Thank you...thank you for the video!!! I just bought the R6 and I couldn't get my flash to work! Thanks to your video...I was able to get it to work by deselecting the electronic shutter!!
I spent several hours troubleshooting why my new R6 mk2 with XPro II and V860III don't play together. The TTL was way off. Then I ended up here and checked the trigger's hotshoe seating. I didn't notice any obvious problems there, but installing the trigger again more carefully made the flash work as expected. Thanks!
Bingo! I was getting ready to return my just purchased V860III-C and ProC trigger as both were acting intermittently - I could flash the flash from the remote, but not from the R7 camera. I paid attention again to how the trigger was placed into the hot shoe and it worked right away. Flash indicator showed up on screen as well. Thanks a million - hoping it's fixed for good.

I was having a very strange issue, never noticed it when using the pro trigger, but today when using the 860III or V1 directly on body the flash would fire when the shutter was half pressed, then the camera would just lock up. Had to turn off and on again and then same issue repeated. Seemed being in the dark caused it. So sure enough I turn the AF assist to LED only and it seems no issues after! A life saver since nowhere online did I see this issue, and in none of the godox documentation does it say anything. For me though the flash needs to be pushed all the way into the hot shoe, the "first click" actually causes a bad connection.
Interesting, for me the LED only and first click worked. I guess people can play with the passion of the flash but the "AF assist LED only" is essential.
@@juliankrakow Absolutely, I cant believe this issue is not more wide spread. I guess most photographers are not using in a dark situation, or have AF Assist turned off already as to not distract subjects.

In addition to the err70 error, on r7, my godox v1 flash and the x2t transmitter, sometimes another glitch occurs: the flash and the transmitter simply stop seeing each other. Everything works, the channel is the same, but suddenly the connection seems to be lost. I haven't fully understood the nature of this yet, but so far it's being fixed by changing channels to any other. The firmware on all devices is the most up-to-date. Manual works fine but in TTL the flash(es) fire but only on the lowest power leaving image very under exposed. Have you run into this issue? If so, do you know how to fix? Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. I mostly shoot in Manual on my flash so I haven't run into this issue. I had a look on my r6 MK II which has the same hot shoe (don't have the R7 at the moment) and everything works fine in TTL. Have you tried adding more power manually in the TTL mode?
@@juliankrakow Thanks for getting back to me. Much appreciated! Manual works fine and adding power won’t help. I need TTL for event shooting in situations where distance to subject is close and subjects are constantly moving.
@@alexnrs8700 Hmm, the only reason I can think of, why your flash isn't communicating with the camera in TTL is that the hot shoe and the pins aren't aligning properly. For manual flash only one pin is needed to trigger it so that's why it works in your case. Did you try sliding the flash slightly and trying to lock it in different positions on the hot shoe?
@juliankrakow, hi, since you are using r6 mark2 with Godox V1C, when the V1C is used as a slave unit while the Godox trigger is on the hotshoe, do you face issues with high speed sync when your shutter speed is higher than 1/250 (outdoor shooting- fill up flash light on moving subject)
I'm told by our local Canon dealer, here in Kolkata India, that the ADE1 adapter from Canon solves the problem. Eg. if you pit the adapter on the hotshot and then fix the Godox trigger on the said adapter, the trigger communicates with the Godox flash (which is in slave mode). It seems that both TTL & HSS work simultaneously. Any ideas or experiences, anyone..
