  • Today's video is a compilation of multiple Whiskey Cocktails. From the iconic Old Fashioned to the modern Gold Rush and a few in between, these are the BEST Whiskey Cocktails that I think YOU need to know!

    The Cocktails created here are as follows:
    The Old Fashioned:
    .25 oz./ 7 ml Simple Syrup
    2-3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
    2 oz./ 60 ml Whiskey
    Stir over a big rock of ice in your chosen glass. Garnish with an Orange Twist
    The Whiskey Sour
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Lemon Juice
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Simple Syrup
    2 oz./ 60 ml Whiskey
    1 Egg White
    Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker, DRY shake with no ice for 10-15 seconds, add ice and shake again for 10-15 seconds. Strain into a large Coupe glass, garnish with Bitters.
    Gold Rush:
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Lemon Juice
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Honey Syrup
    2 oz./ 60 ml Whiskey
    Combine ingredients in a shaker, shake over ice for 10-15 seconds, strain into a Rocks glass over fresh Ice.
    Blood and Sand
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Orange Juice
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Sweet Vermouth
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Cherry Heering
    .75 oz./ 22 ml Scotch Whiskey
    Combine ingredients in a shaker. Shake for 10-15 seconds, strain into stemware such as a Nick and Nora.
    Sazerac:
    Barspoon of Simple Syrup
    2-3 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters
    2 oz./ 60 ml Rye Whiskey
    Stir over ice for 15-20 seconds. Let sit on ice and rinse rocks glass with Absinthe. Strain cocktail into rinsed glass without Ice. Garnish with Lemon Twist.
    Honorable Mentions-
    Texas Sunset:
    .25 oz./ 7 ml Honey Syrup
    2-3 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters
    2 oz./ 60 ml Bulleit Bourbon
    Combine in your chosen Rocks Glass, Stir over a Big Rock.
    Strawberry Bourbon Iced Tea:
    1 oz./ 30 ml Strawberry Syrup
    1 oz./ 30 ml Bourbon
    Place ingredients into a Collins Glass, Top with UNSWEETENED Iced Tea.

    Have you tried Agave syrup instead of simple syrup? It's a nice change. Lessons the sweetness somewhat.

      I have not tried that, yet. Certainly could be interesting to do such a change. I'll have to check it out.

      really? i've found every time i use agave i need to cut it back because it's sweeter than my standard demerara simple syrup
