I want to buy a gaming and work PC and have £2500 to spend but as I'm not up on all the components and compatibility etc. What the best way to make sure I'm getting the best bang for my buck and make sure I have options for future upgrades. Do I just have to dig in and do a load of research?
Honestly if you don't want the headache and just want something that works then I would recommend a prebuilt system from someone like Scan Computers. With your budget you'll definitely get something decent.
@@domainofscience I would recommend pcspecialist. They offer some really good prices and all you have to do is config the options you want and they will actually build it for you. for instance, i managed to configure it to £2,489.00. That's with a Ryzen 9 7900x3d, 16gb DDR5 5200mhz ram and a 4070ti.
Hey thanks for the guide. I actually came here because I’ve built 1 pc on my life. It was a high end gaming pc I built over 10 years ago. I wanted to use this guide because when I built it I had huge problems with the fist boot-up and the funny part is it was the same type of bios issues you ran into in making this. Now I suppose I should just accept that it’s inevitable. Lol. I used your shopping cart and wanted to mention the chip wasn’t in there, and no power supply either. Total build cost is ~4K
It is worth mentioning that most of Phantek's cases do not come with a reset switch or activity LED's (Not that either is really needed but for a case that costs $130 US I'd expect it too) except for their high end cases like the Elite and Pro Series

I found your channel recently, and it has helped me learn so much about building a PC, I’ve devicided to start saving and I will soon buy my own. Maybe you could make a tutorial video for a build similar to what I’m getting? 👀
Hello. I want to buy i5-13600k or i7-13700k. But my preference is to spend less money. For me, it is only important that the software does not lag or get stuck and the speed is low when working for 3D work and heavy rendering. Long output time is not important to me. I wanted to make sure if the i5-13600k can run 3D programs and rendering for heavy tasks smoothly and without problems. thank you.
im not the creator, but if you want to spend less money i would recommend the ryzen 3000-5000 series or intel core 10000-12000 series, yes it isnt the latest, but if your on a budget, its not a bad choice, and should be able to do most you need it to do. im writing this comment with dreams of a gaming pc with an i5-4590, and even that can run blender, yes, it does take time to render, but that is why i recommended what i did.

I got all the speed I need gaming on a Ryzen 9 5900X, RX6700XT, 64 GB RAM. My 2nd gaming PC is the same but with an RTX3070Ti. I have brand new Sapphire Radeon RX5700XT Nitro+, and a Powercolor Red Devil RX6700XT GPUs still in their boxes. I might build another system with a Ryzen 7 3700X I have laying around using the RX5700XT. My gaming monitor is an LG 32" that's only 165 Hz max. No need to do build anything faster than that.
I bought a new motherboard recently and as I was waiting for the new cpu to arrive I look up the motherboard and compatibility with the cpu only to find out I needed to flash the bios, this I must after many years building my own pcs I have never needed to do, so I read that I could just do it with just power supply connected not even in the case, so I did it just resting on the packaging box, so put the bios onto the usb followed the instructions which actually said do not have the cpu, mem or ssd connected as may cause issues, so flashed it like you did holding the button then waiting for light to stop flashing, got the cpu in the post set it all up and it was perfectly fine, maybe that was the issue you had?
If you go into the advanced tab you can set your defaults in there for the paper size so you never have to set it again.. doing it any other way will cause you issues..

I'm building something similar when I can get my hands on the last piece (which is the 7950x3d) but mine has a Corsair shift 1200 watt psu and arctic freezer 2 aio and a 7900xtx as the gpu instead of the 4090. All AMD rig. Can't wait to get the last piece to build it.
This case is not good. The amount of dust it pulls in is insane. Cleaning daily, considering to change it. Also with 4090 you can’t put fans inside panel and that sux as it’s dead space / had to use screens instead so again planning to change the case. Had exactly the same issue with motherboard and then got new one and RAM would only work with slot 1 and 2 and only different ram brands - bizarre . So getting different motherboard and different case for sure.
Been wanting to do my first build and I've been looking for a nice, all black/RGB look and this is perfect! I had your channel come up on my feed yesterday and I have to say, I really like your energy and content! Thanks for the great videos! One question I had in regards to the 4090 and space. Does it seen like there's room in there for a larger non-FE 4090? Like say ASUS TUF Gaming OC 4090? The Founder's 4090 is 304mm and the Asus is 348mm so I wasn't sure if I could fit that in this build as I can get it for almost $300 cheaper.

I have this same setup but in a Hyte Revolt 3. Im getting above 100 FPS but I'm not getting 99% GPU utilization. Are you? Any idea why I'm not? I'm running a 750 watt PSU and I usually get 85% Max utilization

Is there a way you can help me through my purchases? I already purchased the 7950x3d but I can return it. I plan on playing at 4k on 4090 and streaming here and there. Should I return it and go with the 7800x3d? Which is more future proof as well? This is my first build
