Hello, great video! I haven't written the plab exams yet, but I'm booked for plab 1 currently. I only have one year of internship which I completed in 2021 so I'm very insecure about applying for jobs after GMC registration. I dont know if i should go for the fy2 standalone or a junior doctor position. Please what do you think?
I did MD in Respiratory Medicine. I am really interested in working in UK through MTI route. Can you please guide me how to apply and become a clinical fellow in Respiratory medicine department in UK?
Hi, Bundle of thanks for so much valuable guidance in your video. Is there any institute that offers ILS by Resus UK course remotely? OR you must be physically present in the UK to complete this course? Please guide in this regard.
Let me real with all of you, for 9 out of 10 of us listening to this, none of this advise is going to help. I have 4 years post-graduation experience in various branches of medicine, ALS certificate, NHS clinical attachment experience, multiple small courses, teaching experience etc. I have been applying for 10 months now, and I got only one single interview out of 300+ applications. I closely follow Person specification in every application and I have even attended a few courses on how to make my CV better. So, neither ALS nor CPD points are going to help you honestly. That is because unfortunately they have allowed simply too many IMG doctors to get their GMC registration without any plan to employ them afterwards, unless you have someone within some institution to help you out. That is the reality, so if you are even thinking of coming to the UK as a medical doctor, my advice is to think twice, because it is going to be a truly awful experience.
Whatever you've told is correct. The video is about 18 months old. I've posted the update about 7 months ago ruclips.net/video/rnH5FeJR5p4/видео.htmlsi=pryu5o93M6A6JGGq
I got full registration almost a year ago, not shortlisted even once. I got ALS, BSS, close to 100 CPD points, formal teacher training, clinical attachment at NHS, international presentation, local presentations, 5 audits/presentations at NHS, teaching at NHS, resat OET(previous one expired), 5 years of exp after the F1 year in A&E in my home country, managerial role history, medical school prize, voluntary work and some other stuff. I have been applying for ALL the F1 and F2 jobs all over the UK without distinction because ST level jobs require MRCS/MRCP(at least part A) and usually some other courses as essential criteria. So I guess I should take ATLS and USG courses and sit MRCP/MRCS and apply for those jobs ?
Great video, thanks for explaining things in detail. And I have a question if you don't mind. Do you know if psychiatry CT1 position jobs would also require a good CV? I heard they hire depending on MSRA scores of applicants without even doing an interview.
@@UKDreamers Thanks, that's really good to know! Another question, would I be overqualified for an FY2 job if I had more than 1.5 years of experience working as an Emergency medicine doctor? I heard that I might have to start from CT1 positions if I work for that long.
@@UKDreamers Is that a rule NHS states or is it just a general rule all trusts hold? To be honest, I'm struggling to access that kind of information like what counts as an overqualification or what routes would I have if I was overqualified. Where can I learn more about these?
Is it a good idea to do post grad in UK thru plab, and come back to India, also what are the chances of someone landing a pg course after passing both plab 1 and 2, thank you.
the postgraduation in UK is also a national recruitment process. you apply for the specialties you want to train in, every specialty has its own format, interviews / exams. CCT from UK is recognised in India as additional qualification so you can work as well.
Hi sir, I failed mrcp part 1 because I had to prepare for the PLAB 2 exam and visa procedures ..can I mention that in CV? Planning to retake in November 2023. Also how can we do some short course in India?
Hello, I would not advise for it. It does show your commitment towards medical speciality, but if you clear it, then only it will add some more additions to your cv. Resit in November & get through. Regarding short courses - in which aspect are you asking ? Best wishes
Hi I hv done my mbbs and md in community medicine from India ( 2021 completed ) Currently m working with WHO for the last one year and wish to switch to uk for my paediatric residency Do u think this non clinical gap still makes it doable for me to pursue this long journey Community medicine is more like family medicine with only outpatient exposure and no in patient clinics
Hello, If you are able to justify the reason for the gap then should be reasonable. Please get a job now if possible to show some clinical engagement. BW
Can i do any job in any hospital before plab 1.because i am comming in uk with my wife. She will be joineed NHS as a staff nurse. But sir what can i do in uk when my plab 1 and plab 2 is not cleared please sir reply

Do GMC accepts the year 6th as an internship or housejob from Ukrainian medical schools? Or one needs to complete one year internship after graduating from Ukraine
The 6th year is still a part of your primary medical qualification & not an internship year. I won't be counted as internship. Once through with licensing exam in your Homecountry, apply for internship.
Thankyou. I found this video quite helpful.
Very valuable information. Thank you sir

There are multiple ways of building a cv.
But what are the most efficient ways of building a good cv in your home country ?
Thank you boss 🙌

Thank you Sir, please share the links & websites to do the short courses in medicine. If you can

You are lucky you got an interview with 300 applications. I know people with 1000 applications and not a single interview
What about USMLE is the shit the same
Sir, in maharashtra, we have bond after mbbs of 1 year, how will it affect my cv will it have any merit or demerit?

At the moment only MSRA scores are being used for shortlisting & training offers.

@Once Byulharang you won't be able to F2 jobs. Look for Junior clinical fellow / clinical fellow jobs.

@Once Byulharang it's applicable to surgical specialities only at the moment
I have a question that after passing plab ,if i dont get job should i go for mrcog part 1 exam to improve cv?
I have done ACLS offered by the American Heart Association. Will I have to do a similar one offered by UK associations as well?
Hello, UK follows ALS by Resus Council.
Thus ACLS is not acceptable here
Sir can you guide regarding online courses/certs from where can i do it. Will it help with my CV?

We have super difficult exams and verification process to get GMC
