I've never fished for chub. I've never fished in the UK. I know that a lot of trout fishermen in the US hate chub. But what a beautiful fish. They look amazing. Well done.
what a beautiful little run that is, probably packed with fish! the only thing i would say to you as a fly fisher of 40 years is get your line on the reel, its asking for trouble having loose line at your feet and especially in running water, so many places line can catch on and then you'll hit that big fish and it'll break you off
Love it mate. Strong fish on a 5wt is such good fun. Glad you enjoyed it and keep up the fly videos!! You’ll have boxes and boxes of flies in no time 😂
Pleased to see you found success after the last attempt with the fly rod!much more fun than spinning rod/lure and better sport too. Once you get the hang of it try a 6ft flyrod 3 weight line and those 3lb chub will lead you an even merrier dance !dont be scared to let fish run when they need to,just keep tension on the line and let em run,you seem to be picking it up well.Tight lines and great fish handling as ever(Im sure chub would have shed the barbless hook that snapped you)👍
Your catching the same chubb cast after cast mate 😂 lovely fishing it's great catching on the fly rod keep it up Chris great to see you out on the fly rod again
Great video again Chris and you got the fish you were looking for. The fishing videos have certainly improved when I think of watching Jack Hargreaves on TV years ago (I'm showing my age now!)
Fantastic session mate, good to see you back on the fly setup. Love the how genuine your excitement is, nothing beats lifting into a rising fish on an upstream dry fly!
Love your channel i dont fish any more but you have got me wonting to catch a big perch 😂 i never filled that target .keep up the great work you do have some amazing walters .👍👊
Brilliant fishing once again, one question please, how do you manage to film with your drone and fish at the same time? I think the drone footage really makes all the difference and your videos are second to none. Well done. Graham.
you have to try the "earplug fly". it's basically a yellow or orange foam earplug threaded on to a size 8 streamer hook. works well for me for chub - the yellow ones seem to be best but maybe that's because I use them more often
Hi Chris,I'm interested in bombarda float fishing,do you think you could do a vid on them?I bet Bombarda would be happy to have you advertise for them.
Great video as normal m8 Love them drone snippets must be so much hard work making it all work. But me for one love watching the new vids when they arrive
Hi Mate, firstly love the videos. Been watching for a while now. So, I'm coming back to fishing after 30 years and want to start Trout fishing. So, my questions is how do you find these waters? Are they club waters or Google Map searches? How do you know you can fish etc. Appreciate any help.
Here in Montana we use flies imitating dozens of species of mayflies, caddis flies, stoneflies, midges, hoppers, beetles, ants, minnows and crawdads, in all stages of the life cycle from nymphs to spent spinners, but I have never seen a fly tied to imitate bread. But it sure seems to work for you. Wierd. Good video by the way.
Do you ever hook trout in the river you seem to regularly fish?? I wonder because most streams and rivers hold wild brown trout and sea trout n salmon at certain times of the year. I know brown trout would like the pattern your using.
Just a heads up. It seems that RUclips has done the thing they normally do and randomly unsubbed a tonne of people without them knowing. I am subbed to you but didnt see your video in my feed and still didnt see it till it came up on the recommended videos page which i clicked on and discovered I had been unsubbed.
Them chub where so healthy. Brilliant session and you had no accidents 😂😂😂
I've never fished for chub. I've never fished in the UK. I know that a lot of trout fishermen in the US hate chub. But what a beautiful fish. They look amazing. Well done.

That stream wasnt that small, you're very lucky to have permission to fish such prolific waters.
Is there a link for where you got the bread fly please Chris?
Nice fish
These are brilliant, Chris. Do you have someone with you filming and doing the drone shots?
Hi I had A question do you have tips for trout fishing becouse i am going to fish on trout next week in belgium

You going to have to dye your beard its very bright against the foiliage and your camo gear 😂
Do you want some of my flys that I’ve been tying. I’ve got some streamers and cat whiskers along with some dog biscuit flys and Willy buggers
Haha|! When your line got snapped, I could almost hear your body language and mind, despite the silence. "BASTARD!"
Keep out of them nettles 😅
