp sensor needle issue????
Great video, thanks a lot man! Going to entertain myself during Thanksgiving break. There are a few extra steps that are not required for this type of job but overall it gives full details about the scope of work. Pity I just changed oil 2 months ago, I guess at least I am going to need to refill a liter or two. Anyway, not too bad, all dealers I spoke with were going to charge me $800+ for this work.
@@rvadim76 glad I could help!
44.00 for an AC Delco here in the States. If you can't change your fuel filter, change your oil , differential fluids, Transfer Case are you a Man? Nope your a beta male.
Strange. I’m also a JL, LU 51. also have a 2022 Cummins but mines a 3500, you called that thing a split bolt. We just call that a Kearney 😂 Lineman terminology is funny, changes everywhere. Here a split bolt is at the top of the pole between the ridge pin bolts to help the pole from splitting out when a tree falls on it. Also, the orange jumpsuit was dead giveaway (besides the logo I just seen) that you were Canadian. I’ve worked with some of yall in Detroit before.
i closed the EGR on my old Maxima. Then i read about it and there is a whole laundry list of reasons for having that, including long term durability of the engine. It sounds counter intuitive, but injecting half burned hot air in the engine actually decreases the maximum burning temps inside the engine, which is particularly important in towing. Today I think the intake buildup is the smaller devil and if everything else is good in the engine it is not that big a deal to remove and clean the intake. I have a 2022 Ecodiesel with 17 000 miles and plan on chaning the oil on 3 000 miles and drive it stock as long as it can. No tunes no nothing on this one.
Torque specs are on the filter housing.
Did this today. Worked out well. No leaks. Truck drives perfectly.
Gapless piston rings... If you're not going to do a delete the gapless rings will drastically reduce oil contamination plus a provent BUT!!!! Before you plumb from that provent back into the intake, buy a small transmission cooler stick it up front and pipe it through there making sure to run the pipe in a way so the oil will have to run up hill and install a T with a ball valve. The provent DOES NOT FILTER ALL THE OIL VAPOR!!! It really does like 50% you can get the rest of it out by condensing it through a small radiator. I do this with my 2018 GMC Terrain with a 1.6 diesel and I'm telling you when I change my oil it is no longer diesel snot black! It just looks like slightly burnt oil more like in a gasoline engine when you go like 10k without changing your oil. Next mod I'm working on a EGR filter since I cannot delete mine.
have you had any issues out of your truck im thinking of getting one like yours my 2023 f250 has been a lemon with multiple issues
so far so good. bit of a clunk in the front left now. dealer magically cant hear it of course LOL. it'll be going back and wont be returning till its fixed. might strap a gopro and good microphone down there to get it for playback. dealerships suck .

If you want to do this, the easiest way possible, Get an easy valve off of Amazon and attach a clear tube to it.. Run the oil right into an old DEF jug. Not one drop on the ground. then you take the jug to recycle.. Wrap a gallon baggie around the filter after you crack it loose. All the oil goes in the baggie, And you are off and running. 20 min tops...
smart!
Did you ever, I'm sure you did, change the coolant and what did you use? I've gotten myself all confused over types and fluid specs somehow
never had to I had a valve leak over the years. I stopped using expensive OAT coolant. Nothing changed. no overheating etc. I think its a marketing BS
If I block my egr off will I need a tune? I disconnected the pipe running to the low pressure EgR and it didnt through a code.
yes you will. it will eventually.
Brother I can’t thank you enough for creating this video! Completed this awful task yesterday and with some patience and help from God, I managed to get the new sensor and bolt in place! I hope I never have to replace another sensor in my 2016 Jeep Compass as I have also replaced both of the camshaft position sensors as well. I had the same issue as you with my Jeep just shutting down without warning on the road. Got it all fixed! Thanks again from San Antonio!
you got it brother. God Bless you and yours
I must be one of the luckier Ram owners out there because I have a 2015 eco diesel with 174,650 miles (281,070 km) and my truck is still running fine. No modifications to the original engine configuration except to delete failed EGR & DPI (after ~150,000 miles or 241,000 km) but is otherwise original. I am still seeing very minimal oil usage, have excellent compression and fuel economy. I have been adhering to the factory recommendation of 10,000 mile (16,100 km) oil changes with filter and Shell Rotella T-6 full synthetic 5w-40. Nothing else, except a cam shaft sensor failure at ~148,000 miles that was covered by Ram thru a recall of some sort. I pull a 5000 lb travel trailer with this truck ~3500 miles (5600 km) each year, give or take. 19-21 mpg pulling trailer; 38-40 mpg otherwise. That's ~8.5 km/l (if I did my math right) pulling trailer, 16.5 km/l otherwise. This has been a very good truck for a lot of years so far. I've read about changing oil & filter every 3,000-5,000 miles but I stuck with Ram's recommendation and have a strong engine after nearly 10 years of operation, averaging 15,000 miles per year. This engine is better than a lot of people have been claiming. IMO, it was the add-on EGR & DPI required by EPA that harmed this engine. I live in a Northern state.
The instructions that came with this thing is shit. Thats why im here now. I bout the trailer also. There are parts for the trailer in the sawmill, and parts for the sawmill in the trailer lol
whyeeeeeee hahahhaa
Well damn I have one and I am going through the same issue
I got through 5qt a week and idk where it’s going 🤷🏼♀️
Yo brother! Thanks for making the Jeep Compass vids! I’m currently replacing my crankshaft and camshaft sensors as well as my transmission fluid (2016 Compass) and brakes! Whew! I doubt you probably still own the Jeep but I am now less stressed about doing these repairs. I purchased the brake pads/rotors kit from your link yesterday…not sure if you still get something back from the company or not but wanted to let you know. Thanks again from San Antonio, TX! BTW, I’ve visited Ontario and the falls years ago….so lovely up there and you guys are so friendly! We have that here in San Antonio as well! Cheers!!
Great video!! Very helpful because just got a 2021 Denali 3.0 and it's close to needed the fuel filter replaced. The dealer told me to do it every two oil changes but it's already going for it's third oil change and the percentage is barely going to hit 40 percent but the truck is rarely ever driven. Mainly for long travel because of the mpg I get but thank you once again. It looks easy and simple and will be doing this myself.
