Posting bunch of Shorts still work really great for me on my second channel as a side hustle. I mean, I am just small content creator and I work really hard (I also use a little bit of fame -ster, but that's a necessity nowadays). I just give all my videos small initial boost, and that caused them to spread literally everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.
What is "initial boost "? I also have a shorts channel but some of them don't make it to 500 views and the rest ar ir some dozen views if I am lucky. I am still learning how youtube works, to be honest still don't understandmost of it. I just upload daily and hope it goes well.
I think what he's saying is that if you choose the RIGHT model, such as a YT Channel, it continues to pay you long after you've put in the hard work. It's about working smarter, really.@@Rjsaikia

I have been releasing shorts every couple of days lately and have seen a huge increase in traction. I went from 4k to 11k subscribers from only a couple of shorts. I suggest captions on screen most of the time. I suggest faster paced too. But also have a climax in your short at the end so it ends and people feel they want more

Started like 12 days ago. 7 videos total so far. Getting 3k-6k views per vid if they make it into the shorts feed. One vid semi viral at 20k views and one vid that bombed at like 8 views total lol. Overall channel is around 42k views and 37subs (subs are really low in my opinion). I do all the video cutting and editing using adobe primere, capcut, and sometimes after effects. Depending on how long the full video im clipping from is, it takes me between 45min and 2 hrs to make a short. I do not use Opus.
@@beast_0088_ttIdk much about that tbh. I just leave the capcut export settings on default: 1080p, H.264, 30fps, and bitrate set to the "higher" option.

This is delusional. Yes this will help grow your channel, but you would never be able to monetize your account because you are reusing content (and you're adding nothing new, the only workaround really is creating commentary because you add your own unique content to it).
Statistically 57-59 seconds with AVD of 80% or more. The longer they stay on video, the more it will be pushed out. If you get 99-120% duration on video you will get millions of views.

Your health channel got extremely lucky. Most likely when you started it, reused content wasn't as saturated as it is now so RUclips was more accepting of it and another factor is sometimes monetization depends on the person who reviews your channel. Some reviewers will let things slide and others won't. Your clips have very minimum editing, I had a channel with clips from podcasts with more edits than yours and they rejected my application into the partner program.
I have been posting every day since May 13th this year but I have been slowing down by only posting every 2 days which actually boosted my views by a lot but lately, I haven't been putting so much work into it although my second latest short "blew up".
@bosniangoat1670 just as many as i need and that are related to the video, i currently use for example "JackSucksAtLife clip, JackSucksAtLife youtube play buttons, and JackSucksAtLife podcast clips" and i do the same for the description but which has no impact on the views.

Well, you have to keep posting to see what works, and I posted on RUclips for 4 years in this same channel before a saw that RUclips would push out my shorts. Also, correlation does it mean causation. I’ve seen people talk about viral content having high watch time and high swipe rates. I don’t know if those metrics “cause” videos to go viral or if viral videos inherently have those high ratings. Honestly I will never fully understand the algorithm or else every video would go viral. The only way to combat the uncertainty of the algorithm is to keep on posting and pivoting.

One niche I have been seeing everywhere lately is true crime videos. Ofc after watching a few, they are all over the sidebar... but they have some serious view counts. People love the topic and it hooks the audience really well, plus there is endless material to choose from. Another tip is to make a short "loop" so that the end seamlessly blends into the beginning. If you have music, calculate the length of the video based on the BPM and a typical structure of a multiple of 4,8,16,32 bars... if you get it right it will make the music sound continuous.
I was thinking in creating horror channel. But with longer videos and with midJourney photos, some animation and stock videos maybe. Is it worth it to make only shorts?

Channels are getting tagged by youtube for reused content, how to avoid it ?
Started like 12 days ago. 7 videos total so far. Getting 3k-6k views per vid if they make it into the shorts feed. One vid semi viral at 20k views and one vid that bombed at like 8 views total lol. Overall channel is around 42k views and 37subs (subs are really low in my opinion). I do all the video cutting and editing using adobe primere, capcut, and sometimes after effects. Depending on how long the full video im clipping from is, it takes me between 45min and 2 hrs to make a short. I do not use Opus.

@@beast_0088_ttIdk much about that tbh. I just leave the capcut export settings on default: 1080p, H.264, 30fps, and bitrate set to the "higher" option.

I started my channel a few months ago and overall the amount of views I am getting is a slow but positive slope, and because my videos have lists I always get 100% watch time. The only issue is that im having trouble finding a way to increase the length of the videos without decreasing the watchtime.

This is delusional. Yes this will help grow your channel, but you would never be able to monetize your account because you are reusing content (and you're adding nothing new, the only workaround really is creating commentary because you add your own unique content to it).

Statistically 57-59 seconds with AVD of 80% or more. The longer they stay on video, the more it will be pushed out. If you get 99-120% duration on video you will get millions of views.

Your health channel got extremely lucky. Most likely when you started it, reused content wasn't as saturated as it is now so RUclips was more accepting of it and another factor is sometimes monetization depends on the person who reviews your channel. Some reviewers will let things slide and others won't. Your clips have very minimum editing, I had a channel with clips from podcasts with more edits than yours and they rejected my application into the partner program.

@bosniangoat1670 just as many as i need and that are related to the video, i currently use for example "JackSucksAtLife clip, JackSucksAtLife youtube play buttons, and JackSucksAtLife podcast clips" and i do the same for the description but which has no impact on the views.

Well, you have to keep posting to see what works, and I posted on RUclips for 4 years in this same channel before a saw that RUclips would push out my shorts. Also, correlation does it mean causation. I’ve seen people talk about viral content having high watch time and high swipe rates. I don’t know if those metrics “cause” videos to go viral or if viral videos inherently have those high ratings. Honestly I will never fully understand the algorithm or else every video would go viral. The only way to combat the uncertainty of the algorithm is to keep on posting and pivoting.
Also, are there any creator groups you are aware of because I’ve been looking to get connected with other creators

One niche I have been seeing everywhere lately is true crime videos. Ofc after watching a few, they are all over the sidebar... but they have some serious view counts. People love the topic and it hooks the audience really well, plus there is endless material to choose from. Another tip is to make a short "loop" so that the end seamlessly blends into the beginning. If you have music, calculate the length of the video based on the BPM and a typical structure of a multiple of 4,8,16,32 bars... if you get it right it will make the music sound continuous.
