    Best vid for this task EVER! Simple, regular guy worki'n hard to get the job done. Love the simplicity. I am doing a total front suspension job on my son's compass with only 115K miles, and you are ABSOLUTELY right! IT IS A PIECE OF SH!T.

      @@--Valek-- In 6 months I have replaced: water pump, alternator, alternator support bracket, 2 thermostats, lower control arms, inner and outer tie rods front wheel bearings and it's in the shop again for the famous no start/no crank condition caused by water in relay boxes. My advice: SELL, SELL, SELL! My son is upside down with the loan by about $4K, so he doesn't have that option.

    Absolute best mechanic video ever. And absolutley correct about those things being total pieces of shit. I bought a 2015 a year ago for my wife. I have replaced the PCM, crankshaft sensor, both camshaft sensors, abs wheel speed sensors, and its like every bushing is fucked in a very short amount of time. Total shit. Thanks for the info. I have to do this very same job right now on both sides of my compass so this video was everything that i needed to hear. TIME TO BUST SOME NUTS!!! Giggity.

    When you called it a POS I felt that in my soul. I’ve worked on this car (my girlfriends) as long as we’ve been dating. It’s been dubbed the big red turd

    You don't need to pay for alignment you can do it your self using a string tighten the string from the middle of the rear tire and get it straight with the front tire.
    I do it that with my cara all the time and I get it perfect
    I never pay for alignment.

    Good video but I disagree about the vehicle being junk. I have a 2015 Renegade and have had zero problems with it. It's been great..😊

      They just don't have longevity, and are Fiats now which aren't known for being great..Im sure with proper maintenance they can last a good while but the problems I've had with them after less than 7 years of life is disheartening.

    I would assume it would be similar on a jeep renegade however the dealer says tie rod ends are non serviceable and to replace the whole rack and pinion

    • @bobaganoosh88
      @bobaganoosh88  3 года назад

      Weird because they're normal ends on this one. Maybe the renegade is different.

      Especially considering that mevotech makes aftermarket inner and outer tie rod ends so surely they fit??

    Nice video! You gave me the confidence to install the lower control arms on my 2012 Compass! I am fairly good at working on things but never dabbled in auto mechanics. Do you think i’ll need an alignment after installing the control arms? Also, do you just tighten to where you think its good or do you torque everything?!

    • @bobaganoosh88
      @bobaganoosh88  Год назад +1

      Sometimes i will torque stuff down but on these I get them tight and send em.

    • @bobaganoosh88
      @bobaganoosh88  Год назад +1

      You shouldn't need an alignment unless you changed the tie rod ends. The control arms I believe are non adjustable.
