Three TTC employees voice the 5,600 voice prompts used by the TTC on subways, busses and streetcars. They are seen and heard in the TTC recording studio. Video by Richard Lautens.
"The next stop is Christie.... *sigh* Christie Station." I like how she adds a bit of a passive-agressive touch on the end. It's strange, but weirdly entertaining. "Christie Station." (You can't articulate it in typing)
I will always remember Bigioni's voice from when I was visiting Toronto; I took the Bloor-Danforth line quite often during my visit, and so I heard her voice the most. She's good at it, too.
Wow i love that voice i was riding the TTC The Whole Time and i heard all of these announcements they been working i was like wow is that a person talking one of these announcement sounds loud and clear well 3 of them did a good job they should keep up the good work in there they did a very good job 👍😁😄 I'm super proud of them let's Rock around Ontario Canada and party
"Attention all passengers in Bloor/Danforth Line, we are currently experiencing a delay, Eastbound of Castle Frank Station due to Emergency Alarm activated on the train. Response personnel are on the scene. Sorry for any inconvenience caused." :-D

I'm a voice actor and I am not joking one bit when I say that one of my dreams in life is to be the voice that says "Please stand clear of the closing doors" on the TTC. I know that there are bigger fish to fry at the moment but who do I have to send a petition to to get me to be the TTC voice please
those are some hard looking women, they look like they have been sitting out in the sun for way too long. 0:24 this ones eyes are so far apart you might have to take the subway to get between the them
Who are u kidding it sounds more like..... We are currently experienceing minor service disruption at bleeeepbloooop shhhhkkkkkhhh kkkhhhsshhhh kkkssshhhh and shhhhtttttkkkkk stations. Plz be advised shhhhkkkkkhhh tttttkkkkkkkssshhh will resume in shhhhkkkkkhhh bleeepbloooop. Thk u for ur cooperation. Bleeepbloooop lololol wut a joke
I hate the voice of subway. I miss the old guy who would talk on the PA. You still hear him the odd time in the tunnel talking about trains being slower than normal due to track work ahead. He had a real nice loud, clear and proffessional voice.
@@BurnedNoodle It used to be a pre-recording by TTC employee Cheryl Bome, but with the implementation of the new VISION system, it got a new computer voice calling out the stops now.
TTC drivers drive 8 hours per day or more .... they don't get Lunch or Dinner break - this is from a health point of view not healthy , many drivers have no access to a washroom . Terrible . Mississauga Transit the same thing . Brampton Transit have 30 to 60 minute break after 4-5 hours of driving - Excellent Management . 🚎🚎🚎🚎🚎
The woman doing the line 2 voices sounds a lot more enthusiastic here compared to the actual audio clips used in the trains.
"The next stop is Christie.... *sigh* Christie Station."

"Christie Station."

Who was the lady that did the original announcements that sounded like she needed some Antidepressants ?
@@markdm4805Susan Bigioni has been the voice since at least 2007, up until they started using VISION on the Toronto Rockets
@@sovb 💀💀💀💀
Isn't it crazy how just one woman's voice is heard by so many thousands of people, every single day. She's a part of so many lives in Toronto.
I feel like my life is complete now lol
JC Denton c
I always thought it would be cool to have the Barenaked Ladies sing the song Jane when the subway approaches Jane station. JAAAANNE
I will always remember Bigioni's voice from when I was visiting Toronto; I took the Bloor-Danforth line quite often during my visit, and so I heard her voice the most. She's good at it, too.
Can TTC hire Arnold Schwarzenegger to voice Line 1? "GET AUGHT OF DA CHOPPA!!!!!"
😂😂😂😂
@Bros AndShortFilms you said it
and don't forget. "I'll be back!"
If only Seth Rogan had watched this video before recording his subway announcements. They are incomprehensible in the echoey stations
The first woman has the best voice
Love it. Glad to see faces in the beautiful and amazing voices when I ride the subway. Thank you ladies.
She amazes me for doing all I mean all of the TTC streets names Cheryl Bome
2 new additions to my bucket list...
I love the subway voice. Her recorded voice sounds very robotic but beautiful.
Especially the ones on Line 1 the Line 2 voices are so dystopoan and she sounds so pissed its like "Arriving at *sighs* bay.. bay station"
Cherryl Bome Voice Sound Just like The Bus But Susan Doesn’t Too Much
Amazing voices, nice to meet you all

I've been searching for this for some reason
Next stop...
*_oh sh*t what do I say_*
Bathust Street
😏 nice impression
One of the things that i enjoyed be on the subway was listening the voices during the road ..
I LOVEEEEEE THISSSSS ❤😊
I really like it
if those aren't the real voice actors, they did a very good job
the good voices
Scarborough RT and Subway seem to have different voices.
***** It's the same voice just the RT sounds TERRIBLE.
Matthew Vatcher Why are you following me?
***** Just ingnor him LOL NO CHEST FOR U GO TO UR ITEMS

You don't do a petition
You get a job at The TTC
Also
Its please stand clear of the doors
Not stand clear of the closing doors
We aren't like NYC and don't want to be
Can we hire Train Daddy himself, Andy Byford, to record some of these? lmao
Susan is now only the voice heard on the Line 2 Bombardier T-series and the Line 3 UTDC ICTS Mark I S-series.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 rent free in my head
woman one my favorite
Now they use an automated text to speech voice program on the TRs. It's Acapela Heather.
I like the newer TTC Logo
The second ladys voice I have heard on streetcars Nd subways
They should do an uptalking version: The next station? is Bathurst?
You're the woman that I am in love with. I finally found my love😢😢
She makes my Coxwell...... Stn. Lolol
The last girl is BABEview Station
Edmonton station! lol
Time to bust out some music with that DJ while you're at it!
I have hardly heard Jessica's voice doing the PSA's on the system, but damn if she isn't fine looking
If you watched the CP24 Breakfast/Morning show through the late 2000s and 2010s, you would see her; she would report the delays on the TTC.
She used to be on CP24.
Unfortunately the TTC now uses robotic voices who can't pronounce anything
yotoronto12 not the Bloor-Danforth line
0:28 I'd love to hear Jessica Martin's voice every day.... outside the TTC... if you know what I mean. Beautiful girl!
I thought the subway & bus had the same person who said it. xD
no
I thought it was all A.I.. well I’m impressed with TTC 😃
They've mostly been replaced with Text to Speech. The only remaining human voices are on the older subway trains and station announcements

ah., mystery solved. is this relevant still?? I feel like line 1 has a different voice though
joyjoyoo It's voice is automated.

Line 2 B.D. isnt so enthusiastic voice as Line 1 Y.U.
RorroXion97 The Toronto Rocket Voice are Automated and The T1 is not
they sound like GLaDOS now
yea its sad
The only exceptions are the T1 (line 2) and the SRT (line 3), which use Susan Bigioni's voice.
AT 23 Seconds The Woman who appears on this Video I IMMEDIATELY FEEL IN love WITH HER. sHE IS such A sweetheart
Super Mario 64..... anyone?
Volian0 What’s THATS Supposed to be at
I thought the voices are robots
Only on the Yonge-University line. The Bloor-Danforth uses the lady's voice
Ⰾⱔⰽⱁⰿⰹⱃ Ⰳⱃⱁⰸⱐⱀⱏⰹ Exactly it’s currently the only line in Toronto to use the pre-recorded robotic voice when they replaced the trains.

They sound disinterested on the actual subway
Wth lol ;-;
Vocie lessie on pronouncing your T's; focie morie on not being a crap company.
Imagine what feminists would do if they got all guys to voice the TTC.

Hey! Hey she stole the Subway’s voice!
That is a T1 voice
