    I bought this case in March 2023 and freaked out because it didn't come with the brackets to fit my AIO, but it turns out that Fractal have changed the top of the case to give more clearance for the radiator & fans

    Had the same case and also did a custom loop in it (soft tube). I had two 240 rads in it with an ek 120 flt D5 with a side bracket on the front radiator. Keep up the great work bro and stay safe.

      what'd you end up building?

    • @grantmiller4646
      @grantmiller4646 Год назад

      @@xtogames2272I ended up with a white Fractal Pop XL air case, Ryzen 7 7700x. I game at 4k so the CPU is less as important to me as the GPU. I went with a 4090 because I found a good deal on it. -$200 Canadian. Which took me by surprise. I went into the store looking for a 7900 xtx and found sale on the 4090. T-Force 32 gb ram @6000 Mhz and LS520 AIO.
      Everything went well with the build with the exception of the case fan connections and the AIO. The manual was not very helpful so it took me a couple of days just to do that last part. Ugghh. Why doesn't PC Centric have a video on that? WHY??!!

    I'm currently doing a build in this exact case, with an EK X240M rad in the front, and a P240M in the top. Took alot of time using a dremel to make the radiator fit in the front because it's mahoosive, but hopefully it works first time round! 13600K with the Quantum Velocity2 block on it, and a 4090 with the Quantum Vector2 on :D FLT80 pump-res combo made to fit with 2 seperate EK brackets above the GPU

    Great video, Im so glad you showed the potential problems with the Corsair Shift PSU and certain cases. It would have been slightly better if they had made the connectors going into the psu vertizal instead of horizontal as at the moment, the bend on the cables would be sideways if ya know what I mean.

    Try to limit your FPS in The Wither 3 when using RT. Whether in game or MSI Afterburner/Riva Tuner I'm sure its the RT. Its easier to see with a FrameTime graph, but I like the way you use the 1% lows to tell whats going on. Can't you turn on Reflex for the Latency issue in the racing game? Great build. Interesting to see a Pro struggle with building. I actually game on the floor and use a controller on any game outside of FPS for that reason. Using a 4k 65" TV as well.

      That’s a really good PC you got there. If there is a bottleneck the 3D v cache will not help it really. The vast majority of games don’t benefit from more cache. Clock speed and IPC is the most important thing in the vast majority of games. The 3D v cache is likely to have less of a performance increase as the 5800x3d had as well.

      @@chriscache1337 If you are going with a RTX 4080 I heavily recommend a I7 13700k. It has significantly more cache that will give you more performance in your games. Memory is probably the bottleneck more than the 7700x. Some small tweaks make a MASSIVE difference in games. Mainly tuning trfc and trefi. With the 7700x build I did some games like Warzone and games with RT had massive gains just from tuning trfc to 480 and trefi to 65000. ActualHardcoreOverclocking on youtube has a video of easy Ryzen settings for DDR5 on ASUS boards. Also turn dlss off and just use frame generation and it smooths out witcher. TBH you're likely going to have to go Intel if you don't want a bottleneck with Ray Tracing. My 12700k build has no issues with bottlenecking.

    should have gone with Fractal Norse instead. Similar size, looks much better for a living room.

    It seems like the Witcher 3 stutters bad with ray tracing on unless you turn on Nividia Reflex or AMD Anti-Lag. That is how it has been for awhile now.

    Just happy to see someone still building pc's for entertainment. Seems like all the other channels aren't building them anymore, just talking about pc news, and that's boring.

      That’s because most of the PC builds were geared towards the low end and mid range consumers. The PC market has been bad for those segments since 2020. A lot of the PC people got a lot of flake for always building expensive PC’s that there audience could not afford.

    Try setting the foliage visibility range to medium in the witcher 3. Seen a lot of people saying that helps with the stuttering!

    Watching build videos like this makes me think that case manufacturers are not giving us good options but rather outdated ones. The most important component to cool and - if applicable to you - show off is clearly the graphics card, yet it only gets a fingers breadth to get its air from and exhausts most of it into a glass window.. that’s far from ideal. We also get a cpu that we wont ever see and that’s also in the backseat of importance nowadays presented prominently but in reality we then look at pipes and a pump 😅. 😂

    The AP201 now also comes with a glass side panel. I run mine with a 280 rad at the top, which leaves room for the ATX PSU, also, if you wanted to go watercooling your GPU, you can fit another 280 rad at the bottom* fro a nice chimey air flow (or 2 120mm case fans (one on the lower front, one in the back) for both radiators as intakes and a traditional horizontal airflow...). This case is so much better than this cheap pop box from fractal, I highly recommend it. Also, it's not expensive at all. *With the waterblock installed, there is enough room.

    Hi. Just curious why you went for AMD over Intel? Genuine query as you seem to have favoured Intel in other builds.
