Your videos are GREAT! Thank you guys as you are showing us the way, may god bless you! I’m asking if I completed my internship - which is 1 year- and then directly finished my PLABs seeking job opportunities there at the UK without having clinical experience. Will I get the training job as a CT1 training or as FY2? Even if i’m looking for non-training posts would they be FY2 title or CT1? Or the whole thing depends on the jobs you find (i.e you can find both of them and just look up for CT1)?
Hey Salam Sir. Thankyou so much for sharing your journey! Im a final year med student from Pakistan. I appreciate your hard work and consistency. Hi Sir! Thank u for sharing your journey... I've completed my MBBS in India. My ultimate goal is to do the FRCS. Which route is better? Doing a pg in India and clearing MRCS then doing FRCS or should I take the plab route. Please guide me sir!
Zalama Alaykum Dr-Ibrahim first of All thanks you so much for this great info! It actually helps me a lot. I'm 5th year med student currently studying in china Getting the PLAB pathways was always in my mind since the 2nd year of med school, I think about a lot planing towards my goal. Question! What type of visa should I apply getting the UK as international graduate student?

Passed PLAB 1 a month back. Will travel to UK for PLAB 2 once the corona virus situation settles down. Do you think IMG's have any chance to enter Core Surgical training? Surgery in the UK is my dream.
Yes of course. Surgery is a competitive field no matter where you go, but that doesn't make it impossible if you are an IMG. Please also see: roadtouk.com/blog/specialty-training-in-surgical-specialties/
good achivement! I am from Indonesia and I am working as a docotr in Germany. I am planing to pursue my training in the UK. How did you prepare the IELTS Exam? Is Englsih a second mother language in Bangladesh?
Hi I am currently trying the USMLE I had already passed STEP 1 but not with a really good grade. my YOG is 2018 and with all COVID-19 my plan is not what it supposed to be because I was supposed to take all the exams this year and apply, I am considering doing taking PLAB . Does COVID affected this exam too?
After plab1&2 why applying for a job? where you already a specialist or the job is for specialisation. I want to pass the plab exam in other to enter in a residency. And can we apply for the job without being in the uk ? And also during FY where you paid? And also the foundation year is only in one specialty or it possible to switch from one speciality to another ? The specialty where one does his Foundation year does it play a role after ? Sorry for the multiples question
Greetings Dr Ivan, I've got a question for you. If you were to take that first job offer whose hospital wanted you to be at the F1 level would that have forced you to spend an additional year as an F2 in order to get the FPCC so you could apply for specialty the following year? Or could the 12 months in F1 allowed you to become licensed and apply via CREST form for specialty the following year?
That offer was a 2 year mandatory rotation of FY1 and FY2 after which they would sign the CREST form. Failure to complete it would mean that they would not sign it.
After I take OET/IELTS do I have to finish both PLAB 1 & 2 in two years, that is within the validity of IELTS/OET ? or Is the validity only for registering with GMC, and we can have more leeway with booking exam dates ?
Can i go back to my country after finishing PLAP 2 and if i get my exam results as "succeeded or passed", i can apply for jobs while i stay in my country and do interviews online in a video meeting or something like that if i can not afford staying in UK for long time after taking PLAP2 exam? Or that's not possible and i will have to go again to UK or stay in Uk after taking PLAP2 test to wait for the results and make interview in person in uk?
Sir. Thanks for such a nice video. I ll be graduating MBBS by 2023... How about the job opportunities after plab then? Will it be saturated after 2 or 3 years as many a people are taking this route now?

Hello!! Great video. Wanted to know whether working in a small clinic in india Post jnternship counted as medical experience or you need hospital experience??thanks in advance
Very informative thank you very much ❤️ I have done my 12 months clerkship (minimum of 3 months in medicine and surgery as required by the GMC), but we have patient interactions for only a couple of months, due to the pandemic rest of the rotations were online simulation. So do I get FULL GMC registration? I cannot find anything regarding this on the website. Please help if u can Thank you 😊
You're welcome! Ultimately it would be down to GMC to decide, but there is no reason to think they would not accommodate it given the global situation.
Why did you choose going to abroad and not settle in your country with post graduation?? I mean to ask why abroad is better than our home country? By the way I belong to India
Before 'better' or 'worse', I thought about my opportunity and circumstances. In Bangladesh, post graduation is very competitive to enter, stressful, and unbalanced in the passing rate. Also, I took into consideration the pay in the long term as well as the work-life balance, and it just made sense to me to look abroad.

Thank you for your information ❤️ I want to ask you something, doc. Because of pandemic, the health ministry in my home country just cut the periode of internship from 1 year to only 9 months. What do you think? And what should I do? Am I still able to apply for GMC Registration after done taking PLAB 1&2? Thank you 😊
Sir... Thank you for such a great information ❤️ I have one last doubt... I would like to do my speciality in paediatrics... What is the duration of total post graduation at UK including speciality training? Do I get any salary during the post graduation course?? Once again a very big thank u from India🙏

I have 2 questions
I m 37years now, done post graduation in orthopedics from pakistan, but my qualification is not valid in UK.
I have chosen path of PLAB rather than MRCS
My questions are that
1.Have you seen people of my age coming this way to UK and have been working at the junior level?
2.Did anyone got surgery residency?
You can certainly do PLAB at age 37 but to move forward in surgery you have to pass MRCS and get a training ticket in surgery

What about non training job in orthopedic surgery?
Age should not be a barrier, and it will not prevent you from pursuing what you want to do in the UK.

It can also be done at CT1 level, but speak to your consultant first.
Should I ask before joining the trust, or once I join the trust and start my job? At the moment, I only have email address of HR and not of consultants directly. I am about to join the trust within couple of months
Can you please describe more about the document you spoke about your father emailing you? What is it n how to get it or what other equivalent certificates are valid in its place?
It was the certificate of good standing: roadto.uk/zyVv
I have a question.....did you write your plab1 during your internship or after?
During internship.
I wish if you could please share with us from which guides/books have you been preparing PLAB 1 and 2? I am really interested in that so I can decide is moving to UK for me or not

Thank you for your information ❤️
I want to ask you something, doc. Because of pandemic, the health ministry in my home country just cut the periode of internship from 1 year to only 9 months. What do you think? And what should I do? Am I still able to apply for GMC Registration after done taking PLAB 1&2? Thank you 😊
It's difficult to say since the pandemic has changed so many things. Only GMC would be able to say for sure.
Sir... Thank you for such a great information ❤️
I have one last doubt...
I would like to do my speciality in paediatrics...
What is the duration of total post graduation at UK including speciality training?
Do I get any salary during the post graduation course??
Once again a very big thank u from India🙏

Thank you so much for saying so! No it is not a must, but at the very least you should find a group to practice with.
