Is it just me or am I the only one that thinks the 4090 strix looks gaudy? Personally it makes a beautiful build look kind of cheaper. Other than that its a great build!

You should NOT be wearing a ring and building the PC at carpet. These can generate static static electricity and killed your motherboard.
Have you ever experienced it?
Unlikely. Modern components are much better protected against static discharge than in the past. I've been building systems for over 30 years and have not had a problem with static discharge for well over 20. Although, I would agree about the ring because it could easily get caught on something.
