About Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada:
Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on RUclips.
At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine. After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. Mr. Kondo is the master of Kansai style cooking, considered to be the high-end of Japanese cuisine. Chef Hiroyuki Terada is using the Minonokuni Matsu-1573 210mm Yanagi. Super Blue Steel. Can also be used for breaking down whole fish and chickens. But normally for slicing, sashimi, vegetables, meat etc.. This is Chef Hiro's custom specked knife.

Every time of the day is a good afternoon.
I would love to meet this guy and shake his hand. he is amazing and makes amazing food. Thank you guys for the videos and educating us!
One of my friend's sons is captain of the "Brenna A", the newest boat in the fleet featured on "The Deadliest Catch". I knew his dad before he died from complications of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig's Disease). He and I shared the same condition and I helped he his wife Jenny cope with the changes and challenges which come with ALS. Jenny and I remain friends to this day. I survive now via mechanical respiration. The few months before the show airs are quite nervous because I can follow the Brenna A's transponder and see the hairy seas they are in. The Bering Sea is most definitely not the friendliest place for humans, especially in Fall-Winter.

Wow, how many hick is your knife? 3/8ths (9.5mm) ? you can chop trees with that knife. Never seen a kitchen knife that thick.

It's good to pick up a passion for food at a young age! You will be so greatful for yourself later in life when you have the knowledge to make great dishes. Especially in young adult life whilst your peers are eating instant noodles and toast, you can make some delicious ramen instead for example. They will envy you soon enough, keep at it!

Crab meat in general is much more sweet than lobster.
King crab meat is also more prevalent than lobster, since they're considered "pests" in most areas they thrive.
