The rainy weather here in Ireland has been a little too much also over the past 2 weeks. It's been warm and very humid too, but it has the perch biting like crazy. In canals they're packed against lock-gates making the most of the rainy food flush. I've been pulling them out with 5 gram curly-tail lures almost conveyor belt style. Great fun and always catch and careful release.
Still in a working mode, got 5 nightshifts left (wednesday thursdag this week and wednesday thursday friday next week) until a 2 week vacation, and at least 1 of those weeks will be dedicated to fishing. Im really looking forward to it. This video and others of yours makes it easier to endure.
Good man, abandon the rat-race and fish on. My bicycle trailer is packed to the brim for 4 days of gratuitous bass fishing (the salt water variety that is), so civilisation be damned.
G'day mate. Love your work. We don't have the freezing weather conditions over here in Western Australia but I have successfully managed to implement some of your methods of catching big redfin. You have a different range of lures over there but the principles of colour and design are the same.
From Finland here. Interesting to see so many large perch concentrated in small freshwater flows. Over here we have loads of large perch but they are dispersed in the thousands of lakes and rivers, not necessarily so easy to catch several in one go unless you visit a place that has not been fished in recent times (of which there are loads too) - or if you fish the Baltic sea, which, being breakwater, also has perch in it and often big ones. I take it you do not eat the fish you catch? Perch that size would definitely get eaten by most fishermen in here as perch is quite good in taste.
We are in a drought here in Texas and it's torture to watch out beautiful waterways shrinking. Nice video! I'd like to fish for perch in your country one day.
great vid mate cheers for that I love for you to try out my local river show me what I'm doing wrong lol great reel by the way just got myself a Antares DC baitcaster the more high end Shimano's are fantastic keep up the good work pal.
Hi Chris,I'm from the Highlands of Scotland and I fish for trout and salmon mainly not to keen on pike fishing, but my favourite fish if all are sea trout,I love watching your videos keep up the good work,I'm also looking for a coupl of spinning rods and reels, don't mind if they are second hand as long as they work fine,if you might know someone, thanks Chris,Jon MacPherson from north Scotland,👍🎏💯
Feck !! That puts me to shame.....Brilliant stuff as always.... Looks like my BFS setup will be used again pretty soon..... I've been out in this crap weather but ain't caught owt bigger than around 8oz, although I did nab a rather feisty 8lb 4oz Pike on a 2" Fox Micro Spikey Fry and a 2-8g Warrior rod.....Certainly surprised me, especially on a flourocarbon leader.....
Chris awesome as usual, may I ask how far that river is from where you live,as if it's local to you, I'm well jel you have it on your doorstep and is it free fishing ? been with your channel a while now and never tire of your professional fishing, filming,oh and don't forget falling haha, just keep what doing mate, your killing it,best wishes
Great vid very well made, I really enjoyed it. I am surprised at the set up, in particular the large size of hooks on those lures, would love it if someone could explain please? Thanks and tight lines.
i do like your vids mate, i fish the upper severn a lot, now thats a river you should try, its in such a sorry state . no weed , no minnows no parr just dirty water , a river without weed is a dead river
Man, being American is good for learning the conversions of measurements. I still will never have the innate feel for how much a gram weighs, but I'm confident that a centimeter is probably almost as long as say . . . ten millimeters? But how long are those? xD Beautiful fish as always, love your attitude.
I'm from Ireland🇮🇪 that perch is a whopper I think UK perch are bigger cause more species that they feed on one place kildare was same size crayfish they were feeding on
i go fishing at least 1 a week for the past 4 months changing spots changing lures but still didn't catch anything does anyone know whag the problem is?
I'm watching from Germany. And I'm surprised how many small streams, ponds and puddles Chris is fishing in his surroundings. The last time I visited England is about 45 years ago. In those days I spent my time in Cornwall and was sometimes marine fishing. Is it affordable for a EU citizen to spend a holiday in England at the moment?
@@popogast depends how far you are travelling from , and your definition of affordable, however if you are in germany there is some amazing areas to catch fish there aswell, as there is in all of europe
Watching from Finland. The fishing looks very nice, especially fishing fish you can see in the canals, but it is somewhat weirdto see fishing that is happening in these "cramped" quarters being myself used to having large and small lakes and rivers all over the country and spending the summers in a summer cottage by a good medium-sized (by Nordic standards, but actually probably bigger than any lake in the UK) lake.
Hi, Why do you measure fish length ? I used to fish years ago and it was always about weight but I see more and more people on you tube measuring fish length and dont get why ?
I am from The Netherlands, but same weather situation here, i love your content, Chris keep it up!!!😃😃😃
Yeah, he has a very easy style and excellent variation that's very likeable.
genuinely best content creator on RUclips. Keep up the good work

What does BFS stand for
Hi
TOP 💯🎣
Sorry Chris but, what is BFS?
It stands for Bait finesse system. Basically a baitcaster that can throw really small baits
@@The_ginger_fisherman Duh, thanks Chris. Nice to see you making such great use of your new BFS set up.
