    Hearing the uncle speak is so comforting. The calmness, the lack of bitterness, the recognition of God's forgiveness, the emanating of forgiveness as a human being who is being wronged is so commendable. I pray that healing will take place for the family and all families that have lost their loved ones. It will not be easy but with time I hope the pain can lessen

This one hurts so horrible for us and we didn’t know them personally, so the pain these families are feeling is the worst they will ever deal with. Let’s say a special prayer for Ellie tonight and the rest of these little heroes who had to bear the burden of a failed country that they were supposed to be free in to go to school and make memories and form bonds that would last a lifetime. Instead, they have all become another hashtag so let’s send all the families so much love and positive energy. Even though it will never be enough comfort for the loss of a child.

      There is a book about an amish community that went through a shooting that explores this same question. It is called Amish grace. It is possible though not easy by any means. It was very moving.

      Yes you would be angry and rightly so, but then after the disbelief, shock, fear, anger and hatred and deep grief, come a form of acceptance and a will to go on. Forgiving is the HARDEST thing we humans can do...especially when it involves children, but I believe if one doesn't let it go, it will cloud your life and you will become a bitter human being. You become "that guy" and you become a victim of this tragedy.

    Unbearable suffering and pain, this type of pain does lessen but NEVER truly disappears. The parents and family are trapped in hell rn but hope and faith is what keeps these families going through their everyday w/o their children.

I think it’s important to allow yourself time to grieve and feel all the emotions that come with it. Disbelief, anger, sadness, etc. Give yourself time to process this tragedy.       Sadly this tragedy claimed the life of another victim. The husband of one of the slain teachers was in deep and unfathomable grief and as a result suffered a fatal heart attack. They were high school sweethearts and he was devoted to her! Many say he literally died of a broken heart! 4 devastated children now have had both of their parents ripped from their life and are now orphaned. RIP to this loving couple and prayers for their children. I cannot imagine what they are going through. ❤🙏❤🙏

      you really cant make that call. just some school admin you can’t tell the parents of a missing child “oh your kid probably was killed”. what are they supposed to say? they dont even know the identity of the victims at the time. and they dont know who is where, or who is in the hospital. I personally could never tell a parent their child was killed. I wouldn’t be able to physically say it.

      @2Juiced4Me, I’m with you. If the woman had tears in her eyes, she clearly had feelings and emotions in regards to all that had happened. She was not heartless. But she probably had no authority to convey information and at that stage it’s likely all the deaths hadn’t been confirmed. What is she going to say, “well she was probably in the classroom where a lot of kids were killed so she’s probably amongst the dead but I’m not sure yet,”? No. Of course not.

      When I went to school we took attendance each day and then the attendance sheet was taken to the office. It really shouldn’t take that long to account for all the students. And if the police did their job in a timely manner they should have had the situation handled before parents even had time to make it to the scene

    This is so heartbreaking to watch. I can’t even imagine the pain these families are going through. As a parent of two small children who can’t currently hug my kids because of Covid is painful that I couldn’t tuck them into bed or kiss or hug them for 3 days now but I can’t even imagine not having the opportunity or option to not have them after my isolation time is over. This truly is heartbreaking and I pray God wraps HIS arms around all these families and gives them the strength to get through these tough times.

      Maybe racism honestly. I mean we see insidious disparities between the way white and people of colour are treated wherever we look. The gunman for instance was of Latin descent and he is shot.     What a powerful statement from this precious man. God has this child and she will see her family again in heaven.

    This is a very compassionate and evolved man. With a broken heart he can still offer forgiveness. Much like the Amish did when they faced the same senseless horror. If more people, like them, could put hate and blame aside and look with clear heads for solutions maybe we can see real changes hapoen to prevent these tragedies.
    So far mitigating the damage has done nothing. Prevention is a thousand times more effective than a treatment. Get the guns off the streets and identify and treat disturbed people. Gun violence and mass shootings will be drastically reduced.

    Wow im so proud of you. That's the heart of a true christian who have experienced the love and forgiveness of the Lord Jesus. Prayers and healing upon all the grieving families and loved ones. Sending much love and sympathy frm the Philippines.

    If anyone realized that many of the caskets of these children couldn't be open due to the damage this cruel monster did to them, you wouldn't be so easy to forgive him.

    How can someone show forgiveness for that. I must be a different type of person but I could never forgive someone that does something like this to innocent children!

      His kid survived so that makes it a bit easier.
