So how much are you restricted in hours to work in the UK? I understand 20 hours is the max if you go to another hospital to pick up hours. So is there a standard in the number of max hours a person can make within a pay period or month, year week etc? It sounds alot like the Pharoah call center jobs in the US. Is this Call center Doctors work in a clinical form?

Hello I am preparing for plab .I am in UK with tier 2 dependent visa , in the instructions they mention I can't be a doctor in training . Can you please help me to get an idea about it .
The pay is based on your training level, not your specialty. If you are at the first stage of internal medicine training, that is equivalent to CT1/ST1 pay.

Sir, thanks for nice information, kindly tell does NHS doctors get resident facilities from NHS or one have to live at rent? If we stay at rent then do we get HRA (House Rent Allowance). Specially for ST3 level.
Some hospitals offer accommodation at a cost, but they can be limited and have some restrictions (such as no children, etc). In the UK, housing allowance is only for those who do not make enough salary on their own and require government help (benefits).

Good question. There is extra pay but only in/near London (called the London weighting). There may be slight regional differences across the UK but not very significant and certainly not to the level of London.
Yes, as mentioned, there is London weighting. Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and England have different basic pay rates, but these tend to reflective how expensive the areas are as well.

As good as anyone else. You just need to meet the criteria and make a good portfolio.
Do doctors have private practice in uk? If yes, then How common is that? What's the eligibilty and how's the payscale in private sector?
Yes. It's a personal choice. Eligibility and pay is dependent on the organization and can vary with experience and demand.
Thank you very much. Not sure if someone has asked this question before but do you get any pay enhancement if you have masters ?
Not unless it is relevant to the post, and even then it would be something you'd need to negotiate.

Banding applies to most healthcare workers with the exception of doctors (and dentists) who are on a different pay scale.
