TTC 5661-5666 with Modified Announcements

July 31 | 2013 Toronto Rocket #5661-5666 | Museum to Spadina | TTC once again modified the TR announcement system. Now every time such a train is arriving at a station (except terminal stations), it notifies which side the doors will open. (The message for interchange stations also changed.) The message for terminal stations ("This is a terminal station." is left unchanged.)

During the TTC's ACAT public forum on accessible transit meeting on Sep. 16. 2015, it was confirmed by TTC officials (as most ppl have suspected) that all TR trains will soon be receiving new announcements which includes the side doors will open on, left/right (taken from the point of view of the front of the train or the direction of travel) as well as updated interchange station announcements, such as "Change for Line2/4" replacing the current message "This station connects with the Bloor-Danforth/Sheppard subway".

Well bloor and danforth/sheppard and RT subway need to be updated for deaf and deaf blind and hearing blind need to be closer to driver because how able deaf and deafblind can know what happen on train if in trouble also so my suggest for TTC to take course to help people with special needs on board train on bloor and danforth and sheppard and RT to be tested for use with special needs who need support i am one deaf blind who use TTC lots and noticed many driver on TTC subway not helpful and nice so we need to take very seriously to change for us to help people with special needs so all driver who drive the subway need to respect to deafblind and deaf people not hit on door how rude driver not know people need board the train they need take time not rushing how rude you are driver of subway you need to be respectful to special needs who need be treat with respect on subway i mean it i will take it to the board meeting if you agree with me we will set up meeting i mean it

bloor and Danforth are not seprate lines its called the bloor-danforth line AND NO KEEP THE OLD TRAINS ON ATLEAST ONE OR TWO LINES THE NEW TRAINS ARE OVERRATED

I sure hope the TTC does NOT phase in the new automated audio door opening side announcements (Doors will open on the left/right) on all TR trains, because I find that ABOUSOLUTLY CRITIZING since people can be facing the front/rear of the train.

trinigal1001 Vision impaired passengers may find this useful. It's common sense the announcements will be taken in the point of view of the front of the train (the direction that the train is travelling).
