I love it when Chris chats about hip hop, he knows his stuff and so passionate about the art.
Agreed! Many of my talking points come from him
One of the GOATS of comedy. Still funny AF. Can't wait for that Netflix special.
Yasiin a conversation at the bar between him and Seinfeld would be ill
Yasiin facts
a lot of the recent netflix specials have been brutally disappointing imo
He's doing a Netflix special!? need see this his tour live though
Marcus Hudson no man can say no to netflix money
Just his voice makes me think of 'Everybody Hates Chris' lol
Yah YahYah Yah Yah that's bc the show was abt his life growing up
I am aware Ethan...
ethan lawson k
ethan lawson L
Is that cuffboys mom in your avatar?? 😭😭😭 mom reacts lady
He has a great perspective on every topic, this mans a Genius
Rashid Osundiya I have to agree he has perspectives on things even beyond what I have thought I think about everything deeply!!!
Born Sinner will forever be my favorite album. Yall keep sleeping on my guy Cole
Everybody hates Chris still one of the best series
Preach!
@Jarrel Ely that's tough. They both in my top 5 black sitcoms.
"when you're black, the futures always better" smiling hard af like they gon eat me for this!
Yeah when he said that I was like huh?! Tell that to the 15 year old honor student who was just murdered by the police in Dallas Saturday night. I think he'd say that his past was better.
Kanhwiyonne the problem with making statements like that is that its subjective. There are many statistics that show it getting worse for black people as a whole. I mean, i understand what he is saying in general, but it depends on which lens you view "better" through.
i can give you one without doing any research: the incarceration rate, which has exploded disproportionately for black people in the last 40 or so years. Mind you, incarceration is legal slavery, as stated by the constitution. I wasn't really tryna do any heavy thinking about this comment, but you keep challenging me, and its making me think of several ways in which I'm right. Just agree to disagree. i think you think I'm attacking Chris Rock, but I'm not. He's a very smart man, but that doesn't mean he's never wrong.
Kanhwiyonne see above
Jontae Grace most black people in jail actually committed the crime they were arrested for.
Why is Chris Rock acting like he's not one of the all time greats? Of course people will line up to see Chris Rock. He's a comedy legend.
It's called being humble
tayottt C'mon man, HUMBLE, wasn't just for competitors it was a message too, it's an attitude, and movement, know your spot, but always stay humble about it
Ceejayen I couldn't say it fast enough lol.
tayottt i was blessed to see chris rock a few weeks ago had me crying# legend
Cole Talk at 13:14 and 27:00 He explains how big of a Cole Fan he is
His basketball analogy regarding the childish way some liberals stomp their feet is the most prolific statement on the subject I have heard
William Claytor I agree it was hands down a great analogy.
If liberals ever stopped complaining to the refs and started playing ball they could go back to winning some battles like they used to.
he's always been amazing with social commentary
Shoutout to the upvoters that don't know what prolific means!
WOW the insight Chris Rock has on life is amazing! I would love to have a guy like that in my circle. The way he talked about DMX was so real I swear.
HOT97 has been bringing fiyah interviews lately....
Moses Matovu Yep
Moses Matovu lately or for the last decade. You know same thing
misterlondoner just lately...
Just a brilliant mind. He's always thought about things differently
CHRIS Rock hit the nail on the head with the J. Cole & Kendrick comparison. Both of very similar ilk. Just different modes and means of expressing their art and regional as well as different industry ties
@Jarrel Ely lol no
J Cole has jay z
Chris Rock looks 27 years old.
keith patterson He hasn't aged.
Damn Chris droppin sum bombs! Creative people need 2 be alone sum timez, not livin 4 your crew but 4 yourself!!! 🎤🎤🔥🔥🔥🎤🎤🎤
Great Interview, Chris Rock is Brilliant and says what People with Common sense think all the Time. God Bless you Chris Rock. And Showin Cole Love. 👍. Dreamville. Respects Real Artistry
My top 3 right now: 1. Chris Rock 2. Dave Chapelle 3. Bill Burr (I'm very aware dave is the goat, but it's my opinion kid)
bruh.... i saw andre 3000 at my job & told him to make a twitter .. he dubbed it :(
Richh T of all the things you could've asked him, that was the question you went with? Smh.
Richh T u get a once in a life time chance to meet one half of hip hops most influential creative duos n u ask him to make a twitter....😂💀
dude im so mad at you lol out of all the questions to ask one of the GOAT's, u asked him to make a twitter smh
That's like asking Nas is mayonnaise an instrument
i would have asked him what creative mind set and what things was he going through during the process of recording "The Love Below" but hey.....
What is said about greed and enjoying time away from 'not missing anything' hits home. Thx
Chris Rock is actually a genius.
Chris Rock is dropping some serious wisdom in this interview..had me giving the poetry snaps! Love it!
"Amy Schumer's my newest friend." ... Expect her to tell a joke about being a middle aged divorced black male in her next show.
Wow. Have to comment again. Chris Rock is a genius bro. His perspective is always unique, hilarious, and logical somehow.
This Another Fool To Add To The " Doesn't Age/Age's Like Once Every 10yrs " Club , They Already Got Pharrell , Eminem , Nas , Beyoncé & T.I . . . .
Chris looks sooo good for his age
Vicky Powell ....52; shittttt
Vicky Powell Hell yes! He barely seems to have aged at all
Vicky Powell black dont crack
BJ Blazkowicz so true
Chris Rock interview game is top 5
Basically what I heard at 13:55
"CHRIS PLEASE CONFIRM MY OPINION SO IT'S LEGITIMATE"
FACTSS great artists need to be alone sometimes in order to come out with great work!! Chris is very insightful.
Kendrick Lamar is definitely in the conversation, he surpassed a lot of MC's already.
Also Kendrick Lamar can fit in any era in my opinion as can maybe a J. Cole. The 90's were the best era for Hip-Hop in my opinion because most fans CRAVED that real, gritty yet conscious music, which is what Kendrick Lamar delivers consistently.
TPAB is Kendrick's best album, behind DAMN.
Darryl Jenks
Damn, then GKMC
Darryl Jenks In this era Kendrick is great in the 90's with real spitters he would be iight or good.
bsinatra145 he would've been the Drake of that era. He's lyrical when compared to today's rappers, but when he's compared to 90s rappers he is more melodic. I don't think he would start singing or anything but he wouldn't be seen as a master lyricist. Cole is the only other mainstream artist besides Kendrick that could flourish in the 90s. Cole can story tell with the best of em.
Alex Castro I love the debate though.
Andrew Gutierrez Redundant statement.
Must make those hosts nervous knowing Chris Rock could tear their heads off anytime he wanted to.
04mzwach share with the class
***** They're live on the radio so he could roast them and literally take over the show and make them look like fools if he wanted to. Great comedians like him know how to do that. That's why they can do nothing but respect him. :)
the women on the left can't even follow the conversation
Really good interview. Felt more like a podcast conversation than an interview.
That Skit he did on Rick Ross' album was the funniest shit I heard all year.
realest gem in this interview is from 41:00 .....Chris talks about how downtime, resting and being alone is very important.
Chris Rock is always the voice of reason for America.
Freaking love Chris rock he should do a stand up tour with George cedric and d.l or a solo one want to see him live
Kendrick and Cole talk at 22.10...thank me now
Shain Issa I would've if you wrote the time right 22:10
Shain Issa he talks about Kendrick at 13:22 also
Thanks Shain 👋🏽
Shain Issa Thanks. I'll make sure to skip that part. Kendrick is so overrated.
Josh Foster boy fuck you
Kendrick @13:14 👍🏿
I dont know why but i can watch chris rock interviews all day. Like his opinion his word is trustworthy. When he talks it just make sense.
Also he got the inside scoops and he knows everyone thats worth knowing. Tribe, eddie murphy, dave chappelle. He is old school but he so open to new thinking.
One of the best interviews i watched or heard lately. I think it even helped me on a personal level i didn't expect to (the new friends part). Thanks, y'all. Thanks Chris
weiss1377 ur welcome I'm Chris rock in disguise
this guy does a great interview
best interview in a while
1- George Carlin & Patrice O'neal share the crown
2- Paul Mooney, should be 1 too but makes no real difference
3- Eddie Griffin, Chris Rock & Dave Chapelle for real nigga shit
4- Bill Burr and early Louis C.K. ginger combo
4- Russell Peters and Jim Jefferies
Boom!
I love Chris. I spotted him walking in Georgetown DC.
CLOSE YOUR EYES.....YOU WILL SEE A ZEBRA
Black really don't crack. This dude doesn't age.
Liam Dixon he looks so young 😩
27:08 - There's always that awkward pause from radio personalities when one says this about Cole
Rosario Dawson is the most overrated looking woman in hollywood. Ronda Rousey in sports. They make like they look like Selma Hayek something.
sainttrunks1982 go fuck urself
Finally someone who agrees that Pride is an amazing song! You can feel so much from that song, words can't describe how I feel when I listen to it.
He looks like a old 30 year year old man lol
I have some instrumentals on my channel for anyone that records music. A lot of production inspired by Cole, Joey, Logic, Kendrick and so on. I'm also releasing another J. Cole inspired instrumental in 2 or 3 hours. I've been producing for over 5 years now and I'm really trying to get it off the ground so thank you to anyone that supports.
Khalid Mxsic you got some dope stuff
Alvaro Elias Hey bro, yeah sure most of my "Weeknd" & "Drake" style instrumentals are quite R&B, I also have a funk instrumental that I recently released titled "Tha Homies", if that's what you mean. Thanks for listening!
soundcloud.com/exdontstop/blk-cloud-feat-darren-peralta
Khalid Mxsic Sup Khalid!!! love your beats man
When did Kendrick start producing?
Damn I need this video to be like 20 hours longer. I could listen to Chris Rock talk all day.
The games documentary 2 and 2.5 is the business! N listen to kendricks album backwards. Like from last track to the first !!!! 💯💯💯😤😤😤😤
For some reason.... I just don't like them. Ebro barely, I do mean barely, passes but these two. 🙄 Issa a no ✋🏾 for me dawg. Love CR tho!
finally Cole gets recognized, you guys sleep on him too much
Alvaro Elias Too much hate for no reason though
Alvaro Elias Just because people consider Kendrick better than him doesn't mean he deserves to get shitted on. Nobody has ever done that with Pac and Biggie or Jay and Nas.
***** OK but not more than half of people. And most of these people don't even listen to his music so it's not subjective. They're just hating because it's the cool thing to do.
TheAssyrianking j.Cole is in the top 3 along with Kendrick idk who takes the third slot
agreed
I agree with Chris that neither should have been able to run for POTUS. Americas political system sucks
chris rock at 44 min said the realest shit ive heard all year
Theres an ad before this is a commercial of a dog and the first words are this is rosenburg
Chrissy The Black
CHRIS HERE'S MY TOP 5
CHAPPELLE
MURPHY
ROCK
MACK
HARRIS
DG FILMS Rock ahead of Bernie Mac? Smh.
DG FILMS redd foxx Richard Pryor?
Darryl Jenks you high as hell,
Richard Pryor .. Bill Hicks .. Chris Rock
***** what a dumb ass question
Saw Chris in Nashville when he started this tour. He's still one of the kings!!
Chris rock vs Steve Harvey?
Chris Rock is 52 years old. I've seen older-looking 20 year olds.
Why have we forgotten RICHARD PRYOR who gave birth to ALL THESE GUYS??? He has to be in the top 3 at least.
Dude, I've been saying about DMX what Chris said. I'm in a break room and just blurted out "oh shit! and pointed at my phone like an idiot lol.
Eating dinner with ur kids , picking up ur moms prescription is writing too. word.
"bill Cosby when he keeps his hand to em self" lmao
Rock's critic of the left is on point.
This is why Chris is a must see. So much sense spoken
The women on these radio shows have no valuable opinion. Angie martinez the only one that understood the insides and outs of hip hop/rap...they need to hire someone who does this
1. Chris Rock
2. Bernie Mac
3. Dave Chappelle
4. Patrice O'Neal
5. Corey Holcomb
6. Paul Mooney
MC Gusto in the house
great interview
CR is still the funnest man in America. he is way funner than kevin hart.
One thing that bothers me about our community is we're content as long as the hate isn't directed towards us ... Don't complain when whites don't speak out against systemic racism when the majority of our community think someone proposing a Muslim ban isn't a "huge deal "
That's because a lot of people think white people shouldn't talk about black issues because "they cant understand" which makes things worse because it prevents open conversation and healing and it adds more tension and division. But obviously there are a lot of white people who don't know what the fuck they're talking about or don't care. But either way people need to communicate even if you don't want to.
jaziilean truth
jaziilean the Muslim has nothing to do with us unless ur a black Muslim
jfraz1992 Ironically your validating my point ... Sadly humans are tribalistic creatures . We are only passionate about our own particular group hence racism exists . That's how slavery occurred , people where content because it wasn't there race being subjected to inhumane living standards . If your willing to watch other groups endure systemic racism and not vocalise your disgust you too are afflicted by the same primitive tribalism that plagues the white community . It's rather odious to state your not oppose to other melanin enfused brothers and sisters dealing with overt racism because it Dosent affect you .... Abhorrent vile behaviour . In my eyes your a sell out and a sub conscious advocate of white supremacy
jaziilean That's the problem with brain washed black folks like you that just accept whatever the white liberal tells them.
It wasn't a "Muslim" ban. You need to learn to think for yourself. 90% of Muslim countries weren't even part of the ban. It's crazy you can allow yourself to be so ignorant when the truth is plainly obvious.
Chris Rock is not lying about Amy Schumer because I seen him outside back stage at the Apollo and I was excited I thought he was relaxing before his show... I turn that corner on 125th and it says Amy Schumer was headlining that night I was like Chris Rock FELL IN LOVE WITH THE COCOA THAT WHITE
It is impossible to look at Chris Rock and not think... "How much for an order of ribs?"
can't wait for that netflix special
I love how they hear Chris Rock and listen to his point of view and just go with it. So ridiculous. Too bad most people haven't lived enough life or have enough perspective like Chris or Dave Chappelle. Good on you Chris. I don't think Trump or Hillary should have been up there.
just here 4 kenny and cole .
Damn Chris rock is a genius. That democrat republican basketball bit was PERFECT
DMX is still and always will be one of the greatest to me. I'm saying it now and I don't want anyone to later accuse me of tip-riding or bandwagon jumping when that time comes.
5 _consecutive albums straight to number 1_ . Try deny that.
It's also annoying hearing people say "if only DMX would get clean", X has ALWAYS been on drugs and liquor and he was dropping seismic albums. His issues are deeper than that.
X vs k-solo?
@@jarrelely1126 DMX all day. I like X's style, energy, and flow as well as his content.
@@Agnelum1
1 DMX
2 DMC
3 X-clan
4 Sadat X
5 Busta Rhymes
@@jarrelely1126 Can only respect that list. I like that Busta gets a mention coz he's an ill MC who doesn't get his recognition (I feel).
@@Agnelum1 busta been a above average mc since 91 honorable mention to Grand puba
chris rock know the truth about cole
Dropping gems all over this interview.
Yooo Rosenberg losing weight faster than my dad losing hair
I'm too early for time stamps :(
Chris rock has pure accuracy on most topics cole and kendrick are hiphop deep rooted great interview much love
Cole made an effort to be more like Kendrick.. you can see it in how he structured his last 2 albums .. you can tell GKMC inspired him a lot.. Kendrick >>>> J Cole by the way
Such a great interview/conversation. Can listen to Chris Rock all day.
Thank you for Chris Rock, God. Thank you.
Very interesting conversation. Rock is one intelligent dude.
"no new friends?? None?? what kind of dumb shit is that?"
THANK YOU CHRIS!
listening to chris just made my whole damn weekend. now i wanna go watch top 5 again... or maybe even head of state lol
Chris Rock probably one of the realist celebrities ever, he's mad funny and knows alot!
Who's better live?
Snoop or Busta?
Snoop
Where's Ebro ?
"rims hella big tires skinny like chris rock"-lil wayne
HELLA SAUCE Wayne been trash since carter III
joey faoro d5 and sorry for the wait 2 he went off on those
No Ceilings was dope
Samuel B TRU AF
HELLA SAUCE the last best thing Wayne has put out
People so thirsty for decent hip hop, they think Kendrick is the greatest! Got damn shame.
I been saying that for awhile
Kendrick and Cole: 13:14
Chris Rock has always been brilliant. One of the funniest, most cerebral comedians ever. Not allowing famous people to run for office makes so much sense. It's a theory that is so obvious but has been overlooked by everyone.
i liked the vid coz it proves J cole is #1
He's number 3
J cole vs Wale?
I love Chris Rock when he's not involved in horrible Adam Sandler movies
